  1. Yep. Also, my utility bar was there and covered by the Welcome window so I couldn't hit the "i" symbol to close the Welcome bar until I moved the utility bar a bit further to the right. Somewhat annoying since I liked that bar where I had it originally.
  2. Same issue. No changes to my antivirus or system since yesterday and I was able to login without problems then. Now I'm getting the error message on the topic.
  3. Same here. I was logged into one character and suddenly I lost connection. Can't get back in and get the patch error.

    Eyes

Re: Brown eyes. Going through various characters. It's on human or cyborg characters. I don't have others to try. Color #5 Is one shade of brown. It looks like it's been fixed, or at least the ones that had it that looked... wrong before the fix now look like they did before this eye change thing started. Color #6 Looks like an orange-brown color and this is on a human male operative and a cyborg female scoundrel. Their eyes used to be a very deep dark brown and they still look a bit... off. I'm sure other players can chime in on other color types, but you were asking about the brown eyes.
  5. Some more details on what happened, please? Not sure if you can restore anything lost except maybe cartel coins since those transactions might be recorded elsewhere but attempts might be helpful. Won't mollify the usual, but it would be nice. Otherwise, I think I'll avoid logging in for a day or so just in case this happens again or if you provide more information on what happened.
  6. Yesterday I logged into my alts to do some crafting/increasing crew skills. Though that reset took away some progress, which is a bit annoying. Didn't lose millions of credits, just some time.
  7. Well, you can unlock him with Cartel Coins. It's a little bit over half the stipend you get for a subscriber so it didn't seem that high of a price since I have quite a few alts, but I don't start playing a new one for a couple months or so.
  8. The gloves for the dancer outfits from the Security Key vendor as well as the Nar Shaddaa Social Vendor have rings on them. Some of the color panels are affected by the dye modules so they can look pretty good with an outfit combination or putting a dye module in them (I think they accept dye modules) if you want. Edit: Though it's female-only, alas.
  9. Not that I recall. This is the first time I've had a SWTOR patch load early. So my guess is what I wrote above.
  10. Same here. Game version doesn't match the server version. I suspect it will start working normally after the maintenance, and I suspect someone hit the "deploy new patch" button or whatever at the server center a bit too early.
  11. I tend to keep a reserve of cartel coins by letting my monthly stipend build up and by occasionally buying some extra here and there.
  12. I actually rerolled a lvl 1 inquisitor I had queued up earlier. I hadn't done any customizations on that character yet so it wasn't too much of a burden for me. Though I *do* kind of wish they'd simply set things to detect any new character created and any lvl 1 sitting at the start point or in a stronghold for this. Either way, it's merely bumped up my schedule on getting new characters through the game. It's been fun so far. Inquisitor snark is pretty enjoyable. I was going to send my operative and one of my scoundrels through the endgame quests but I might as well get part of this done. Just to see what's in those pack things they advertised. The main prizes don't really move me, so I'll just play the game like I was going to before they announced this. Otherwise, if I ever find this game to be unworthy of my continued subscription, I will simply end it and that will be that.
  13. I logged into the game, alt-tabbed and noticed the error. Clicking OK made it vanish and nothing else seemed to happen. Game ran normally otherwise.
  14. I usually avoid the forums and simply play the game, but like a trainwreck I sometimes just can't help but stop by and watch. If I find this game unsatisfactory I will... leave. Let my subscription lapse and go find something else to do. Maybe try the Star Trek Online MMO and see how that is. Otherwise, I have some old and new games I find fun and currently this is one of them.
  15. Well, of course. He has to make sure everyone else is as miserable about the game as he is. I think I'll try Imperial Makeb tomorrow or Saturday. Haven't really gotten too far into the Imperial story except for the Imperial Agent Ch 1-3.
  16. How dare someone not agree with the OP and worse: Express that disagreement! Well, if projecting your flaws upon others makes you feel better then feel free to do so.
  17. Ever notice how these complainers always demand the game be set to their demands and they don't do something like, oh, use gear 8-16 levels below the current area's level? Or start a brand new legacy on a new server so they don't have any of the datacron bonuses or companion conversation presence bonuses? Or heck, use only the gear you get for completing missions and don't upgrade it often. I've been leveling a smuggler with the modifications you could purchase with common data crystals and at first I deliberately delayed upgrading every eight levels or so. I did notice some difficulty as my gear became more and more obsolete. Nothing impossible, just mobs taking a bit longer to kill. So now I'm updating as soon as I can since I find that tiresome. I'm probably going to have my crafters make the blue gear for the inquisitor I'll start sometime soon. I hope the l33t players will forgive my wrongfun... nah, I don't really care about that.
  18. I got a second copy of the e-mail, likely because my mail program doesn't do the "acknowledge receipt" thing. The code looks identical to the one I got earlier so that should prevent me from getting another 1050 CC since I redeemed that code already. Not going to try either way. Mildly amusing, but I hope those who missed their code now have it.
  19. I'll throw this in since I missed it at first when I heard the e-mails were going out: I use a web-based mail program called SquirrelMail for my e-mail. I got the e-mail in question but I couldn't see the code. I had to select "view as HTML" to see the code. After that I was able to redeem the code and acquire it. I agree with the recommendation on checking spam filters and I'd also add to try whitelisting "swtor.com" so future e-mails don't get lost. I signed up for Bethesda's forums for Fallout 4 and my confirmation e-mail got filtered, but I was able to find it in the folder spam gets redirected to.
  20. Either that or add add a mk-4 pre-fab type and change the requirements for them so grade 1-8 materials are needed for mk1 through mk4. E.g., mk-1 needs grade 1 and 2, mk-2 needs 3 and 4, etc.. As you noted the artifact grade 1 research compounds and UT materials aren't really used for much right now. Some artifact armors, earpieces, weapons, etc. I'm sure my cybertech can make some off of the earpieces. Not sure if my armstech can do much with the weapons.
  21. From the "Known Issues" for 4.1 in the Bug Reports forum: So it's a bug. They're supposed to be Bind on Equip.
  22. Okay, so far my Armormech and Synthweaving has no schematics. Going through the crafters. Biochem has schematics. Artifice has schematics. Armstech has schematics. Cybertech has schematics. The theory that it is related to deprecated schematics is likely accurate: I've been farming UT gift missions for schematics for the past couple weeks, and I've added more than a few schematics to my armormech and synthweaving alts. Especially after it was said those schematics would be moved to Investigation missions, unless I misread the patch notes and the article detailing the now-active crafting/crew skills changes.
  23. Unfortunately my armormech now has no items available to craft. *sigh*
