  1. I am interested in joining. When I did the /who Sanguine, I thought I came up with a player in the Guild. Unfortunately, I did not and joined the Guild. While they seem pretty chill, it was not the Guild I was looking for. Luckily, I have 7 more characters to play with. So, I am hoping for them to join on the IMP and REPUB side if you would have me. I only play the class stories, at least that is where my interest is. I did do a flashpoint or an operation for the HK part, however, other than that, I have not done one, and have no interest in joining in on that. I may attempt the rest of the content after the story missions, however, I have not had a character progress that far. I am interested in joining as the Guild seems to be very active, and I would like to participate. If allowed. Feel free to message me in game, the character I am on is Cryleon, or on here. Hope your Star Wars Day was great. JSR
  2. Alright. I submitted a ingame ticket, and the ticket told me to come here. So far, the alts I have, have not unlocked it. I brought it up in the general chat ingame, and it was suggested to abandon the stronghold (you can click it so it no long appears on your list). Once that is done, abandon the quest on every character that has it. Then log in with a character that has not accepted it yet (ie level is too low to get it), and play with them until you acquire the quest. It was the work around that others have used. I really appreciate your help. That is really amazing of you, and it is really appreciated.
  3. I have traveled to it with the owner, and even decorated it (using everything I have unlocked; I got it up to 10% completed). I picked it up with another character, traveled there (and to the one on Tattoine) decorated it with that one, and still nothing. Haven't changed the owner. Maybe that will cause it to complete? All 8 characters I have picked up the quest and traveled to it. Not all did decorating, though.
  4. As a subscriber, I have Nar Shadaa unlocked for free. I unlocked it at the terminal. It however, did not count towards the quest "Introduction to Galactic Strongholds" (I think I got that right; end reward is Legacy storage). It still wants me to purchase a stronghold (even though, I accidentally bought the one on Tattoine). I do not want that one, but I am stuck with it (unless you can refund it?). I really do not want to purchase another stronghold, I just want to complete the quest. Any help would be nice (abandoning the quest does not reset Nar Shadaa, so it can get picked up again). If anything more is needed, I will do the best I can to provide more information. The palace does look pretty amazing.
  5. Same. But I am not holding my hopes up. It's like hoping that eventually people will connect "why would you expect more than what you already got" with "what EA / BioWare said about the CE vendor prior to launch". Those two things go together, yet, they are treated as something simple. It cracks me (those posts: the question and the answer, followed by someone's response to that answer). But I have learned to find humor in a lot of this. It is what it is.
  6. That crystal is exclusive to anyone who preordered Star Wars: The Old Republic. Just like its Black / Green counterpart is exclusive to anyone who bought a product off of Razer's store, that has something to do with Star Wars: The Old Republic. I would have thought the two colors we would get would be Black / Yellow & Black / Green, but the colors we have, do work. The CM rep gear (called Voss something, I think), already is dark orange and gray. Adding the dark orange and dark red makes it really pop in my opinion.. The green and yellow gear is perfect (in my opinion), for bounty hunters. It is a class specific dye. Right around the time I hit the 30's / 40's in levels the look of my gear started to change, and take a more traditional look of a bounty hunter (mirroring what Mandalorian Bounty Hunter NPCs used; like on Tattoine). The healer version is green and yellow (DPS is brown and blue; can't remember the tank colors). It goes perfect with that customizable gear. It also works on some trooper gear (takes awhile to make it work though).
  7. It was never meant to be sold to anyone. The fact that it was, is neither here or there. Not every single CE owner acts or comes off as an entitled spoiled brat. To paint us with such broad strokes, is rude and I don't fit that stereotype at all. I have stated, and will continue to state, that what I was advertised didn't match what I got. Furthermore, almost the exact same post was used to describe the Cartel Market. Do I have the right to act like an entitled spoiled brat? Nope. And I never have. I will however, continue to point it out, even if you or anyone else doesn't like me doing so. Far as the Imperial Trooper armor, I am perfectly fine with it being put on the Cartel Market. Assuming of course, something equally as desirable is put on there for us. Fair is fair. Otherwise, those don't own the CE will be the entitled ones. Which would be ironic based upon what you said. The rest of what you said does not exactly apply to the discussion, so, I won't derail the thread by addressing it.
  8. I am not surprised that there was a mistake in the dyes not being bind able. I do not see the development team doing that on purpose. I also see zero chance of there being a dye added that will look remotely cool, and make non CE owner's jealous. They out number us by at least 20:1, and there's no way we spend more (either through the CM & subs) than they do, and I don't see them doing anything to cause outrage from them. I would however, be pleasantly surprised if we got something cool. I do however, like using the CM rep gear (Voss style; or something along those lines) with CE dyes. Looks cool. Please do keep in mind, I am partially color blind, so, that may play a large part. And for the record, while Andryah and I hardly ever agree, it is incredibly unwise to call her / him out and dare her / him to do something to defend the developers. That's literally putting your hand into the lion's cage, stealing its food, and smacking it upside the head because its half asleep. Saying I don't recommend that, isn't even close. That, and I don't believe it to be respectful, but that's just me.
  9. There's a difference between complaining and constructive criticism. One is generally handled in a immature fashion, in which the one receiving it, is made to feel the size of a Lego person. The other, if handled correctly, expresses ones opinion without insulting the other. It enables both parties to feel heard and validated, at the same enabling a positive discourse. The ability to disagree without the leaving the conversation feeling the size of a Lego person, is one of the few skills very few possess.
  10. In honor of Dronund Kaas' General Chat, I am all in on this.. If there's bacon involved.
  11. DC Universe Online does. In fact, you compare the restriction to this (SWTOR), to that (DCUO), the restrictions are comparable. There are variances between the two, but very comparable. The biggest flaw, in my opinion, is the cost of things on the Cartel Market. I won't stop spending my money on things on there, much to the shagrin of those hate the CM. For me, it's about improvement. Doing it better. If my tendency for perfection is clouding my judgement, perception, and thinking, and I am way off, my apologies.
  12. I personally wouldn't tell someone to be quiet or leave for expressing their opinion. I apologize if pointing that out offended you.
  13. I thought of printing credits so to speak that way. However, the broken economy in DC Universe Online is why I haven't.
  14. The system is great, from your point of view, as one who has that much credits. I do not have, nor will I ever have amount across my account. Ever. I do, however, have quite a bit exposable income outside of the game, and have no problems pointing out the system is not great from my point of view.
  15. Nope. It probably never will be either (based upon what the developers have said). The most anything has ever cost on their store is $9.99.
  16. Why is it you have to get rude and snarky? I have not said anything other than express my opinion, and had no problem admitting I was wrong. This was pointed out when I said it was server, not account. I do not treat others that way, and ask for you to stop. Yes, it's fluff. I have bought the all the fluff on Blizzard's store for WoW. I have bought all the fluff stuff on the cash shop for DC Universe Online. Star Wars: The Old Republic is one of 3 MMO's I currently have a subscription too. I do not see the harm in pointing out, as a consumer and customer, where a competitor does it, and does it better. It does not matter if it is a new house I recently bought, a new sports car, television, I can keep going. Yep, "it is just fluff". It is about getting the best deal for what I spend my money on. Nothing more, nothing less. In regards to the stiffing Star Wars: The Old Republic of its customers, that is conjecture. At least from my point of view. I do not believe Star Wars: The Old Republic is neither doing as bad as the forums would have me believe, nor as good as the forums would have me to believe. The truth, in my opinion, lays some where in the middle.
  17. I stand corrected. Collections are account wide, after you pay to unlock that ability, with the price varying per item. At that point, we will be able to compare it. While it'll most likely be cheaper than Blizzard's store for WoW (can't honestly see being charged $7-$12 for this ability), it is still quite a bit more than DCUO's cash shop. Add on the charge for race changes, color changes, etc, etc, DC Universe Online does it better (and has since launch / addition of cash shop). Which gets back to what I have said for awhile, the competition does it, and does it better. Edit: and this is comparing to another F2P MMO
  18. And you're ignoring the fact that extra $7-$12 grants it on all my characters. The best 2.1 is going to do is grant access to all characters on one server. I'd rather pay $25 and have account wide, versus $13-$18 (plus whatever extra to get it server wide). Once again, the competition does it, and does it better in my opinion.
  19. Since this is a F2P MMO, and as a result the majority of EA / BioWare's income for Star Wars: The Old Republic is through the Cartel Market, this is why I have to spend more money on their cash shop versus Blizzard's for World of Warcraft, to have purchases account wide? Is that what you're saying? Assuming I am tracking (military for following), I get lost at the part where another F2P MMO, SOE's DC Universe Online, charges comparable to Blizzard's store for World of Warcraft, and everything bought there (minus consumables), are account wide, no matter what server my characters are on.
  20. I will be real frank and say I do not mind paying for fluff stuff. In fact, I have spent a lot of money on the Cartel Market. Just like there's not a mini-pet or mount I do not own off of the Blizzard store (for World of Warcraft). There's nothing on the cash shop for DC Universe Online I do not own as well (as I subscribe to: DCUO, SWTOR, & WoW). The issue I have with 2.1, assuming it launches the way they say it will, is what they are charging (sub or not sub is the question). I can change how my characters look like any where any time in DCUO, for no fee other than learning the style and the cost to buy said style. In WoW, it's a barber shop, for gold. If you want a more robust change (gender/race), it costs money (RL) though. In DCUO, they charge for the gender. The styles you do spend RL money on, are given for free, to every single character on you account, regardless of server, for free. I can keep going, but it is about SWTOR's competitors doing it, and doing it better (basing this off what has been revealed). I see nothing wrong with pointing this out and asking for clarification. My feelings and opinions won't change without it, but if you played those MMOs (or like me still do currently), why would you support this one, if it is done better else where? For whatever reason, this gets lost and I am not sure why.
  21. Smuggler: I am Han Solo Trooper: Bad Company Bounty Hunter: Shoot to Thrill Sith Warrior: Back in Black Sith Inquisitor: Thunderstruck (Haven't done / started: Jedi Knight, Jedi Consular, Imperial Agent) Edit: I am hopeful I can use Metallica's One, but I doubt it
  22. But you missed the part where I precisely compared the Cartel Market to the Blizzard Store. Regardless of whether or not I can log into the game (which, by the way I can---I currently have a subscription to DCUO, SWTOR, and WoW), if I buy something from the Blizzard store, I have it on every single character on my account, regardless of which server I am on. It is a fair question to ask if your competition does it this way, why are you not? Why are you doing something worse than your competitors? EA / BioWare treats this as a business, I, as a gamer, do too.
  23. I merely pointed it that if you buy something there, there's not an additional fee to get it on more than one character. Though, the point can be made that those things are generally more expensive than the CM (minus the pod racer mount; that's close to the price on their store).
  24. Is it wrong that I read that with Robert Downey, Jr.'s voice from Tropic Thunder... /face_palm
