  1. Because of the following statements, from the man himself; "I want to reveal today that we are adding SGR with some NPCs on Makeb and do intend on pursuing more SGR options in the future." So there's your "SGR" offering, coming in spring. As for world pvp, you know a standard mmo feature (offered by every other mmo on the market, in the past, present and future)... well yeah; "do not look for massive new Open World PvP this year" That's a hell of a statement to make in January, which to be fair I'm thankful for because I now know that they won't be seeing my subscription fee this calender year.
  2. "SGR" takes precedence over world pvp in an mmo....... no wonder this went f2p within a year with management decisions like that.
  3. You've saved me a lot of typing summing up my feelings on the game and why they've now lost me, not only as a subscriber but a player, period. Makeb will be the straw that broke the camels back for a lot of subscribers.
  4. I've got a Chiss Sentinel, was actually created tongue in cheek to wind up my hardcore SW lore obsessed friends
  5. I'm only in it for alt levelling right now and I've got to say the legacy perk system is pretty much useless (bar the speeders), largely due to the fact that levelling alts, levelling their crafting skills and crafting/grinding the best gear to level them in is enough of a credit sink to drain your resources without bothering with shinies and trinkets... there should be an incremental decrease in purchase costs for perks and gear as your legacy level increases
  6. Still here, rapidy running out of alts to level now though so I'm still here more in hope than expectation.
  7. I dunno about you but I didn't even get started in the pvp, e-sports crap doesn't hold any interest for me (and probably a lot of SWG pvp'ers I'd imagine) and the poor map layouts BW employed kept both factions completely seperate on almost all planets so adhoc world pvp was pretty much impossible. I don't know why they bothered having "pvp servers", especially as the last one I levelled to 50 got there without seeing a single player of the opposing faction.... a pretty pathetic state of affairs.
  8. Mos Eisley Syndicate <Mes> formed in SWG on the Flurry server, now Sith on Jung Ma
  9. Unsubbed and I don't have any confidence in BioWare to make it worthwhile re-subbing anytime soon.
  10. 1) Sterile worlds that in no way reflect the ongoing conflict, for example the last character I levelled got to 50 without seeing a single player from the opposing faction and as such there's no world pvp. 2) No world pvp 3) No world pvp 4) No world pvp 5) Switching Ilum off... pretty much showed BioWares intent to continue ignoring any form of WORLD PVP
  11. I see your line of thought, you've got it the wrong way round though. Blizzard are Vivendi, not the other way around. Vivendi dwarfs ActiBliz, dwarfs both of them combined. In the same way Opel/Vauxhall are GM.
  12. Nope, Vivendi was the parent company. As much as we like to think of Bliz as this all conquering beast they've actually been in the pocket of a parent company since the mid 90's. The advantage they've almost always had though is that they've been owned by companies that don't understand the games industry so they've been left to their own devices, mostly. That'll probably change now they're under Activision, in the same way it's possibly changed for BioWare being in the EA fold.
