  1. Who has a four day weekend? Not me. Easter weekend is just another weekend to the majority of working people.
  2. One thing that I did like about DAoC housing was the ability to have trophies mounted and displayed in your house with hook points. The hook points were for different items and one allowed you to display a trophy that you had mounted by an alchemist with a potion. The wall had hook points for weapons or pictures and the floor had armor and other large bulky items. I would think it'd be the type of a system that could be used in SWTOR as well. Speaking of trophies. Is there any plans for mobs to drop a trophy, trophy being the remains of a creature that has been to a taxidermist? This would be a nice addition to have in your stronghold.
  3. Will there be a monthly rental fee charged for the housing such as they charge in DAoC or will it be a one time charge? I ask as you had to buy a plot and then pay a monthly rental fee based on the type of house you had purchased.
  4. No it doesn't It just covers a part of the lower left side as seen here. http://swtorista.com/outfit?id=405
  5. I'm having the same issue for me and my companion as we both wear the same outfit.
  6. Finally I was able to login without having to have the task manager running to end task and restart the game. I hated it. Still won't give up my AMD card. Going to try again later in the morning and see if it still loads up on the first try.
  7. As a person that used to buy packs and packs of sports cards, and I am talking about upwards of a few hundred dollars at a time, I see cartel packs as nothing different the packs of sports cards. I am buying a pack looking for that next Jordan rookie card but don't find it. Instead I get a rookie card from BFN and even though there are those people that want him just because he went to their college, others don't. So I will sell them at a lower price then a top value item. If I find that card, just like equipment in swtor, that I want I may keep it, or if I see that it is commanding a high price I may just sell it. If I get a duplicate then I keep one and sell the other one. That way if I want to complete a set of armor, or a specific blaster, lightsaber or whatever, I may get just enough or more to buy it. If you believe that cartel packs are a form of gambling then packs of sport cards, magic the gathering, or whatever packs someone buys are also a form of gambling too. They both have the risk of being having a great item in them or not. One can take that risk or not. I know the majority of packs I am going to buy will not have what I want, but I still don't mind buying or spending the money on them as I really like opening the packs. The one difference for me is that here I limit my purchases. I may buy cc once every other or once every three months. Why? Because unlike sports card packs, I am not making any real money. That is what makes this a non-gambling site. If they were to allow you to withdraw money, then that could be perceived as a form of gambling with the packs.
  8. I had wipe on the boss, but I can take on two mobs at once in most areas even though doc is in low 50 and 45+ gear. Really should get him better geared but just finished gearing up myself to 66s. I am sure that once I have him fully geared up so that I don't have to worry about him that much I'll do better. Should also think about joining a guild one of these days.
  9. Pure garbage. All you are saying is a matter of opinion. I have played games with them and hated them. You have a large amount of people in one area and the entire place is full of them. I have had a better time with teamspeak then with chat bubbles. I like having the chat box as it keeps the screen from being cluttered with chat balloons.
  10. A large amount of players want a cartoon world full of chat bubbles? Have you ever played a game that has them in them? I've played some f2p games that had them and hated them. They were horrible. They take away from the game experience and I am glad that they are not part of the game. Don't ask which ones because I don't keep track of the f2p that I have played as I would switch games a lot when I played them. Here I am a subscriber. They are NOT for roleplaying. I also seriously doubt that a large part of the player base left because there were no chat bubbles and you cannot prove that they left for lack of them and that people are leaving as they are not here. I will call you out on this missing feature that you want. You have no way to prove that a "large" base of players want this just as I have no way to say that a "large" number of players don't want this. Although the majority of people responding don't care for it. They only work at a limited range as you need to be a certain distance to see someone and the chat bubble above them. If they were to added to appease a small player base then they better darn well make it an option to turn them off. The devs have already answered as they have not put them in. They may not have said anything but they don't have to.
  11. Fear you? Really, fear you? How amusing can one be. DreadMaster? You make my chortle. I am Jedi Knight who has taken the life of many siths, darths and cleansed these universes of the emperor. I bathe in their blood while I laugh with the giddiness of a young padawan. My name brings fear to the empire as they know my power. I walked the darkside long before I fooled the emperor into taking me in. I studied his every move. Felt his power and allowed myself to consume and drink every bit in that I could. He was a weak fool as I hid my true intentions from him at every turn. His weakness was his own undoing just as yours will be. Had it not been for the crew of my ship, I would have defeated him and taken his place to rule the empire. It was only due t their interference that I was forced back into service for the Republic. Though I am a Jedi, I have long since embraced the dark side and have even turned my padawan t the dark side with subtlety. A child of the emperor she was and no longer will be as she is under my complete controll. So fear me and my power as I grow stronger and beyond all that you can or even that which you cannot even imagine. So fear me. Tremble at every breath I take knowing that I struck down the emperor with my own hands and I will do the same to you.
  12. I hate the thought of chat balloons. Besides sw I also play on Second Life and had chat balloons on once in a club and there were so many that you couldn't see what everyone was saying. They are a horrible idea and I don't use them and would never use them if they added them on here. It would make things to cartoony for me. I realize that there would be fewer ones here as people are more spread out here, but I despise them. I detest them. I loathe them with every waking breath, and sleeping ones too! In short, I have played a game with them and don't like them one bit.
  13. But fat bottomed girls make the rocking world go round, don't you know?
  14. It's annoying but nothing that bothers me anymore.
  15. Yeah, geared properly, he can do some heavy damage. I usually use Ashara but he is doing just as much damage with similar equipment. Also since she is maxed on affection, I really have no use for her at this time.
  16. TBH, I always thought it was as she had been a Jedi and her trainer taught her about dressing modestly.
  17. Yeah I noticed that too. I was like, uhmmm, ok so I can have my hood and mask on.
  18. This is what I have to say to those of you all complaining about downtime.
  19. At least it's not as bad as WoW and their maintenance. BW has done work at 12am PST/DT when I usually play and I have lived through it. I have other games I can play or in fact, I go to bed at a decent time since I am in the states. Everyone will live through this as they have in the past.
  20. Blah blah blah. You sound worse then those who complain when their cable goes down for about 10 minutes and want a free month plus credit towards a pay per-view.
  21. Would have been nice to see them at South by this weekend during the Interactive Gaming Expo portion of the Fest.
  22. Dear Jeebus you people are all idiots. Had you been using only your user name to log on to the website and the game client this whole time, this would not even be an issue. The display name I use here is used only here and nowhere else. It does not even come close to the email address I use for it and the password here is not the same as my email address password. You don't have to have your passwords match nor do you have to match your user name to the first part of your email address. Also the security question answers are meaningless as you can provide any sort of an answer for them. e.g. Q. Where were you born? A. I like hooters or A. banana Due to the fact I have been on the net for 20+ years, I have accumulated literally hundreds of user names and passwords and security questions. The majority I can actually remember, but I still have them on a spread sheet which is encrypted on a encrypted thumb drive. Not one of my accounts has ever been hacked or been a part of a website that has been hacked and user names stolen. That's not to say a website wasn't hacked, just that my accounts were never hacked nor stolen. I want to know how many of you out there have had an account that has been hacked?
  23. How is using your display name any different now then any other form you may use? If you use Twitter, people know your user name as well. Let's get real here. Any site can be hacked and customer's information can be stolen meaning passwords and login information. Now that being said, unless you know me personally, you will not know 1) my password, 2) the email address I use to reset my password and 3) the answers to my questions. When answering the questions, you do not have to actually use an answer that matches the question. The question could ask for your favorite vacation spot and you could say, Warpedmonkies and the system wouldn't know if t was an actual place or not. Think people, no one at EA is going to ask you for your account information. So if you get an IM from someone stating that they are from EA and need your email address to authenticate you or your going to be booted and banned, you know it's a scam. Can anyone one of you actually guess what my email address is? How about guessing the email of other people here? I really and truly doubt that anyone would be able to guess anyone else email and then guess that password. If you're smart you have a multitude of passwords and names for different sites. I myself have 30+ email addresses for various sites on various email providers. Some are site specific and others are for the the type of sites. It's not the end of the world or swtor. You'll all live.
  24. Not into blondes or some of the Bonds girls that there have been. There are also companion customizations you can buy. None will make her into a blonde, but you can customize her.
