  1. Thanks for the reply. Glad I asked first before spending the comms. Kind of odd to continue to see so many people recommend it anyway for Shadow tanks in light of the 2.5 changes. Just to be clear about something. Even though the relic says "Healing an ally ...", self heals also count for proc activation, correct? Does something like using a medpack also count for this? How about a power like Force in Balance from the Balance tree? I realize that Balance is not a tanking tree but I'm just trying to understand how this kind of relic actually works. Thanks
  2. I was hoping to get some clarification about how these healing Relics work and why they are recommended for Jedi Shadows. Particularly Jedi Shadow tanks. I believe the text from the Arkanian Relic of Ephemeral Mending says (in part): Equip: Healing an ally has a 50% chance to restore an additional 580 health over 3 seconds. I have been looking through the various threads about Shadow tanking and I see this relic recommended in almost all of them. But I am trying to understand why. As far as I know, Shadows do not have any ability to heal an ally. How would the proc on this relic ever work? Thanks for the help
  3. Interesting. That means there must be two trigger points for this one. Tharan said it to me while I was still standing in the Quick Travel platform. Is that typical?
  4. Thanks for the replies. Sorry I didn't post sooner. Does anyone know if there is a guide of some type that explains the various aspects of playing in groups?
  5. Hello, I have been playing SWTOR for about two months I have been trying to understand how teaming in this game works. I’m not looking for combat tips. What I’m trying to understand are things like: - How mission sharing works and what effect it has on your team. - Also, what is the impact of having someone on your team that you have not shared a mission with? - Sometimes when two players have the same mission, and both participating in that mission, one player gets credit for it and another does not. Thus resulting in needing to repeat the mission so both players get credit for completing it. Other times both players do get credit for it. What causes this? - When do multiple players get to participate in the same NPC dialogue scenes? When are they only for one player, with the rest of the team being in Spectator Mode? - Does having a player on your team that has out leveled missions that you are doing impact the XP that other members of the team get? These are just a few of the questions that have about how teaming actually works in SWTOR. If anyone could provide some information, or point me to a resource on the subject, I would really appreciate it. Thanks
