I have come here today in the lands of QQ to humbly request the removal of the expertise stat or rather the expertise stat outside of warzones. Expertise highly infuriates me when I attempt to RP. My character can easily be killed by another player without any risk of my opponent losing. Why? Because that player played more WZ than I did. No matter how superior my spec is, no matter how much more experienced than him I am, and no matter how much better I am than him in general, he WILL win. He will win because he has a ridiculous stat that gives him 9001% damage reduction. Granted, it is possible for someone fully expertise geared to lose to someone who is not expertise geared, but he would have to be a terrible player for such an occurrence. Join a RP server to RP with other players? Too bad. You have to PVP to have a chance at surviving against those who did. In this manner, PVPers will be the overlords of their PVE and especially RP slaves. Now, I understand that people should not have everything handed to them and there have to be no progression whatsoever in the game, but this PVE/PVP divide is nerf *****. Why can someone not just advance to the best gear? Why is it that if you take one of the game's two paths you will be eternally penalized? If I get PVP gear I am worthless in PVE environments and if I get PVE gear I am worthless in PVP environments. This is a pointless time sink for me to have to spend DAYS grinding my face against WZ and my team paying the price. Expertise is only a symptom of the larger problem that is the play style wall. Please resurrect Presidents Reagan and Gorbachev so that they may tear down this wall. I am going to be eternally flamed, but this reminds me of Americans being divided in a similar manner. Instead of us all simply being Americans we are now African Americans, European Americans, Asian Americans. MMOers are now divided between RPers, PVPers, and PVEers. This causes only friction, tension, and hate amongst the community which is directed at each other. Thank you for your time, and to hell with expertise.
