  1. with the new high level player debuff, the imbalance is minimized and as long as pvp is consensual - why wouldn't you want this access as a permanent game feature. i had so much fun tonight on bergen colony ( rp server) fighting jedi on korriban
  2. Tonight i was finishing my main storyline on korriban as a level 58 debuffed to lvl 12. Two jedi accessed the planet via an in game bug.. THANK YOU!!! THese players deserved in came achievements and recognition - not any sort of disciplinary action. PVP was still consensual The opportunity for personal ownership ( including the RP factor) was HUGE!!!!. Due to the new high level debuff on low level planets - the imbalance was MINIMAL!!! PLEASE SUPPORT THIS FEATURE!!!!!! There should be achievement sand minor raids for the world boss ( raiding the republic senate, entering the sith council chamber taking a holocron or something.. etc etc)
  3. Tonight i was on Korriban killing Jedi who accessed the planet via an in game bug. I am currently on Bergen Colony - an RP rule set server. The pvp was still Consensual, and with the new high level debuffs for a low level planet - the level imbalance was minimal. why wouldn't you keep this feature??????!!!!! This is a galactic war , and even on a rp or pve server this gives massive opportunity for ownership in world pvp. you should be giving in game achievements to guilds and players who attack and defend home worlds or capital planets. ( raiding the senate, defeating the emperors guards.. etc) ( think stormwind and ogrimar raiding) Thank you to the jedi who took the opportunity to attack korriban - please bioware.. more of the same!!!
  4. $15 /month is pretty cheap entertainment for 1 month, considering the time spent in game.
  5. i enjoyed SWG world pvp because it usually had more to do with guild reputation and bragging rights. whether it was holding the startport area in theed or coronet and not allowing any pvp flagged players access, or placing and defending bases/cities as a guild. i guess the best part about it was the rivalries and personal ownership we had. it was the most memorable and satisfying "wars" ive played online. the only thing close to that were the old Soutshore/tarren mill battles or the 16 hour AV's. the irony of wow is that most player from that time actually reminiss about those battles in a positive way. A lot of people like pekish dont get the fun in that. most people have only experienced the wow gear grind and mind numbing ques. Personal rivalry make pvp epic - not just purple reward gear
  6. good ideas. i also think they could impliment a more "sandbox" element to build community and foster world pvp. IN ADDITION TO RVR.. get them to add an Iconic star wars planet, with iconic sanctuary city ACCESSABLE TO BOTH FACTIONS . Theres, players can sell, group for flashpoints and operations, and build a community in. BUT.. MAKE SURE THERE IS AN OPTION TO FLAG YOURSELF ( or your guild ) FOR PVP!!!! this will allow for spontaneous combat in between ques and open doors for bioware to make features like an SWG guildwar option. Im getting tired of only fighting imperials all the time and see no point in the faction segregation. Hey let people join cross faction ops too plz. Having people around actually gives us more opportunity to PVP.
  7. Those three are a must right now. add to the first three these: 4) Iconic star wars planet with iconic sanctuary city for both factions to sell, raid, and build a community in. 5) RVR.... let guilds attack and defend and maybe place bases on various pvp zones on different planets 6) MAKE the PVP server ruleset different than a PVE server... nameley - on a pvp server allow players to travel to all planets from both factions. Make the lower level planets and the stations sanctuaries with the option to FLAG FOR VOLOUNTARY PVP

    Get rid of Huttball

keep huttball. its probably one of the most unique features of swtor compared to other mmo's give us different huttbal arenas
  9. i thought raiding was supposed to keep games like this alive and thats why the big companies ignore most of the pvp'ers? played since beta and people asked for rated bg's access to opposite faction areas for world pvp non instanced worlds so people dont become isolated from eachother rvr as a means for world pvp guild war option ( thogh not possible in the instanced and segregated planets cross faction chat cross faction interaction cross server ques now some of those things do cancel out each other. i want this game to succeed but i dont think bioware really "got" what their customers wanted. people wanted somthing different than what was out there. i think this game can recover but bioware has to step up on the creativitly and identify and encourage that which wil make thew game succeeed. I would like to just say "pvp" but im going to say community is the answer. why? because when people interact and are actually in a play interacting. things .. like pvp happen. it means more people are queing for warzones.. it means when you are tired of queing for warzones you can go to that iconic starwars city ( thats a cross faction social hub) and find opposing players there. incentives can and should be gear,, but you totally missed the guildwar pride thing. your choice to segregate cross faction players and yet have 3 out of 4 warzones as same faciton is puzzling. I think your event was a step in the right direction. i also think giving crafters the nod by making them have the best gear available is also a good step. ( some people just like to make things) But heres a hint about some raiders.. on our seerver one of the top raidingguilds still playing.. log in on their scheduled raid times.. raid.. then log out. so,, theres my rant. it seems to me that pvp .. no pve is killing this game and most people are leaving because of that.
  10. kinda reminded me a bit of old swg tattoine battles.. **cough** did i go there?
  11. I really enjoyed the rakghoul event today on tat. #1) ICONIC Star Wars planet chosen ( frankly i was kinda disappointed that most lvl 50 gameplay avoids tattoine, today you corrected that! ) 2) Bioware. you gave us entertaining an well done ( holonet news cutscenes and global announcements) reason to LEAVE THE STATION woohoo.. 3) Bioware you gave people reasons to hang out in a given. non instanced place on a planet.. and people showed up.. which in turn created.. wait for it... OPEN WORLD PVP!!! that had absoloutly nothing to do with valour rewards or a gear grind! ( although it would have been nice to get somehting for a player kill ) My guild had a full operations group going , helping guildmates through the event and denying the republic acces to the area.. which lasted for hours and we had many great battles. just a small taste i hope for future ideas where guilds can combat and compete for open world planetary objectives . Community,, reasons for players to be out and about in the world.. and PVP! EPIC! There are many lessons to be learned from this bioware Great Job!
  12. good read. i dont agree with everything he said but overall good critique. Bump for more readers
  13. i think you are on to something here. this is what i was tired of in wow and why i left as soon as swtor came.. hoping for something different. this game is still new and heres hoping that biowares gear grinding instanced pvp business model allows them to branch out a bit and bring something new ( or some great old ideas from games like daoc or wow or maybe even ... "gasp" swg ) and make this game stand out in a good way.
  14. in beta you could, for a time travel everywhere. more than a few people ( including myself ) asked for bioware to make pvp servers different than pve servers... that could have been a very cool way to encourage volountary world pvp... we got this... and really.. what is the difference between a pvp and pve server after 50? be unique bioware we need rvr and criss faction iconic social hubs.. instanced queing isnt going to keep your business model alive even vanilla wow there was so much open world stuff .. remember tarren mill/southshore? remember the epic battles at black rock mountain you had to fight to get to the raid? remember the 16 hours server battles in av and dont get me started on swg community, guildwars and base fights.. epic pvp is made from rivaly.. not purple gear. bioware keeps putting roadblocks in everyones face. we want this game to succceed- listen to your subscribers!!!!
  15. they want us to stay on the station and endlessly que instanced warzones in a gear grind, like wow
