  1. I played a mDPS concealment operative, and we tested SM. The entire group was geared in 330, with several being augmented. Overall, Kanoth like the rest, were enjoyable but felt very mechanic-heavy compared to other ops. The Nihrot was interesting, but can very easily get out of hand without constant calls to clear it. Difficulty-wise, Kanoth felt good. I think we had zero deaths on him. The Nihrot cleaning and spread were easy enough to learn, but actually putting it into practice was more problematic. Several times we had very aggressive growth due to a lack of clearing, and when it did overtake the majority of the board, it had minimal impact. Perhaps some kind of system message to alert players that Nihrot is spreading could help? Readability was good enough, though the difference between Nihrot and Hardened Nihrot did take a second to see in the dark. Response time and overall pacing felt good, no problems there. However, when Kanoth would disappear and spawn three ghost copies, there was no impact on the fight here. I'm not sure if this is intended or not.
  2. I played a mDPS concealment operative, and we tested SM. The entire group was geared in 330, with several being augmented. Overall it was a fun encounter, but the missiles allow for no margin of error with it being a one-shot,. The Multibeam Array was a very sudden and slightly confusing add considering it can also one-shot. Audio cues like in Dxun could help with the Array. Overall, this was probably the hardest of the three fights, and took us 3 tries until we downed it. Difficulty-wise, I think the damage might be a little too punishing for new players or pugs not familiar with operations. The constant one-shot potential is a lot for SM. The polarity bomb mechanics was easy enough to pick up, though the Ops Lead also gave us a heads up that we needed to buddy up with someone of the same color. I had no trouble with the orange/blue polarity colors. The overall pacing of the mechanics and encounter felt pretty good. aside from the Multibeam Array. Missiles aren't too bad unless players start grouping around each other on the boss, and cause a large pile. I think it's also worth mentioning that we had several deaths (8+) I think, but players were able to release back to the start of the op and go down the elevator again if they weren't in combat. I'm not sure if we would have actually cleared the boss without the stream of players.
  3. I participate in a couple of ops per week, mainly on SM and HM difficulties. Most of them are ops from 3.0 or earlier (So no Gods or Dxun). On PTS I played a concealment DPS operative and tested SM. I think it's also worth noting that all players were geared in 330 from the pier vendor, with several being augmented as well. I'm not sure if it was intended but at about 70-60% HP, all adds, bombs, turrets, wall lasers, and fire tiles stopped spawning. Then the boss continued to fire lasers and repeated a 45-second cast until we downed it. At the start of the encounter, it felt chaotic but enjoyable, though for SM it felt like a lot was being thrown all at once. This may prove overwhelming to any players who may be new to ops and diving in for the first time. Difficulty-wise, it felt more mechanically harder than other ops bosses. But pretty similar to similar Lord Kanoth specifically. The group I joined was able to down it in one go, without voice-chat on SM. However, there were several deaths and we relied on multiple battle rezes to revive players. Damage-wise, the encounter felt good. Nothing super low or super high, the worst was the bomb detonations. Which the healers were able to manage. Adds and the environmental hazards (fire tiles and laser I assume) were constantly mixed together. Our group spread out for the grenades, and I was personally able to avoid most of the fire tiles and wall lasers with the operative roll. I'm not sure about tanking the droids, however, but I believe we had them separate. As for the bombs, I don't think we ever got that mechanic down. We always healed through it. As a mDPS, I felt like I was more focused on adds or moving out of the way than burning the boss. At least until we encountered the repeated 45-second cast.
  4. It's been said in the past, class balancing is hard. And when BW does a nerf or buff based off PvP or PvE metrics it sometimes screws the other. So what I'm suggesting is PvE and PvP specs. So take the Commando class, say you choose Gunnery. You'd have that overall, but each nerf and buff would be exclusive to that spec type. So at 64 with Gunnery/Arsenal you have Supercharged Barrel which adds 3% crit chance to HIB or MP per stack. That would stay as PvE, but in PvP it might change to +1% damage to HIB or +1% heal to MP. When applied to the tree and selectables, BW will have an easier time to balance classes without affecting the two different communities.
  5. Those class missions on Rishi are bugged atm, I believe BW has confirmed it.
  6. Might get flamed for this but the average, or below average SW:Tor play doesn't do this, and then some.
  7. Your trying to use the Double saber as a main hand. The thing is you can only get MH barrels/hilts via Ops or crafting. Looking at the photo you bought a Single blase (Sent?) OH, which would explain why the Double is bound to the OH.
  8. Cross faction stuff of many kinds have been asked for before. Thinking about it, what purpose would it serve to have a cross fac guild. You can't run FPs cross fac, or Ops, you can't even group together. If BW we're to implement something like this, it would be a coding nightmare as almost all gear changes appearance based on the faction your in (take the Resurrected gear for example). Now if BW we're to do cross faction, there would be a lot more coding changes then just gear. Too even accomplish this BW would most likely have to create a 3rd faction, and design all new hubs, and FPs. This doesn't mean that cross faction is impossible, it's just hard and on BW's wall of crazy if I believe.
  9. If you couldn't tell I was being sarcastic. This nerf is completely ridiculous, my HK-51 set to healers stance used to do 16-17k for his big heal, now it's around 4k (and near 3k with all others). You honestly except the average player to be able to solo some of the stuff now? Now I get you'd say "Move out of stupid" or "Use DcDs", well not every class is balanced right (that's different story), while Sorc's have those DMG absorbing bubbles, Commandos are stuck with 25% DMG reduction, and a 4 sec to 40% heal. Plus some bosses do hit harder then others, with some experimenting has revealed that healing is a pointless spec for comps. HK can barely keep up with the Knights on SF (These are gold mobs!), this is even with the buff from the terminal. Aside from all this, lets have a poll to see what the community says. And to see if it will influence BW in any way. http://strawpoll.me/6034735
  10. No SS, nothing is going to the folder, OS is 8.1. Also where are the .ini files I'm not seeing them in the SW:Tor folder. I never installed it so to say. I had a copy on an external drive which I then copied to this computer.
  11. Don't quote me on this but I've heard using the terminal will keep the companions out of the story for good. If you want them to tie into the story I believe you need to wait . And the way I interpret the Nico one is "can I get the alert mission via the comp/contact windows after using the device from the mail". If that is so I believe the answer is no, as you would already have him. Needless too say I don't know is these are true, I'm going off what I've heard. But some BW confirmation would be nice.
  12. I tried it, and I'm still not logging. This is very weird what's going on?
  13. First off, yes I do have combat logging enabled. Now with that aside I don't know why it wont log. I have everything set up, it used to work before I moved SW:Tor too my new machine. Could it be I moved the install via external drive. Any help is welcomed. Thanks if you can help.
  14. Yes there is, it's called the Appearance Modification Station ( I think )
  15. It's stupid that people like me paid $ for the VIP and SE vendor and no decorations we're added to make thing worse the stupid statue for the CE vendor. Come on BW is that the best you got if your someone like me trying to make your Strong Hold a military base a statue doesn't work. And if anyone else noticed that on the swtor homepage on the Second dot that say "Move To Nar Shadda Early" you see 2 blue rep guards by the door any reason we haven't seen them as a buy-able decoration?
  16. This was needed since strongholds came out Comps mannequins are a fail /Signed
