  1. Thank you both for your replies and the information. And thank you for the website - it looks very helpful.
  2. Hey ladies and gents. So, I am a bit rubbish when it comes to figuring out the correct gear for my characters and I was hoping to get some advice. The specific gear I am looking for is the gear on the Fleet that you need Tech Fragments for. It has already been suggested to me that the recommended set for Jedi Knight (all specs) is Descent of the Fearless. I have characters from each class and only play DPS. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
  3. Forcing it to re-download a file did not help. The download completed and I am still unable to log in. It would appear that my launcher does not acknowledge that there is a patch available and I have no idea if there is a way to force it to check.
  4. I have been trying to get this to work since the servers came back online last night but nothing I try seems to work. The launcher loads, tells me the latest update patch notes are 5.9, downloads nothing and then says I can play. I click play, get to the character select screen and it tells me my version of the game does not match the version of the server and kicks me out. My launcher is already set to the version that does not use BitRaider, I give admin permission to run, I've let it through the Firewall, tried the launcher utility app which fixed nothing and tried updating on my laptop and copying the files over (but apparently the version on my laptop won't download 5.9 either). I am really annoyed because a few months ago, it wouldn't stop randomly re-downloading files so I uninstalled and reinstalled the entire game (which took a few days). I really don't want to do that again so please, does anyone have any advice? My current plan of attack is I have deleted the English Assets file to force it to download something and hope it downloads 5.9 too.
  5. And here is an update. The 11GB download has finished only for it to want to download 22GB now. If I didn't know better, I would say this game is redownloading everything which I do not understand. Nothing has changed since last night and this morning. Please can someone help?
  6. Last night after the servers came online (Update 5.7), everything downloaded fine and I played no problem, even after my PC crashed. Everything downloaded and installed with no errors, game worked smoothly. I try to play this morning. First time I start the launcher, it tells me it cannot identify the patch and check my network settings. Since my internet works fine, I restarted the launcher and now its downloading 11GB (which, with my internet will take forever). Did I miss something last night? Do I have to download the 11GB or is there a quick workaround?
  7. Hey all Firstly, I do apologise if this is in the wrong section. Also, I play on the Darth Malgus server. Secondly, I am having a difficult time getting groups together to finish star fortresses. I have tried soloing them but it takes a long time and I really struggle with it. I am also one of those people who loves to create alts. At the moment, I have 2 Republic characters and 3 Empire characters that need to complete all 6 star fortresses (with more on the way). I know that star fortresses aren't crucial to the story but I like completing as much content as I can, especially since I have no idea how they could impact the story in the future. I would like to get some help to get these finished (pretty please) so here is a bit about my play time: - my time zone is GMT+2 so I would prefer not to do anything too late. - I am on at random times during the day, depending on whether my internet is actually cooperating as well as the weather. - I am familiar with the tactics for the star fortresses and the characters that are ready now have 12+ level influence with the Alliance people for the chest things (I have no idea what they are called but they give the buffs) - I am willing to run all 6 in one sitting or do as many as suits you and will wait until you have more free time - I do have Discord if that makes it easier to communicate (and text app on my phone). - If you only need 1 or 2 done, that works for me as well. It was previously pointed out to me that it is quite hard to meet up with people from the forums on the game. If you are interested, feel free to whisper/mail/add to friends list any of these characters as I log on at least once a day: Republic: Kallyra, Narika, Karyssa, Savinna, Nathalea, Salyna Empire: Danicka, Jalyssa, Nadeena, Janesa, Cassidia, Ziiya Thanks for reading and have a fantastic day
  8. Hey I am sooooooo sorry for disappearing like that. We moved and I really didn't anticipate how long it would take for us to get our internet sorted. Really sorry. I am still interested in getting these star fortresses done, if you are. As I mentioned before, I do have Discord (and the text app on my phone). Generally, if the Dark Side is victorious, I am on Empire Side playing Danicka. If Light Side is victorious, I'm usually on Republic Side playing Kallyra or Narika. Especially with this double xp event, I'm trying to level up my Command Ranks. Other than that, I'm not entirely sure how else to plan this. Giving each other every single alt seems difficult but I can say that I am on daily, usually afternoon/evening.
  9. Hey all Firstly, I do apologise if this is in the wrong section. I have no idea if it should be here (since I play on Darth Malgus) or in the Flashpoints and Heroics section. 10. Greetings all! Before I start, I want to state that I am aware that there is something in the FAQ section that tells me to add ports or something for the game. Since I am not familiar with this, I just want to make sure there isn't an easier fix or explanation. As the title says, I am constantly losing my connection to the server and get kicked to the server selection screen but it either can't find the servers or it tells me I have -1 Characters on every server so I have to exit the game and go back in. Internet is still connected as I can still go to Facebook and Hotmail. As far as I can tell, there is no consistency but I do know I can't play without getting kicked off at least twice a day. It doesn't matter how long I've been playing, what character I'm playing or what planet I'm on. Sometimes it happens within minutes of me logging into the game or four hours later. I have a LinkSys router but previously had a Belkin router that kept disconnecting from the internet so we replaced it. I'm using a 4 mbps line. It's probably been happening for about three weeks (best guess). Any advice would be greatly appreciated
  11. Hey. Welcome back to the game! I'm posting this reply with the assumption that you have access to all the expansions. I'll also warn you that it has been a while and I can't remember all the changes that have been made since so I may make tiny mistakes. After Ilum, it is the Rise of the Hutt Cartel expansion that takes place on Makeb (this is a level 50 - 55 zone though with the recent changes to xp and double xp, this is likely irrelevant). Following this would be the prelude to Shadow of Revan. I believe you can start it on your starship, if not there is a droid on the fleet. This involves a couple of flashpoints (4, if I remember correctly) with conversations on the fleet and then a certain water covered planet from KotoR 1 (trying not to spoil this for you). After these flashpoints, it will be the Shadow of Revan expansion proper with 2 new planets. This is level 55 - 60. It also unlocks a couple of dailies on each planet but you can still do these after Knights of the Fallen Empire so don't stress. And finally, it is time for Knights of the Fallen Empire which you pick up from your ship but only begin once you select 'play' in your quest tracker. Daily regions such as CZ-198 and Oricon can still be done after beginning Knights of the Fallen Empire without a problem however all previous expansions need to be done before starting KotFE. Besides avoiding spoilers, they will no longer be available after starting because of the way the story is structured. I hope this helps you and that you enjoy your time back
  12. Legacy Storage is a decoration which can be obtained through the Cartel Market or traded on Fleet for Universal Prefabs, if I remember correctly. I think you might also get it as a reward for completing the Strongholds introduction mission. Once you've gotten the decoration, right click to add it to your collection and go to your Stronghold to place it. All of your characters on your Legacy will have access to it and can place any items inside, aside from Bound items. Place the armour in Legacy Storage like you would normal Cargo Hold, log into the character you want the armour for and it will be there. Legacy Storage is also different in terms of colour. Normal Cargo Hold is green, Guild Storage is purple and Legacy Storage is gold. Hope this helps!

  14. Eternal Dawn now has a new website and we're excited to show it off! Interested in joining or curious about our community? Then head on over to http://dawn-eternal.net/
  15. I also tried Dromund Kaas for a while before switching characters and going to Coruscant where I got all my decorations. Maybe the Imps just aren't in the holiday spirit
  16. You can also keep hitting the same overheated gift droid until it disappears rather than hitting it once and running around looking for another one. I got my decorations this way.
  17. There is a mission terminal on board your ship to begin the Makeb storyline.
  18. The Infantry Supply kits are essentially the exact same thing. Aside from the price to learn how to craft, the materials needed to craft them are also different. These were introduced with the Strongholds expansion and are used to gain Conquest points. If you have no interest in conquest or are not a part of a guild who participates with conquest, then you don't really need to buy them.
  19. Sorry about the confusion. I forgot there was another droid. I see others have already posted so I wish you good luck.
  20. This is based on memory and the assumption that I am thinking of the correct droid - the final boss where the hutt is piloting the droid after kidnapping the strike team? Assuming I am correct, this is the way I beat the droid: Focus on killing the refueling droid (they are weak and should be taken down in 1 - 2 moves) and one should drop a gold item (can't remember what it is called). After killing a few refueling droids, one of the blast shields behind the boss droid should disappear. You run in and something along the wall should be clickable. The boss droid will refuel, focus on killing the refueling droids and repeat the step above. After that, the boss droid should be reasonably easy to take down. Good luck and hope this helps.
  21. As far as I can tell, your character needs to be level 55 to start the Forged Alliances storyline.
  22. This is based on personal experience so I do apologise if any info is wrong. As far as I can tell, you can only solo the flashpoints once per character. If you have already done the flashpoints leading up to the Shadow of Revan (i.e. Tython, Korriban, Depths of Manaan and Legacy of Rakata), you can't solo them however if you havent completed them, you can solo them once. The flashpoints on Rishi - Blood Hunt and the Battle of Rishi - are also only soloable for the first time. After that, you need a full group. To my knowledge, no other flashpoint has a solo mode.
  23. If you are level 50 and complete Makeb but still haven't reached level 55, Ilum is also an option or doing daily areas such as the Black Hole and Section X. Once you've gotten to level 55, you can do the Shadow of Revan content however 4 flashpoints are needed before you can go the first planet. They're quite easy to do solo but that is a personal preference There are also level 55 daily areas: CZ-198 and Oricon if you want some credits or experience. Hope this helps
  24. We are still recruiting! We are looking for some more players to participate in Ops (still run on Tuesdays and Sundays). Even first-timers are welcome as we will walk you through it and let you know the tactics as we go. All players, levels and classes are welcome. Whether you are a first timer or a veteran player, you are more than welcome to join us.
  25. I've tried to log in 4 times and I get stuck on the first loading screen as well. I played yesterday for an hour and a half without a problem and now I can't get in at all. Really frustrating.
