  1. Sadly that's not how it works. People just end up selling their things more expensive since everyone have more money. BioWare keep adding new items to the Cartel Market, which are getting sold for (even now) insane prices. It's all fine if you've been playing a while yourself, you have the credits. Since you have more credits, and things are sold more expensive, the economy technically hasn't changed for those players. The only easy way to start combat credits sellers would be to add a maximum price they could sell an item for in the GTN. Then people wouldn't need to buy credits since they'd have enough for what they want. Step two to sort out economy is to add, as the OP says, more credit sinks. They should not only be things that punish you, but things that you WANT to spend credits on because it gives you fun.
  2. Strongholds would be so much better if more items was available to buy with just credits. It would also, probably, get more people interested in starting with it. (And also an easier way to buy said items when you're in the SH itself)
  3. The issue is rather worse for those that don't even have extra companions to unlock, those that come new to the game. As I see it, it is better to be able to craft the items you need, but not be able to wear them yet due to level being too low, than it is to not be able to craft an item you need. The first scenario is better because you still can not wear any of those items, you are still bound by your level restrictions. But you can happily carry on playing knowing that you can craft as you go and still keep up. You would still have to craft just as much, pay just as much for resources, do just as much work... You'd just get more done. They can't give you more experience as a subscriber and then not keep everything else up with it. If you get more experience, you need either more crafting experience or being able to perform them faster to stay on the same page.
  4. It's all about the cartel coins, there are enough cartel coin sinks, but not so much for credits.
  5. I would give you mine if I could, horrible little thing!
  6. He means a level 60 token, that gives you a character slot and the ability to create a level 60 character from the start, and that character will start at the new expansion.
  7. To help with decorating perhaps you should consider letting us buy the items we can buy directly from the decorations browser instead of having to google what you have to buy where and then go buy it. Nothing sucks more than being in your SH decorating to find you're missing an item you want, have to leave it all, tab out of game to find where to get it. It would probably add more interest in decorating too if it was made more readily available. ( as a side-note I think more items should be easier to get, and just keep the very exclusive things from the GTN)
  8. He's right though, BioWare should look into issues like this. They should do all they can, really, because their income depend on people wanting to play the game. It's nothing but business.
  9. I really don't care if it's hard or easy, as you say, the current system is lazy and they really should improve it. Of course, the best thing overall would be to make every seat clickable and they take a seat properly on them. Some seats are seats you CAN sit on, they should go all the way with it. Sadly, they should have done this from the start
  10. I should perhaps tell you that I'm not new to this game, the tutorial is not needed. What I suggest you do is to start a new character, take a Jedi Knight as an example as this was the character I felt this most from. Turn on Exploration missions, do it all. Don't use any of your stored up resources, don't buy any either. You can buy the Crafting additional and just focus on getting materials, that's what I did. I unlocked HK and Treek to help gather resources as I was questing so unlock two if you have them. Come back to this thread when you're level 40 and see how it felt. Then we're on the same page.
  11. Clearly. You are perhaps also aware that crafting has changed since then too, right? If you are under-leveled not only can you gather the stuff from the planet you're on to use for crafting later, but you also got less experience thanks to not being a subscriber. I'm not sure what you wanted to explain by all that? This is the opposite: You get MORE experience but can't collect the resources at all!
  12. Well I certainly haven't on TWO characters now. On my latest character I was level 22 when I just landed on DK (after doing the flashpoint too), and had to take a few hours to sit and gather/craft just to be able to make mods my level. You can't gather those resources on DK. On my first DvL character I was level 40+ when I caught up. I guess I'm just faster at leveling up than you are then. It is an issue for me, that's for damn sure.
  13. It's quite awkward right now to get the appearance of sitting on something right. You have to stand just as close to the object as you can, and then type it, you will basically end up sitting on the very, very edge of whatever. If we instead was to just stand on the item, and type it, it would but the invisible chair right there instead, and you sink down to the same level as if you was typing in while standing on the floor itself. This way you could do it faster, and also sit more properly on items.
  14. This could be done with a simple dropdown box where you select, if you have one, jetpack and it will show on your character as always on. I don't mean that it is activated the whole time, just that it shows on your back much like the rucksack later in the game (that quest). It always bugs me to see it pop into the world just to vanish again as you get off. (I also hope they fix jetpacks so you don't go total horizontal with just the slightest sideways movement of the mouse).
  15. It would be a nice to get a chat that covers all the Stronghold you're in, only. Much like General chat except for just the Stronghold you're in.
  16. One way to do it is that you can select from pre-designed rooms or maybe even areas of a room. So the cargo hold could get a different design but still retain all parts needed by the game, just moved around ina fashion designed by BioWare. That would allow us to customize, but not with the same freedom as with normal Strongholds.
  17. This is not as important to me as other things, like what about adding some new personal starships you can buy? Maybe smaller guildships? New Strongholds. Tunings turned out so damn expensive to buy on the GTN (Yeah I buy packs, you won't believe how many I actually bought trying to get a tuning) that I just lost all possible interest in it and rather found it annoying you put more focus on making even more. If you are, atleast make them more available!
  18. Yeah but how often do you have someone with THAT high influence when you start out? You just don't. At higher levels you could have it that high, but then missions also takes a LOT longer so it would balance out regardless. If you want to sit with a high level and spam missions for your lower levels by all means, but when you start a new character and is crafting for yourself, it ain't so pretty anymore. You're supposed to be able to craft for yourself as you level up, not craft for alts that you are levelling up.
  19. I don't think it's a great idea to be able to un-bind items, as much as I could use it myself. It would just bring more chaos to the market than they could ever hope to contain. Everyone would have access to more items to sell, it would make things cheaper and people would end up with so much credits on their hands that they don't know what to do with, and pretty much render economy useless for all but newer players. I think that it's best to leave this alone.
  20. How about giving us influence rewards from quests or actual kills for companions that aren't story companions, so that you atleast get something for using those "fancy" companions from cartel packs such as the droids and beasts. They miss out on story/dialogue interaction and the only way they gain Influence now is through gifts. It's a double negative to use those companions, but if you could get Influence for them from kills or from completing quests, they could still feel nice to use.
  21. It would be lovely if we could get a new option for not auto-holstering our weapon after a fight if we have unholstered manually before the fight. So, if you didn't have you gun out, it would pull it out for the fight and then holster it again, but if you had manually unholstered before the fight, it would not automatically holster it again for you after a fight. This gives you more control and helps with roleplay issues too.
  22. I noticed that I level up so fast that I can't keep up with my crafting skills to make anything useful for myself. I caught up at about level 40+ which is really sad, all that time I couldn't craft myself a single useful item. Since we get a boost to experience, maybe we can also get a boost to crafting and mission speed timers too, to add to a better experience.
  23. It seems though as if they're working on the crafting system again so hopefully they WILL add more to it, not only above crafting 500 but also below it. And if that was not the plan, BioWare, atleast think about it.
  24. The KOTOR series is really, really cheap now so why not start there and once you're done with that, have a look at this again?
  25. I've always felt that ever since they started with the Cartel Market that the focus never left it. All new gear, where does it end up? Yes, the Cartel Market. Shouldn't crafting be where a lot of the really nice stuff comes from? I feel as if the game is trying to suck money from me even though I'm already subscribing. Cartel Market should be for very exclusive stuff, not ALL the stuff. Look at how many outfits there are in the Cartel Market vs what you can get outside of it. Whenever I think of Star Wars: The Old Republic one word always comes to the front, greed. The game feels greedy. I've left the game before, several times, and now I'm close to doing it again. Focus in the game feels all wrong. Just release more outfits and schematics for crafting rather than the Cartel Market in the future and you should be able to balance it out eventually. Gameplay first, asking for more money later.
