  1. Voice of reason from a very good Marauder player.
  2. I am glad you tried to device your own theory. Learning the mechanics on your own, observing the game around you and so on, that's great. You are supposed to do that. However, I'd not do that to the exclusion of some of those pesky facts. Take a deep breath, look back at the info given, then weigh it against your theory.
  3. Sniper roll as well. Wanted to add that in case Seterade insists on continuing his asinine line of argumentation.
  4. Enemy DoTs stay on you even if they die, regardless of your class or spec.
  5. It's a bug. Also, they should let people leap to the goal line. If the enemy players are stupid enough to provide clear line of sight for leaps, they should be punished for bad positioning.
  6. 8k isn't even enough to upgrade from 242 to 248, is it?
  7. I don't like the idea of halving the size of premades. Enacting some role limitations (say one tank, one healer maximum) would be better. Then again, my premade groups already do that and go with 3 DPS and a healer or, substantially more rarely, with full trinity.
  8. They are not exactly CC gods, but Marauder seems to fit nicely.
  9. Duels are not a meaningful way to assess PvP balance. Also, as snave pointed out, cherrypicking aspects from a class and complain about those in a vacuum. Yes, Operative is the best dueling class and excellent at stalling nodes, but that doesn't make it overpowered.
  10. For Infiltration/Deception, looks for Shadow's Respite/Dark Embrace buff. It will be on virtually all the time and especially Dark Embrace's icon is very easy to spot. Tactics/AP can have more than 4 shoulders cannon and stack up energy lodes. They will usually have at least one energy lode. Anyway, a lot of specs have some buffs they have on just about all the time. Learn the icons.
  11. Fair point actually. Not sure I'd call them healers. Not sure what I'd call them, but still...
  12. Exactly. It's a very efficient combo as it is. How the enemies (often) use their abilities makes it even more potent.
  13. Usually the CC thrown around is terrible and focusing is mediocre at best, at least in my experience. In an environment like that, the tank+healer combo survivability is even greater.
  14. I think that was the 6.0 expansion you saw there.
  15. Would be curious to see how it reacts to Surging Charge as well, but it's hard to test in Warzones. Guessing Surging Charge procs too quickly to break the mezz, but that's just speculation from me.
  16. Absolute numbers don't matter. HPS and DPS are far more accurate measurements. Yes, Operatives can heal more, but your picture doesn't actually even prove it. I could just take a screenshot after playing an Operative and not healing at all and complain how I get out-healed by Assassins using Overcharge Saber. Pretty sure you are either a troll or just don't get how the game works. Edit: As for what I play.. Mostly Assassin and Sorcerer. Powertech and Sniper to a lesser extent. Haven't really touched my Operative in this expansion at all.
  17. Wow, just over 1k HPS and 2k DPS. This would've been amazing in 2.0.
  18. If this happens to you, it's a player problem more than a spec problem. Tanks are more than fine for PvP at the moment.
  19. Didn't know of it either. Those tasty Warzone reward credits must be special somehow.
  20. The bolded part is just untrue. Seen plenty of people like that, including some some PvPers. Luckily the mechanisms for getting rid of them is a lot easier.
  21. The problem was with the extra people going there in the first place instead of letting the Operative sapcap in peace.
  22. You can't get the achievement, so everyone who has it is cheating. Sounds like a legitimate, throughly examined and entirely conclusive argument.
