Which class has the Easiest DPS rotation?

I am new to the game. Can someone help me understand what type of dps is PowerTech dps? Melee? Ranged? What's the play style like (I came from WOW). Which spec is recommended to do the most dps now?

I have a few questions. I am thinking about trying SWTOR again. 1.Do I have to do my class quests? I am a new player looking to jump in and play with friends that have already max leveled. If I just grind KDY and skip my class quest, will I be giving up anything I need? if so what? Seems like an extra Burdon to be able to play with your friends. 2.Is it realistic to expect to play a tank and a dps role with the same toon at different times? Games like world of Warcraft have dual spec that tanks when not needed can take a dps role with an alternative suit of armor and quick field respec. Does that exist in this game? or if I make a tank should I expect to only be a tank? 3.Which classes are highest on the DPS meters at the moment? How are Snipers, Sith Sorc, Power tech and sith juggernaut performing on the dps meters? 4.Can someone recommend a dps parser? I used to use ACT but I see its not been updated for awhile. 5.Quickest way to level to max level?

A slow leveling experience that makes new players who not want to jump back in and not be able to play with friends is not healthy for the game. 12x XP for class missions would be an overall healthy way to lure new players back in.
