Is the scoundrel the healer one? As in the offset of the operative?

Ok here is the deal. I've gotten to level 50 playing sorc and now I want to try something else because doing dailies is major BS and boring until the next edition of the game is released. So here is the thing, I have alts and stuff on the imp side, but am sick of running the same planets, doing the same missions and the same crap so I want to try republic. I really love the sorc and love pvping with it and I was thinking of going sage (which is my understanding is the pub version of the sorc). i also love my mercenary for healing and damage so I was wondering if anyone had any advice to a good story line, fun class in the republic side?

I love this because the ammount of times that I drowned at the top of a hill in Vanguard was amazing

It hits us in the middle of our prime time being oceanic. Its a pain the the backside sure, but it has to be done. Eve does it every night, so we ahve something to be thankful for there. Would love it to be a rolling downtime, this means that I could roll an alt on a PVP server when the downtime that is supposed to be for 2 hours goes for longer than 6 as pr usual...

The same could be said for SWG. What an amazing concept. You dont like a class? Train out of it without having to start from square 1 again. Be social, only 1 character per account. Sounds amazing that they got away with it, but even now, years after the NGE and the real death of SWG, people still get misty eyed and a little choked up over it. What an amazing game!

Companions are the best thing since sliced bread. Seriously! If I had one in EQ back in the day (just read the EQ post - nostalgic) I would never have left. Imagine a squishy sorc full spec healer trying to take down a gold. Not gonna happen solo. Give them a companion.. Bam! totally viable. Plus a companion is 100% KOTOR which this game is trying to be. Love the companion.

Actually I dont know if it is a spoiler or something wrong with my game. I am in Corellia but cant pick up any new quests. I understand (and this is the spoiler part) that accoprding to the storyline I am in an ongoing dispute to the death but I have delt with the apprentice and chased him off the first time, but still, when I go to get a quest from anywhere it says "You must complete missions before you can do that" Does this mean I have to complete my story line before I get any quests at all on Corellia? That seems a bit rubbish...
