  1. Squeezing the most dps out of arsenal is all about using your instant abilities (Heatseekers, Electro Net, Priming Shot, 5-stack Rail Shot) on cooldown while not delaying your Barrage proc. You get 6 gcd's in b/w Barrage procs, so give yourself 3 gcd's after Barrage procs to use up your instants (3 +2 for Blazing Bolts +1 to cast Tracer Missile) - as long as you use Blazing Bolts before your next Barrage proc you don't lose out on any Blazing Bolts damage.
  2. I usually Leap - Focused Burst - Force Exhaustion (CC Immunity) - Blade Dance (Clip) - Concentrated Slice That order results in the last tick of Foce Exhaustion (the tick that hurts), Blade Dance, and the Concentrated Slice all hitting very close together, and under CC Immunity. They cant touch you, and you dish out 3 big hits very close together.
  3. If you don't really care about dps numbers Arsenal Merc/Gunnery Commando would probably be my suggestion. It's literally spam tracer missile and hit your other abilities on CD, use vent heat when around 70+ heat. If you want the easiest class that puts out competitive dps I'd suggest AP Powertech/Tactics Vanguard. You need to stare at the logic system (about 1/3 of the way down) and practice for a few minutes to get the hang of it - once you do though it's quite an easy spec to play, and does some insane burst with pretty good sustained damage too.
  4. Hi all. NEON GRIND is looking for a tank and a healer or dps for SM through HM progression. We'll start with SM 3.0 content (Temple of Sacrifice/The Ravagers) and gear up for HM, at which point we'll start HM progression. All we ask is that you have TeamSpeak 3 ready to go, and would be willing to get StarParse as well. Send me a private message on the forums or message (mail) Rîkkâ or Arayae in-game if you're interested. Thanks for your time! -Avo
  5. I'd recommend using frag grenade over snipe whenever you can. It'll keep up your electrified railgun stacks, and actually does more damage than snipe because it applies a stack of electrified railgun. In addition frag grenade is an instant cast over snipe's 1.5s channel. On a different note, snipe costs 15 energy in both MM and engineering if you're playing your class correctly. (As followthrough lowers the energy cost of your next 2 snipes by 5). Virulence works well, and I'd suggest trying to Line of Sight (LoS) your opponents whenever you're applying your DoT's/Weakening Blast. Going up against any class that needs to channel (MM sniper perhaps?) they wont be able to put any real damage on you while you're dotting them up, and then when it's time to cull you'll put out WAY more dps then they will. Apart from that remember to familiarize your defensives, and know what they work against! Happy hunting!
  6. For PvE, play your class missions through Ziost. The 190 gear that drops there is statistically better than the 186 comm gear. I'd be willing to bet it's better than the 192 stuff as well, as all the comm gear has ludicrously high endurance and all the other stats suffer from it. Basically get your Ziost gear, then go do 60HM FP's and SM Ops. They drop min/max'ed 192 gear, and from there move on to HM Ops! (Don't forget to augment! It's free stats!) PvP? Fill a set out with the 148 gear from the lvl 53 PvE vendor (unless you've saved the 162 gear from the Forged Alliances Story Arc - that's the most bolster-friendly gear in the game) and then replace pieces with the 168 exhumed stuff as you go. When you've got a full set augment out and pray to god you get good ranked teams. PvE gear is statistically better than PvP gear to (I assume?) compensate for the expertise in open-world PvE. If that's the case the stat differential isn't nearly enough, as anyone with just a basic exhumed set can easily kill someone in full 198 out in open-world PvE. My other guess is that it would be to prevent people from using PvP gear in PvE (as you could do in the lvl 55 stuff pre 3.0).
  7. Working on the rotation, this one seems to do the most dps for me: Obliterate/Beserk Raging Burst Force Crush Ravage Furious Strike Battering Assault Obliterate Raging Burst Force Scream Vicious Slash Furious Strike Dual Saber Throw This rotation seems to use obliterate/raging burst on cooldown while fitting all your hard hitters (force crush, ravage, furious strike, and battle-cry force scream) into the cascading power window. Any improvement that y'all can come up with would be neat. Thanks for reading!
