Welcome back. Yes the new discipline system is three choices and you choose utility mostly either pvp/pve options. I like the new system it's easy to do field respecs for dmg/heals or tank/dmg . Rishi and yavin are planets with quest line story and then dailies. They just added more HM fp for 60 to do.

12x xp sounds like it just ruined a bunch of people's thinking on lvling. Cannot even enjoy a X2 xp on everything .....I will enjoy it.

You can always just focus on lvling first than as you can do the dailies for big money at max lvl work on the Companion rep and crew skills.

Commendation vendor at the fleet has gear for you, mods to they are by planet/level in the supply section of the fleet I believe. You can use free adaptive gear by using a referral or buy some off the gtn.

It's amazballs if you play a commando. It's just "eh" if you play with glow sticks.
