  1. I'll be able to attend. I just created a toon to make sure the name was available. I'll be flying as Stocky-d, pub side
  2. didn't realize this was necro'ed until I posted... nothing to see here, move along...
  3. I'm going to make bastion toon just to partake in this event. I'll have the toon name and availability posted here soon
  4. merging server queue would be both a blessing and a curse, though I would welcome it.
  5. devil's advocate here, as I would like the option of holo vs. flesh-and-blood. When you log out, doesn't that mean you theoretically 'left' and are somewhere else? since you can't place your logged out toon in the SH as a deco, it would appear that way. NOW who among you would leave without your crew?! in that way it makes sense to me for them to be holos, as I'm certain my crew would leave with me.
  6. when you fully upgrade the repair droid vendor from the legacy - character perks screen to tier 3, you then have a vendor you can summon every 15 minutes who sells the base crafting mats. just thought that'd help
  7. a roadrunner paint job for my novadive P.S. LOL tom, well put!
  8. this is probably the most pertinent point thus far. Tom nailed it. and he nailed it SO well, you even confessed it: THAT IS WHAT THIS WHOLE THING IS ABOUT. Alrik, it looks like you had roughly three meaningful choices before your rant, and after it you still have the same three choices: 1. quit playing GSF, 2. keep playing GSF until you overcome the learning curve, 3. seek help with GSF from someone with some experience. Should you decide to take the third option, I would be more than glad to share anything I know about the game with you. I'm sure many other pilots (who are better than I) would be glad to help as well. Please change your attitude/approach.
  9. Don't put me on blast like that, or you'll have the aces hunting me for real! Another thing: I'm not sure how you gathered that intel, since every time I flew against you and got within 5k meters of your ship I exploded in about half a second... on a serious note though, I do truly appreciate that coming from you, as you are most definitely one of the best pilots I've flown with, or against. Nothing but respect for you, and everyone who gives me a run for my money, pub or imp. and another note to sartt, the OP: Yes, I have a tendency to switch to my gunship in a pinch. I tend to be a sniper in most FPS/TPS games, so chances are the Quarrel would still be the ship I played the most, even if the sniping (or the sniping class) in GSF was horrible. but I do try to get all 500 double req on all ships, each day that I have time to play, so I don't always do the 'Quarrel Shuffle'. ALSO it will happen less and less as I get more experience under the belt with the other ships.
  10. So I have a strange feeling that the person being called out here is me. now I may be 'opening the floodgates' for all the aces in here to start hunting me, but let me say right now you'll be sadly disappointed if you're looking for a challenge. I'm no ace, I won't claim to be one. I'm the guy who says 'crap' in ops chat when I see xiao's name on the opposing team, then tries to hold a satellite for a bit to score a few measly req (usually unsuccessfully) while my team (myself included) gets slaughtered. I've had literally 1 game in my GSF career where I had more than 13 kills (13 was my previous record), and that 30-2 was it. as for the cluster issue, I play out of the SE united states, and it doesn't seem to be a task to kill me, as I die quite frequently almost every game. I don't know what to say, except: whatever problems you ran into weren't intentional.
  11. Gotta be something upbeat, gotta be something funky for Remmy. picture set against a black screen with multiple sized boxes of different colors slide across the screen at different speeds, each box showing an action scene from the scoundrel story, each scene tinted the same color as it's box.
  12. While the gear gap may look quite large when you first begin browsing the various components and what they do, this is a bit of an illusion. The minor components of each ship (sensors, magazine, capacitor, thrusters, etc) are very cheap to fully upgrade compared to the major components (1st tier: 1k, 2nd tier: 1.5k, mastered: 2.5k [1k + 1.5k + 2.5k = 5k total]). Mastering these four components goes a long long way to closing that gap, much longer than it may seem initially. also, getting the first couple of tiers of the major components closes the gap considerably as well. I'm not saying there's no gear gap, because there is one. I'm saying it's not quite the monster it looks to be if you put some thought and planning into how you spend your req.
  13. This seems to be the problem. I fly every ship in my hangar, and love the idea that we are limited to 5 different builds at any given time.
  14. it wasn't a question of framing... I tried the PTS about a dozen times, at all different times of day, and I can tell you that there were never enough people to get a match going... I didn't learn about the party until after it was done sadly...
