  1. Jugg forever ! Sin is much harder to play well while one cannot really go wrong with jugg. As I see it, for someone who is still learning the game, jugg is much more suitable. Sin is more an advanced class.
  2. I still would not mind your stuff. Please, reconsider !
  3. One just needs to keep playing. What is important to realise that it does not matter for how long have you been playing or how many times did you actually play: a new roll is always has the same chance s. Every roll is a first roll, as it would be. What makes it hard is the human psyche what expects results after an apparent great effort. But it does nor work that way. I probably spent close to 8 million credits on smuggler chips and got more than half a dozen mounts, a certificate for every 50-100k spent, and 3 gamorreans.
  4. It's just RNG aka random, throwing in it's randomness and giving Ops a bonus the third time.
  5. Another place for my zakuulan turret plantation.
  6. The problem is in the mindset that only cares for BiS. The game is enjoyable on almost all levels in the 230 set with bonus, from master fp, to sm operations. There is only the pvp min-maxer metagamer who benefits from BiS but imo most people are not good at pvp itself and their class to warrant any gear complaints. One should not play the CXP leveling game because that is a grind. If one's aims are the next cxp level so one can arrive at one's theoretical best, what imo is no guarantee at all that one will suck big time in practice, it is easy to see how that grind is soul killing. But I think it is allright and no easing up is necessary, rather incentives to focus on other accomplishments than cxp level and BiS gear. The 230 set is good gear and so is the 236, 242 ones. There is really no excuse for the BiS only mindset, what really is a destructive one.
  7. Died annoyingly many times because of this in SF HC solo.
  8. Already bought my Syrene mount. Manaan is nice. I dont care for Rishi, and havent even buy Yavin SH. I hope Manaan is not a very big SH.
  9. My impression is that EA/BW forces people into subscription. This impression of course is result of the f2p model being succesful in advertising the full game. Practicly, in order to be able to properly play and advance in all game aspects, one needs to subscribe. Which is normal. But for an addict who has developed an addiction based on freely provided stuff, the time when he is asked to pay if he wants more, will be bitter. It is this simple. Ethically or morally it would be more sound to make an initial purchase of 30 days necessary for all, but than the luring effect of f2p would be lost. So while I dont like swtor's f2p, in fact l left the game the after my 60 days subscription ended and I was faced with preferred restrictions, still coming back last december I felt necessary to subscribe to fully enjoy all aspects of the game. So there you have it. I hate it but it still works and makes me sub even if I find less and less tinw or incentive to keep playing.
  10. I have never played sm uprising because I thought doing 10 of them would be a chore. Now, I might.
  11. I don't experience this at all. Using any lvl 70 toon even at 1influence, most planets are a piece of cake with the exception of the former H4 heroics. Even those are doable, though.
  12. No, except a few ones what I wont spoil.
  13. Opening up the creditcap and trade f2p restrictions and providing tradeable gametime card available in the cartel market. 3000 cc should be fine. This way players still would pay around 15 bucks for a game month but it would allow f2p-ers the ability to fully enjoy the game.
  14. Why ? Because you are only one player with a particular playstyle. This is not a single player game. Others do pvp. Than again if a class is OP that goes against diversity as more and more players will gravitate towards its use on the expanse of other classes/content. This in the long run will hurt the game offering less replayability and fun what will lower interest in the game and lower sales. And while you may be fine with your solo merc pve, when queues start to take longer this will hurt you too. So it makes sense even for you to have a balanced game in the long run.
  15. As a more casual, lately crafter, doing fps and ops mainly for my guildmates' sake I can't say which would be better. But let me provide feedback on the unassambled components in general. In my view (what as my intro said might not be representative for most players, or maybe it might for many, I don't know) UCs have a dark aura. That means I kind of hate them ... It's just that they are hard to get. I don't agree that they are easy to get because pvp is afk-able. That is not my experience. My experience is that both warzones and GSF are much harder content than the casual nature of the breadth of the game which is still the story rich 1-70 leveling, for most returning and or new players. And afking ? I can't take a breath before I am kicked by the in-built inactivity timer. Warzones and GSF also require huge nerve durability because both need upgraded, good gear and skills to become competitive and by that getting the chance for the real reward: winning against other players. So as a result of all the above, the UCs I get on my main, poor vanguard tank, who suffers constant humiliation, focusing and elimination in WZs and for GSF noobships the situation is the same, I stick to them like crazy for their accumulated inventory number seems to be the only reward for a harsh and otherwise unrewarding activity. This, to the level that I actually feel quilty when I rarely spend them on a shiny upgrade what will result in an immeasurable improvement of my toon/ship. From my 8 toons, only my main has any UC's at all. So, I really hate them, I can't help it. Because of this, and only because of this, I am against rewarding the hardest PVE aspect of the game with UC currency. I don't know what the best solution is but getting a reward should feel like hitting the jackpot. Option number 2 would be like instead the gamorrean companion contract you would get 100 smuggler coins. Not epic, not a climax but a note: here, some pocket change so you don't leave empty handed.
  16. Lemme just say that I always assign a kickvote to these merrygoeers There cant be leeching rewards under my watch/batman
  17. Entirely wrong. I have first hand experience how my woodoo positively affected the results. And the best is I cannot be caught because supposedly there is no such thing as an influence on the machines. :-)
  18. For me, a first timer, it was a surprisingly enjoyable experience aftervall the ************ of my guildies about how taxing it is. Spent 900k and got 12 golden certificates and the bigger Vectron mount. I even had 3 kingpin coins spare left. I said I call it a day. It's important to be casual about it ... the decorations are nice and the chance for a +1 unique comp is also good to have.
  19. This. It is almost as much as a lost PvP match gives to m4x/pierce but to any comp. A star fortress run gives 350 influence if I recall it correctly.
  20. Make fp-s great again ! Tune them up all to actually require teamwork and a good challange. Around Eternal Championship level. Everyone and thier mothers run Master fp-s these days...
  21. It really is about losing OPs advantage, which he obviously has worked for. But the new system will still need work and credits while it provides the possibility for new players to catch up eventually. That is not bad. And OP had probably had returned many times for his investment so all he loses is his headstart.
  22. Give the guy some credit. To criticise a proposal is easy, making one is much harder. My only problem is assigning the colour gold to mobey and material interest. I would rather like gold to be attributed in rare occasions and for established force user characters. By this I mean the experienced master force user who transformed through light the earth. Think of how the gold effect is achieved, it is a yellowish reflective surface wath mirrors dark shadows and has a sharp contrast, both on the same surface. Gold would be assigned to a character who has chosen all the "right" light AND dark side choices. Of course there would be a hidden check for this in game but one known only by the developer, players would need to figure it out by trial and error. Sure, finally it would be known but by the effort of brave pioneers.
  23. Fix merc aka nerf, fix vanguard aka boost !
