  1. Suddenly spawning x3 the amount of enemies, even as you just walk in the door suddenly a group that has never been there is appearing out of no where and aggo'ing on you.

From patch notes: To prevent exploitive behavior, we have made a number of adjustments to enemy NPCs in the Heroic Mission "Republic's Most Wanted".

  2. I know that when they talked about it before the nerf for guard was for PvP only. So I wonder if they changed their minds or forgot to mention that in the patch notes.

On the livestream last month they said it would be both pvp and pve, saying they didn't balance pve content around dps using guard so they "don't believe it will be a fundamental change to these encounters".

If they communicated something different since that stream, then I am not aware of it.

  3. Most problems caused in pugs are caused by people in 306 gear--and sure, this is in absolute numbers, there are a lot more people in 306 than not anymore, in the MMFP queue, but bad players cause issues, not gear below item rating 285.

While I'd consider it bad form to pug in things like.. 'empty DvL gear' (grouping with guilds or friends is another matter, you know what your group can handle then), if you're repeatedly running into issues with people with item rating 270 or such in your group, that just means you're being carried when everyone is geared up.

  4. On my primary legacy I currently have 2546 renown ranks spread over 90 characters, so I'm not quite there yet, but I can imagine that many people who play only one or a few characters are there already.

I think when this thread was made I was still busy getting my army of characters to 75--114 at cap currently, still a few to go..

  5. I've had some things to say about this game's customer service, because as often as not their response will have absolutely nothing to do with what you created the ticket for, and them stating blatantly false information as if it were a matter of fact is not a rarity either, but this OP here.. is not exactly what I would call an example of how horrible CS can get. If anything, it looks like an example of how players can rage over things they don't understand.
  6. In the past I've experienced issues where sometimes I wouldn't be able to take screenshots at all, mostly in strongholds, until relogging, but I've not experienced that in a long while. Aside from that I've experienced what Tsillah describes, trying to take screenshots with little time in between is an issue for some reason.
  7. Don't the spammers just keep making free accounts when one is banned?

I meant from my list. Either I regularly go through my list trying to distinguish the many gibberish credit spammer names from the many troll/jerk names on there (because I don't want to remove the latter) or my ignore lists will reach the limit because of all the credit spammers.

What I would like is the ability to add a comment, to add a note to every ignored person to remind me why I ignored them. Aside from being able to decide that someone with a minor offense may deserve a second chance, it helps me quickly see which ignored characters are actual characters, and which are just spam bots, which don't need to stay on the list, because they'll have been replaced.

Now if I go to fleet and see three credit spam messages, I ignore two of them and get an error on the third that my ignore list is full, I'm having to sort through that list to delete some credit spam names while not deleting the ones I just added a minute ago.

Comments would save me a lot of frustration.

  8. I'm happy about it being legacy-wide on both relevant legacies, that's a slightly better than what I was counting on.

I'd have liked a comment option, being able to note why I added someone to my ignore list, if only to be able to clear out the credit spammers faster when I need space--which reminds me, I imagine it might be a bit hard to test whether there are more ignore slots now, but I'm really hoping for an increase over the current 128 also.

  9. I just ran it today, but I did not get the achievement.

    Same. Didn't get fixed,

edit: Hmm, correction. I Finished with everything completed and two seconds remaining and didn't get it, but on my second run with another character (and.. 3 or 4 seconds remaining) I did get the achievement.

    Fussy, but achievable.

  10. Nope, I know better than to buff, heal or shield my companion before or immediate after sending them to attack. I don't do anything for several seconds as to let my Tank gain hate and aggro before I engage... I know how to control my companion and how to play my characters.

The thing I am trying to convey is How This is Something NEW. Never Before did companions Mostly Ignore the tank. Never before did NPC's start attacking you 2 to 3 seconds before you can even target them, but the do now. Never before were NPC's able to Attack and Damage your character THROUGH SOLID OBJECTS now They can but you can not.

Never before was the Player's Character the Primary Target when there are Others involved in the fight. If anything the NPC's used to mob your Healer or your DPS instead of the player and your Tank companion would pull them Off of the player if you were to pull Aggro.

Well, I am very sorry, but I don't see any change whatsoever. Enemies don't ignore my tank companions, enemies don't attack me before I can target them, enemies have always been able to hit you through certain objects that are solid to the player..

  11. The only thing I can imagine (which was not a recent change; and there were a lot of long posts here, I skimmed, sorry of this was mentioned already) is that if you send your companion after something and then do something like put a bubble on it (so after combat started, but before the enemies are aware of you), they will all immediately notice you, for having taking the first action while in combat. If you first bubble and then send in the companion, this doesn't happen.

Other than that, I can only echo the post before mine. I almost exclusive play with tank companions (only exception is.. when I'm playing a tank myself), and I'm not experiencing any problems, and certainly not any new ones.

  12. I think the biggest factors are going to be how much intake you have (effectively: what content you play and how much you play it) and how much you need (amount of characters, amount of specs, willingness to 'share' gear, whether some are more important than others), which are so incredibly variable, that it's hard to give a specific answer.

For me.. I've always played such an ungodly amount of MM FPs, that.. my step one was to get a generic 306 set for tanking and for not-tanking. My step two was to determine exactly what I wanted to end up with, what items I'd need to consider my gearing to be finished. Looking at how fast I was gaining those items, I quickly realized that I could discard everything else. I'm currently on my third step of examining only amplifiers on drops to see whether there's anything I wish to keep.

  13. Yeah, I can sort of understand them pushing swoops a bit much early on, but I had definitely been expecting Gree when we got Raks last week, because we hadn't gotten it in a while. It was a pleasant surprise for me, since I had some unfinished business in the tunnels, but it certainly seemed like an odd move to me.
  14. With this event coming back in 2 weeks, Was the Onderon Horizon Razer Perfection ever fixed? I noticed some of the event was in the patch notes this week, but did not notice this.

    I did.

"The “Horizon Razor: Onderon Course” Mission is now tracked for the “Horizon Perfection” Achievement on Onderon as intended."

  15. Were talking data storage though. 32bit has nothing to do with that. Plus, I’ve seen people post they have more credits than that in the legacy back. So either they are lying or this assumed cap is wrong.

Has anyone got a screen shot of the cap to show us. Or have you guys personally reached the cap and can show us?

We're not talking about data storage, we're talking about memory. To be able to use (or even see) the amount, it needs to be in active memory. They create a variable of a certain datatype to manipulate/display the data via code, this datatype is very much dependent on whether it runs on 32/64 bit and is commonly the limiting factor, like it very clearly is for character credit count.

But I also said that there are ways around it, which they obviously applied for the legacy bays..

  16. You’re thinking of processing power. It’s completely unrelated. .

No, that's basically correct, it has nothing to do with processing power. The character credit cap works exactly like described, it's a specific datatype that can store a value up to 4,294,967,295 (if memory serves, the character credit limit is exactly 150k below that), so that will often be the highest possible number you'll see in 32-bit games.

There are some ways around it, and they've clearly used one for the legacy bay.
