  1. Dont pvp or raid in Tor, so couldent say, but something as simple as GTN on the fleet, or avrg pve gaming is silk~
  2. I72600k, 8gb ram, gtx580 1.5gb vid, win7 55 - 60 fps in any situation, will fraps it and post later tonight/tommorow (bare in mind fraps kills framerate to a point)
  3. I know where your comnig from - played a Tank back in EQ(1), and then throughout WoW; you dont just have to be a tank in game, but RL too - its psychological the amount of bs you have to put up with at times- takes a thick skin.
  4. I won't lie - it WOULD be cool to have unique animation stances for every saber form; but it means more animation developments - I don't think it would eb a huge hurdle, as they can still tie in all skill animations into the stance animation without much issue, but still, its more work for their anim team (if they still have a anim team after launch)
  5. Is the OP serious? compared to other mmos, this one is VERY forgiving with the trinity requirement - there are multiple classes that can spec as healer/dps/tank. Some more effective then others, but almost anyone can fill at least two roles (with a respec). what you want is...you know what? screw it, im not wasting my tiem, op is a tool, and I cant waste time berating him.
  6. Ouch, makes me glad i'm playing the mmo as a single-player experience (chatbox disabled, no tells/trades/etc - cant read peoples spoilers if I cant see people talking heh. still, it should be reportable imo, but doubt they could really police such a thing - probably comes with the same disclaimer as chat content etc"nature of chat may be unsuitable yadda yadda, use at your own discretion"
  7. The tears, they feed me!!! But seriously, why cry about pvp zone issues if you roll a character on a pvp server? seriously you knew what you were getting into when you made that character. if people want to quest in peace etc, roll on a pve and be done with it. that way you still have access to warzones, but can safely quest in peace~ otherwise, you msut WANT to have access to open-world pvp, you jsut dont like it when its YOU getting ganked.
  8. and you say that like its unexpected - or a bad thing? If there wasent that profit to entice investors, there wouldent be investors to financially back ToR's inital devolopment (let alone continued). A seasy as it is to hate "the machine at the top" its the machine at the top that makes alot of game developrs dreams come true - unless fans show ALOT of empathy and donations (which, in the past has shown a fan base cannot always support a game company alone)
  9. play a jedi, their clothing selection is as modest as a nun.
  10. What you want is ToR: The sequel (or xpac, either way) - but added for free for the existing player base, basically. As the amount of content your asking for would take a large amount of development time, and money - and it would take more then subs to fund that. As it is, people are already whining about paying for the next content release of ROTHC, which is "not" a cartel market cash grab, but actual game content - which, in theory - you want.
  11. Good as far as im concerned - if its brings in money, they will continue to be active and motivated to fund further content. Be it ToR or another game franchise - it costs money to make money, so if they make money, it means more future titles/releases. What people forget is that EA/any entertainment backer are not chariies, they take money for profit, and they take money to funnel into new projects.
  12. Plays as if it were Kotor 3 ( as far as im concerned, it is), character stories with reasonable depth (esp. for a mmo), the illusion of choice. minigames, it might be a shooter on rails, but still - dont know of another mmo with such a visual and fun minigame. legacy system, binding my characters together via roleplay and various perks. you dont jsut travel to another section of land, you are traveling to other WORLDS. sure i can think of more, leav it at that for now. EDIT: another thought - somethign overlooked easily today becuase we are used to it - or its done so well we dont think about it; the attention to details with geography and city scapes - the cities and landmasses are massive and well-built, and had to have taken painstaking effort to finish.
  13. Seeing more skin doesn't nessacarily mean sexier or more attractive, provocative outfits can still conceal a great deal if designed correctly. And personally, i'm all for "sexy" outfits; I dont care if male OR female tbh. Why is it considered wrong to have sexual innuendo in any media, esp. games - but stabbing and killing countless people is a-ok? soudns like a messed up society standard to me.
  14. no other mmo that i can think of gave new item/gear updates outside(free) of xpacs, or major content releases, why would they now?
  15. shame, thanks though!
  16. was no maintence today really a good idea? The irony ...mmm...its palpable....
  17. Are they in-game? or did they avoid putting them in to reduce exploits/bots? i've been playing ToR for about a month, but only as a single-player game mentality - i dont even have my chat window open heh. What I was hopnig was to make a macro with /say text in it, something like "thanks for the buff" or "I dont play with the chat box open, my apologies if I seem rude by ignoring you". and finally "hey guys, dont have chat box up, but as dps ill be sure to burn down non-elites first, not break CC, and keep adds off healer if need be." way back in teh day, Everquest let you make macros for things liek that (thoguh mroe used for raid instructions heh) main issue is, I use a 42 inch tv as my screen, and I dont ahve the world's best eyesight, so reading chat would be a huge pain in teh *** even if i tried (at elast during combat or tiems when we are moving around)
  18. what "I" like isn't what i am bringing to the table for consideration, but what a sith's personality would prefer. EDIT: bear in mind, I cant look at the links cuase im at work, and gotta play it safe with sites but im basing it on outfits i know and recall from ToR, as well as depictions on the web through lore sites etc.
  19. besides ************, how about explaining his point better? All I see is "bio sells cool gear?!". HOW is it better? the look? the stats? if its stats, like people have said, go get a moddable piece and go nuts. If its the vanity of it (the look) then tough **** - it's a "extra" feature that your not entitled to with you subscription alone, expansions, and paid content will provide new gear as always - why would you get it in game for free outside of those conditions? (beyond obviously working for it via quests etc)
  20. Just for the sake of argument, would a vain, passionate, and powerful sith want some drab, demure robes - or something draws attention to themselves (the average evil sith, not those rare honorables)? I gave it some thought - and (beyond my personal perverted tasted with female sith war outfits) it makes alot more sense for Jedi to dress down and appear humble - clothing is directly a attribute of personality. Now, we can argue lore about what they should be wearing and what we WANT them to be wearing, but I think faction mentality is being overlooked in these discussions.
  21. Taun-tauns (except for the one that acts like a sleeping bag for skywalker), fast, sturdy - nuff said. Rancor, SMASH. wut? oh Sentient races lol ah well
  22. "3) No force-using Jawas." Hate to shatter the safe lore-cacoon you live in, but at the very least, imps. get a quest that clearly indicates Jawa can and DO use the force.
  23. Funny, it take me maybe 30 seconds at most to load pretty much any major zone, but the kind of harddrive alone isnt the only factor - processor and ram play pretty big factors when it comes to resource funneling - heck, even the method of internet - wired? wireless? what rate can you cap for transfers?
