  1. Considering they aren't providing any new end game content that requires subscription, they should remove that requirement from old content too (uprisings and operations). I know a lot of people who would join a random raid every now and then, but it's quite expensive if you have to pay a full month's sub for two hours of playing.

Now those people aren't logging in at all, which means they won't be seeing what's in CM either.

Let's face it. They made some items available, only once you were bla. bla. blla.... Hero Engine is not Tomb Raider. They can't get quests working when you have to jump, climb, and jump again. Especially when you get stuck between a snowball or whatever. Why do you keep doing these kind of screwed up "puzzles"

Join a big guild with lots of events. There will be datacron event at some point too. Meanwhile just be happy that you don't have to do them with all your characters anymore like us old timers had to.

I don't think theres any technical problems with it. Players can already play on any server with any language in their client. I'm thinking the bigger issue is that they sold German and French players a game with a community in their own language. If they take that away, it could open them up for a lawsuit or settlement, where they end up having offer refunds for all the money those players spent on the game over the years.

The game client can be installed in German and French, that's what they sold the game with. They couldn't have promised German and French communities because the game creators don't create communities, players do. If most of the French community would just quit playing, thus killing the community, the remaining French would have no grounds for a lawsuit because how do you sue a playerbase?

Yeah new gtn clears sorry to say. Looking up prices on gold augs for example is one page 7 different items instead of 25 pages of the same thing lol.

Why would you even browse through 25 pages to find an augment? They could be sorted by price, it required one simple click.

some players made it their life to harass others on the GTN if they undercut them or refused to lower their price. I was targeting a few times because I sold large amounts of crafting materials and had to be "cheating" even though all I did was mass buy when the prices were low and resell when the prices were high lol.

others, even on this forum, would witch hunt people for undercutting them on the GTN. Names being taken away from purchases and sales was for the betterment of the game.

I was never harassed by anyone because of my GTN sales, probably because I played it fair and square. It really sounds like a you-problem.

I understand where you are going with this but I like the new UI more.

You instantly see the lowest price (really good for new players) and it´s easier to scroll because there are not 10 pages with the same item.

Also the newest listet item, favourites and most liked item pages are gold.

All they had to do was to change default sorting to lowest item first. By doing that there was no need to browse 10 pages of the same item. One or two maybe, but not 10. You don't destroy a perfectly functioning system because people can't use the sort button.

I've opted out from using the new GTN. So that's yet another -1 of things to do in game, which means less time in this game, more time playing other games.

The problem is that's not a fair comparison and I don't appreciate you attempting to make me look like a prejudiced person when you're not even comparing the same. It's more like there's a ramp available for you to use but you don't like the ramp, you want an elevator. That's fine, you're welcome to want that, but that doesn't mean there's not a way into the building for you still.

If something is there and you don't like it, that's not the same as there being no option. And again, nobody is forcing you to do anything. I'm just pointing out that you shared an opinion and I shared an opinion. You don't need to get mad at me for my opinion just because I disagree with you. Both of our opinions are valid. I just see multiple flaws with what you're asking for. Personally I think they could just as easily have /4 be LFG or PvE or something like that and it would serve the same function without the system messages.

But I still think you're freaking out over people "being able to see your logins" and I still cannot comprehend any way in which that's an actual problem beyond you just don't really like people seeing when you log in. But I can add you to my friends without any action on your part and see your logins anyway so... yeah. That's kinda my point. It's a very public game and public forum. That's the nature of the beast. :)

I'm not the only one with this problem, why don't you go attack someone else for a change:

    https://forums.swtor.com/topic/934766-system-chat-spam-please-help/?do=getNewComment

Just because you refuse to see there is problem, doesn't make the problem non-existant. However it makes you the problem because people are trying to get it fixed, but you are arguing against it because "you don't have a problem with it". Not the brightest thing to do I would say.

This mob has to be killed for liabilities of Corellia as one of this week's GS objectives, and it does not look like it's intended. Not sure what he should carry, in the picture it looks like he's holding the single-bladed saber, but he appeared to have thrown the double-bladed lightsaber low slash-style earlier.image.thumb.png.fdce75cee138123bf98aebf0d4df7842.png

Considering hundreds of people are hunting him non stop on respawn, I call it understandable. I too would bring more weapons considering the circumstances. 😄

I cant get 30k sustained dps, ive tried but its not happening. Despite that i dont think im stupid, i know to not stand in the big red circles for example. Im still relatively new to ops since ive always mained pvp but Ill still give it a try though.

Don't worry about it too much. I can only get it on my main dps spec, but I'm still invited with my offspecs too, because the raid leads know I know what I'm doing and they can count on me pulling my weight where it's needed. I'm never the highest dps in a group, but I have least damage taken and I do the mechanics reliably. I meant it more like "aim higher" rather than being so satisfied with it that you'd stop progressing.

  9. I would aim for 30k on a dummy, so you can afford a bit of downtime on bossfights, especially if you are planning NiM content. That being said, if you are new to ops, your dps isn't as important as staying alive. Dead dps = 0 dps. Don't be that guy who is standing in stupid because numbers. When you learn the fights, better numbers will follow as long as you've got your gear and rotation right.

not to be that guy, but it's elite warlord :D

anyway if you stick with one char you can get that in like 3-4 months even faster or longer depends on your playtime

What the.... <scrolls back to check> oh wow, I really wrote warstalker. I totally meant Elite Warlord. Good catch! Too much spamming EC NiM lately. 😅

I don't remember how long it took me to get Elite Warlord, it was longer than 3-4 months, but I also played multiple characters & classes back then so that didn't help. I ended up having it on two alts before I quit playing pvp. Had I focused on one alt only, 3-4 months sounds plausible. But pvp was popping all the time, no matter what time of day.

  11. You can still control your movements even if you get the debuff from the adds: just run against it. If you want to turn right, turn left instead. The character doesn't stop moving so you need to steer it all the time, which is not great with channeled abilities.

it's a good thing Galactic Season has no PvP or GSF related conquest goals and there are no conquest rewards for doing ops or killing ops bosses; gotta avoid pesky participation rewards

    image.png.ae6306c540e17641a009abf25bf2ffdf.png

You forgot to add the screenies from pvp and gsf to show the gross disparity. Not that it really matters, because you also don't seem to understand that you need to complete those ops to get any points at all. Uou won't complete HM but especially not MM if you are not actively hitting the correct buttons, while in GSF and PVP you can complete theirs by being afk.

Either your understanding of the game is very limited or you are deliberately posting misinformation.

Because it's to the benefit of me and everyone else in the channel. When we host a group, as we advertise something like "LFM DK The First", people outside the chat like you will be completely blind to the request. You may actually want to join for the weekly conquest objective, but since you're off doing who knows what, you're oblivious to the request. If you're on Ossus for example, how are you to know a group for The First is building without a person using the Ossus General chat? I don't know if SF has the same problem, but now and then when building an ops team, it can take a long time to fill all the DPS, Healing, and Tank spots. There's likely plenty of interest for the group, but those additional players interested may be playing the game completely unknown to the existence of the group since they haven't joined endgame.

I basically already said it way above.

Okay, that is a good reason. And yes, I know I'm missing a some pug endgame content by not being on any LFG channel, but that's why I'm on a lot of discord servers. They are better than LFG channels because I don't even have to be in game to see the callouts and I can easily pretend I'm not there and don't see any callouts, when I'm not in the mood for doing anything.

I'm not trying to force you, I'm legitimately not understanding why you find it a problem. But that's fine, I'm really not even invested in that anymore. But to your second point. You posted to a public forum and in doing so made it public business. If it's not anyone's business why are you talking about it in public? (I want to emphasize that I'm legitimately confused how something public isn't public)

This topic started on suggestion to add a general LFG tab to the game. Someone suggested custom channels. I responded and explained why custom channels are not a good option for everyone and what in particular is the problem with them. You don't see those as problems, so clearly they aren't a problem for you, but you don't get to say I'm making things up or inventing problems that are real for me.

If you have to enter a building with stairs or even a few steps, there's no problem if you have two functioning legs. However it is a problem for someone sitting in a wheelchair. Do you go out and tell the person in a wheelchair that they are just inventing a problem? Or do you understand that their experience and point of view in that situation is different than yours.

Now imagine that same person in wheelchair saying in public that they have a problem entering the building because there's a step they can't get over, they would want a ramp next to the stairs. Do you start arguing that there is no problem (because you don't have one) or acknowledge that the entrance doesn't work for everyone? Because you're now basically arguing against having a server wide LFG tab (what OP suggested) because "you don't have a problem with custom chat channels".

Meksha, IIRC, doesn't have reputation. The vendor is strictly decorations. I've only done this on one character, but I'm assuming you'll need to do it on all characters?

The vendor is in the back of the cantina (in the Slugfall area/zone of Meksha) on the first floor. Up the stairs to the second floor, off to the side somewhere, will be a table of datapads where you can start doing the missions which basically boil down to collecting items and retrieving them for the vendor. There's about 3 missions if I remember, with each one unlocking a couple of the decorations on the vendor when completed.

Next time I jump in game, I'll go on a character I didn't do the missions with and see if they're unlocked.

    Okay thanks.
I have a vague memory of such vendor, now I just need to figure out which character I used to do the missions with, if it has to be the same one.

  15. I checked mine a few days ago, I was at 480 or something without farming anything, I just raid a lot. So just as I said in another topic, the drop rate is fine. It literally doesn't require any farming at all if you play the correct content. Kinda like with conquest.

Pvp and gsf players are getting showered with conquest points, raiders get the blueprints, which is fair. Ideally everyone would get everything they need from whatever content they want to play, but since that is not happening, at least pvp and gsf players have to work for the blueprints and not just get participation rewards like they already do with conquest.

There was nothing wrong with the rep token at 43k as you still had to farm the tokens to get it.

And also level up to 50 to be able to use it for conquest.

It's not like you can create a character, not play it at all, and just use rep tokens. Those 50 levels don't come from sitting in a stronghold.

Cq points are no valid excuse to not do something about the poor state of pvp

It's valid for people who don't play pvp because they like it, but play it for cqp. For that we can thank BS because there are not enough good conquest objectives for pve. To be competitive in conquest, people need to play pvp. BS wants more people to play pvp but are unwilling to do the changes it requires, so they just toss in random conquest players who don't care about pvp at all. The result is quite obvious.

  18. I haven't tried to decorate Copero SH yet, but sounds like we really need an option to shrink/enlarge our current decorations.

You do need to run a series of quests before being able to access the vendor though.

It's been so long I really don't remember anymore... Is it a reputation kind of vendor that you can eventually access with every character, or do I need to find the one and only character who's done that serious of quests sometimes in the past?

I think the bigger point he was making is that even if the names are showing, who cares. Unless people are actively looking for you it doesn't matter. And there's more effective ways to actively look for you. I think you're inventing a problem where there really isn't one.

Yeah I know what his point was, but I disagree because I care about the names showing. He doesn't care that I care, which is fine by me, but it doesn't give him a right to attack me. Just because something isn't a problem for you or him, it's a problem for me. I don't want my logins and logouts announced on a custom chat channel and no amount of personal attacks will make me want it. What I don't get it why are you guys so invested in trying to force me to join a channel I don't want to join? It's none of your or anyone else's business.

    5 hours ago, Rohndogg said:

And if you know to join endgame you know how to turn system messages off.

Incorrect. I know how to join custom chat channels, but I don't know anything about turning off system messages (nor do I care). The people who's streams I've seen haven't turned them off either because I can see their system messages and people logging in and out in the streams all the time.

Except for the players with huge stockpiles of 'one point' GS reputation tokens:  As I recall, these award 25 rep baseline, so you could farm a single season's reputation track for up to 2,800 days (or over 7 years) if you don't have any reputation boosts:  Even with a 100% boost, that's still nearly 4 years of 'free' conquest farming per season for anyone who played the GS enough to (eventually) cap the reputation track.

Even a 'basically no effort' season (as outlined in my previous post) should get you 340+ days of 'free conquest point' farming.

If they hadn't nerfed the actual conquest objective, this issue would have hung over the game for years to come...

There is nothing wrong with stockpiling items earned in game. That includes tokens, credits, armor sets, mats, craftables and so on, any item you can think of. It's the same as they suddenly decided that people playing in Revan outfit are over-represented, and they'd decide to remove a bunch of details and change the texture to discourage people from using it.

The so called problem would have ended eventually when people run out of them. If someone saved them up and chose conquest over the achievement, they should be allowed to keep them and utilize them as they see fit, especially when the achievement is not on the table anymore.

Also nerfing them would have never been a problem (at least not on this scale) if they hadn't changed personal conquest goal from 50k to 100k at the beginning of 7.0.
