  1. Lol. Pretty sure this is Domi's thread. You're just piggybacking it.
  2. Operatives don't need willpower. Only cunning.
  3. Ok, pal. If you're on this forum sifting through posts, safe to assume your time is not very valuable.
  4. Gets 'em every time. Yes. After the game has unfolded and there is nothing in your bag of tricks that can save it it's totally fine to leave. But going into any warzone, good players should expect that they will be carrying the team; no matter who (good players or bad) is on it.
  5. Yeaaaaah. Get fired up!!! I definitely struck a nerve with that carry thing. Someone thinks they're better than they are. I've quit warzones midway. Just usually don't do it beforehand. I like to think I can carry a team to victory. A LOT of times that turns out not to be the case, but not for lack of trying. I don't queue and leave and queue and leave until I wind up on the '96 Bulls. That's just me though.
  6. My mindset is ( and I like to think of myself as a pretty competant player) that if I do leave beforehand, what are the odds the player they get is better than me? And if he is, what are the odds he stays. Once the match starts, if the team turns out to be completely inept then even a Gladias backfill wouldn't matter. It's usually a done deal, so I don't feel as bad about leaving. I don't want to harp on about this. Just a philosophical difference. Thank you for your input.
  7. I have. I've spent many hours sitting in darkness contemplating that exact thing. Thing is, before the match you just don't know. Your team may look like ****. And they might be. They also might not be. I've been in plenty of matches where before hand I just thought to myself, "oh, brother. this is gonna be rough". Then we get out there and sometimes the other team isn't great, or my team does better than expected. Either way, I just heal my handsome little buns off and hope for the best. If it turns out the team is exactly what it looks like, then I will leave once it seems like the match is decided. I'm fine with that. Gave it a shot and it didn't work out. My original comment was more to the point of people leaving before a match begins because they don't want to carry. There are so many unknown variables, so it's kind of ********. Honestly, the most competitve games are the games with randos. If you wait until you find a team that is on your "elite" level, more often then not they turn out to be a slaughter. But you were on the winning side of the slaughter, so I guess it's ok then.
  8. No, sweetheart. I'm not. If you're a good player you need to be the deciding factor in the game. If that is not your attitude than you are just looking for a carry yourself.
  9. Good players are supposed to carry teams. Comes with the territory. Get over yourselves.
  10. It was fun the first day when there were tons of pvp groups out and about there were "battles". Now it just seems to be either a few fringe guilds trying to validate their existence or a couple of fat losers sitting in stealth with nothing better to do than wait to gank people trying to do the missions by themselves.
  11. This thread would've been better if someone would've just replied "That is such a stupid *********** idea" and then no one else said anything and it then disappeared.
  12. You don't need 2 other guys, but it's just much more fun.
  13. Thanks. We had completely forgotten about it since yesterday.
  14. The only way this is going to work is just to start spamming other sub forums with Bring Back Ranked 8's threads. Get on it.
  15. For all you aspiring titans of industry, I will break down the MK-9 business for you as I see it. You don't have to go out and scavenge anything. Just send companions on scavenging crew missions non-stop. Your per mat cost is somewhere around 450/ myrtha & turadium. Tricopper flux is roughly 100 credits per. QT-10 droid parts cost 2 Tricopper flux, 2 Myrtha and 2 Turadium so about 2,000 credits. After RE'ing a QT-10 droid part, you get 1 MK-9 slot component and usually 1, sometimes 2, myrtha/turadium. Assuming you just get 1 back everytime (at cost of 450), each MK-9 component costs ~1,550 to make. They sell for ~5,500 (on Harbunger). That's a net profit of ~4,000 per component. You don't have to go anywhere or do anything. Just constantly send companions on scavenging missions. If you have a toon that can make the kits, profit margin goes up with crits. I can usually do 40 components in a night, which usually yields 5 kits (4+1 crit). Sell those for 55,000 each and ba-bam: that's like 200k in a night just having to remember to send companions back out on crew missions.
  16. Even an announcement about the announcement would suffice. Say they will be announced two weeks from now. Problem solved. The fact that they've said nothing makes it seem like they are going to throw some reskinned crap together last minute because they are too busy scrambling to get the GSH ready for launch. I said in another thread that because of this the rewards will probably be housing decorations. That is probably wrong and an overreaction, but when you get left in the dark for long enough, crazy thoughts start forming.
  17. Not over for most. It ends at 2.9 I believe. However, it is most likely over for you.
  18. I can't wait to see the reactions when all of the S2 Rewards are housing decorations. Seriously, cannot wait.
  19. The devs have now completed what is known in sports as a hat trick. Alienate PVP community - check Alienate Raiding community - check Alienate CM junkies - check What do devs have planned to piss off the RP community? Take away the "walk" toggle?
  20. The issue has to do with revenue streams. Would cross-server queues cause people to resub, and others to not drop their subs? Maybe. But the amount of revenue generated will not only have to cover the costs of implementation, but also generate a profit. If they only broke even on it, it would go down as a loss because of time that could have been spent developing something that will generate a profit (all this cosmetic ********). Yes some of these subs will also spend money on cartel coins for packs and other **** like that, but there is no way to really track that. If they are unable to project a positive financial impact for implementing cross server queues, there is no way they will ever get the green light for it. Look at the amount of PVP content being developed. They are probably on a tight budget, so they have to be very picky about where they spend the money. Honestly there is probably a lot the developers would love to do with PVP, but there is just no way to justify the costs in terms of the revenue it would generate. Especially if they are working within a budget. tl;dr all about the benjamins, baby
  21. Pubs do it too. Your argument is irrelevant
