  1. I don't see how... I mean, if you wanted to go Biochem, what difference does it make the bonus on Artifice? Sure, if you're min/maxing, you're losing out on the +15 bonus. But on the other hand, Sith Inq only gets +2 to UT and +5 to arch, so you're really nerfing yourself when it comes to mats. Alternatively, if you took the hit of having a +0 in Biochem, you have the benefit of getting a whopping +10 in both your gathering skills. -15 in your craft skill to get +13 in your gathering skills isn't really all that bad.
  2. Great, I realized that the reusables were BOP and would require me to keep the craft, I was really curious if some of the other items also required Biochem as, if they did, it really seemed like a dead end craft. While the stims look really nice, a craft that can't net you any money and eventually produces items you never have to replace seemed silly. While the heals will certainly help if OOM, I don't plan to go OOM except if a pull goes really bad, but yes, the med packs can certainly help in that regard, just not nearly as much as they would help a non-healer. Since it sounds like the consumables are sellable, I'll probably wind up going Biochem.
  3. I'm planning to roll a healing spec and was wondering how useful Biochem will be to me. I realize a big part of the craft is the stat buff, but also the reusable healing kits. Those kits will be of less use to me since I'll be geared and specced to heal myself and my companion. Any thoughts on the usefuless of Biochem for a healer? I've also heard rumor that a lot of Biochem (all?) items will require a player to have the Biochem crew skill to use the item, making selling Biochem items prohibitive. Anyone know if this is the case?
  4. I disagree Aethos. It doesn't take the purchse of in game money using real money to purchase things in WoW, it just takes some effort to make money yourself. My first mount in WoW all but bankrupted me, I even had to borrow about 10 gold from a friend. By the time my alt was buying a mount, he had 3 times as much gold as was needed. What saves MMO economies is a money sink. Something to keep inflation down by diverting in game currency away from the players. As long as TOR has sufficient money sinks, and ones that players are motivated to participate in, inflation in TOR will be managable and while prices may rise enough to be difficult for first time players to afford, by the time they're ready to roll an alt those prices won't be as prohibitive.
  5. I once relisted someone's item that was sold for a little less than half market value. Within 5 minutes I got a whisper demanding I give them more money.
