  1. My initial reaction was confusion and mild irritation and that reflects I think in my thoughts in the other threads. However! Now that I've had a bit more time to think about it... Once I moved it to where I wanted it, I was able to get used to it while doing a flashpoint. I figured that I am in no way required to ever expand it, so I need never actually view the advertisements. In that sense, I feel almost like we've been done a favour. It feels like the team had to do something and this was their best option - as jedimasterjac alluded to in the original post. However, I must have enabled moveable secondary windows to move the bar. If I then disable that, the bar in question snaps back to its default position, meaning I have to keep moveable secondary windows enabled. This will be frustrating for a lot of people until it's fixed. As many people have already stated, it can't be modified by the interface editor. No opacity or size options outside of global scaling. That and the chat window cannot seem to be adjusted either? Then there's the scrolling chat issue after clicking on the new bar and finally, the bar doesn't seem to completely match the colour scheme of the rest of the UI either. It seems to stand out more. It felt like an unnecessary and undesired change pretty much across the board, but it's particularly perplexing that it was implemented after what many perceived was overwhelming negative feedback. In that sense, I suppose a lot of of the players feel like they were slapped. While I'd rather it was just put back the way it was, I don't think that's going to happen. If they can address the interface editing problems and other issues, I have no doubt that most people will forget all of this pretty quickly, because they'll never actually expand the bar, as I mentioned above. tl;dnr: Poor reveal, but fixable.
  2. I just came across this one myself too. ^.^ Clicking the new social bar prevents you from being able to scroll through chat until you've specifically clicked on the chat again.
  3. This change seems to be have caused little more than a mix of confusion and frustration all-round. I'm scratching my head trying visualise how a team find their way to the idea to implement this in the first place, let alone complete the multiple-step process of actually getting it into the working game. I don't mean that aggressively at all! I'm sure that the team felt that this was a necessary change, but I just don't understand the logic that lead to that and this being implemented, especially without the option to modify it properly. Why make the decision to change something that was already serving its function perfectly? I have to agree with Xina_LA's post. This just felt rude. It may seem silly, but this is the sort of thing that makes you take a step back and wonder if those who decide to put these things in actually ever use the product that they're putting out. I enjoy purchasing Cartel Coins every so often in addition to my subscription because I enjoy the game. But this just feels almost like the game is trying to take advantage of my goodwill and it's off-putting.
  4. I logged on to find this intrusive tool in the middle-left of my screen. Sure, I could click and drag it to move it around, but that left me with an immediate concern. What's to stop me from doing that accidentally? The purpose of the Interface Editor is to do that sort of thing. Second, I immediately went to the Interface Editor to shrink it and to lower the opacity because I found it distracting. I cannot select it to do any of these things.***** Personally, I really dislike this change, but I suppose that I cannot expect a roll-back on it at this stage. We already have an Activity Finder button attached to the mini-map, so I see no purpose to that link being in the drop down menu. We have a Cartel Market icon, so I see no point in including that there other than as a really obtrusive way to wave in your face a singular item that's on sale? The last is to showcase conquest? Could we not have maybe just had another little widget to click on attached to our mini-map that took us to the Conquest menu? I like to be really happy and positive, but this particular thing that's been implemented just makes no sense to me. It in no way feels like an improvement to me and the fact that I'm unable to so much as customise it just rubs me the wrong way. I'd hoped for better. I'm sorry to be a downer. **** - EDIT: Realised I had enabled secondary windows checked in my Interface Editor. However, I'm still not convinced that this should be a "secondary" window. This change is feels like a perfect case study for the phrase "do not try to fix what is not broken."
  5. Were the Missions fun? Absolutely! They offered up some game-play of a different variety and I'm really glad that they were across three planets. Were the Missions the right length (not too long, not too short)? I thought they were actually a decent length! Were the objectives for each Mission clear? The objective that wasn't immediately obvious for me was the lighting the flares near the stands. I didn't notice the small stands of NPCs scattered throughout the course on the first two runs! I put that down to my own lack of observation though. Which gang's Missions did you like the most? The least? The Horizon Razors were my absolute favourite. It felt speedy and like I was really racing. The Blantent Beks (loved that name, by the way) were still fun, but I felt could benefit from a slightly quicker base speed. The Pit Screamers were good! One or two mishaps where I didn't launch off of a ramp as intended, but I enjoyed it. That bike felt particularly slow, even when I successfully avoided obstacles, but that may be because it's the first one I tried and I didn't immediately realise it was more of an obstacle course. Did each gang's objectives make the course feel a little different? Yes, a lot more than I thought they would! The different bikes were a nice touch, too! Variety is good! Because I was playing alone, I wasn't sure if my destroying (Blantent Beks) targets prevented other players passing through from doing the same. I just imagined having to re-do that a silly number of times if there had been 5 other people coming through at the same time. But I enjoyed this course. Were you able to easily stay on the course? Yep! Did you understand the bike abilities? I thought they were all clear. I was just using the flare at the wrong times and it took me 2-3 laps to go "Ohhhhhh, those stands." But other than, fine! Did the speed of the bike feel good? The Horizon Razors felt good. I thought the other two could be a touch quicker. What did you enjoy the most? What did you dislike? You knocked it out of the park with the Onderon course! I loved it! Really, you did a great job. There's a lot of variety for players and that's much appreciated. It's nice to focus on something that builds on the culture of the world in the game and makes it feel more alive, rather than just fighting more NPCs all of the time. What I really didn't like was the traps on the Tatooine course. I thought it was a good idea to keep each trap in the theme of the planet you were on, but the dust storms were quite subtle and it took me a moment to even work out what kept stopping me because they blended in so seamlessly with the environment in places. That's the only one I would look at. After completing the first three races on Dantooine, my initial thought was "I wish that speed boost was about 2 seconds shorter!" I do hope that you consider adding Manaan in there with Onderon, Tatooine and Dantooine some day. This is a really fun idea for an event and I'm really glad that you took the time and effort to implement it for us.
  6. ScAs the title suggest, despite having everything checked off in the legend, icons are not populating on my map, namely vendors. I could load onto the fleet, everything will appear fine when I first open the map. While moving from A to B, half if not more icons just vanish entirely. 7. An official one would be a good shout! In the mean time, others have tried putting such things together themselves. https://swtorfancommunity.com/guilds/
  8. Hello! There is currently a Speciality Goods vendor on Tython that presents an error message when a player attempts to interact with her: https://i.imgur.com/iRibjXm.jpg Proposal: Since the vendor clearly no longer serves a purpose other than confusing new players who come across her, would it be possible to give her the armour sets you would normally acquire through completing the Tython mission series? I'm referring to the Apprentice Pummeler’s MK-1/2 and Apprentice Force-Lord’s MK-1/2 sets. This would be very handy for people who want to go back and attain those armour sets for cosmetic purposes, including those characters who never would have even had a chance to wear them at all! Of course equivalent vendors on the other starting planets would be terrific too. ^_^
  9. Not entirely convinced that deleted accounts are auto-removed from your ignore list, else I'd not expect to fill it. I count the number of players I've ignored with my fingers. Maybe I just need a change in tactics! Report spam in every instance but don't bother ignoring them after the first one. That'd wind up with multiple reports put spammer. Obviously, the problem is unlikely to ever go away completely, but more recently it seems to be a lot more regular. I've not gotten bored of clicking that button after 8 years, I don't mind doing it still while I'm sat crafting on Tython.
  10. Today I received the titled error after arriving on Tython. I right-clicked and reported the usual selling spammers who popped up in chat and then set them to ignore. Well, some of them, because I can't ignore anyone else! Would it be possible for you to automatically wipe those people's names from our ignore lists once you've taken action against them? Because now after I've sent a spam report, they're still in the general chat for me and that seems a bit naff! It's getting a bit much. https://i.imgur.com/jknKPgY.jpg
  11. Was hoping to find an official planned thing, not this. xD Welp, that's my evening's plans changed.
  12. Hi! I used the companion locator terminal on Odessen to bring back Kira prior to Onslaught. She was a level 50 companion at this point. Since today's patch, I'm grateful to be properly reunited with her after experiencing the bug as my Jedi Knight that prevented me from playing through the alliance alert. However, Kira is now level 1, not level 50. This feels like an oversight that could use addressing, so I thought I'd pass it on. ^_^
  13. Since the 6.0 UI update, cycling between outfits is actually kind of unpleasant. Please consider altering the location of the outfit list from where it is currently docked. Ideally, have the outfits run along the right-hand side of the character sheet so more of them are visible at any one time. If at all possible, please also consider increasing the number of outfits from 16 to 20. Thank you.
  14. I would really enjoy an accept and re-send option, along with a more convenient way to cycle through companion to send. That whole portion of the interface is certainly inefficient.
  15. There will always be people finding a way to do it as fast as possible. When those people hit top tier, they'll move on. It's "Play your way" and that is how they're choosing to play. Ypur own experience does not have to be the same. Do what YOU enjoy and forget what others are doimg with their time. ^_^
  16. We were worried that we'd not hit it after the updates, but we comfortably managed our usual small yield between my partner and I's alts. ^_^
  17. I noticed this today as well. The chat log shows I've received no items and the pop-up for items doesn't appear when I scavenge. Checking my inventory shows no noticeable change, either. When I try the tip of doing it from a mount, I do get the pop-up, but still no chat log and I'm certain no items.
  18. I have completed the Onslaught story-line and met Kira Carsen and Lord Scourge aboard Carrick Station and spoken with them at the Alliance Base on Odessen. Following this, I have not received the Alliance Alerts "The Padawan Returns" or "Wrath Triumphant". Prior to Onslaught, I had used the Companion Locator Terminal on Odessen to return Kira Carsen to me, but not Lord Scourge. I now have neither. Incidentally, I did not receive Jakarro during Onderon and had to play through the content there with no companion as I could not summon an alternative. All of this was experienced while playing as my Jedi Knight class character. I learnt afterwards that this may have happened because I had an open chapter of Knights of the Eternal Throne. I'd have abandoned it, but we're not allowed to do that despite it being repeatable content, so I quickly ran through a chapter to get rid of it. It's just disappointing that I gave in after waiting over a year to use the terminal to return Kira Carsen as my companion and then when she's formally re-introduced, she's been removed from my game entirely on my primary character. So that's no Jakarro, no Scourage and no Kira for me.
  19. Hello! Apologies if I've overlooked an existing explanation for this. The combat proficiency "Preparation", which is under the "Masterful" category has the following description: "When you exit combat, the active cooldowns of Force Leap, Combat Focus and Saber Throw are reduced by 100%." Since 6.0's launch, I've been unable to leap straight into the next group of enemies after combat. I'm still stuck waiting on a cooldown. I've abandoned by discipline and re-applied it to no avail. Assistance or education on this would be appreciated. Thank you!
  20. Thank you for keeping us posted! ^.^
  21. But... Cademimu's the one my partner and I like to default to because it's so straight-forward and low-pressure. o.O Never be afraid to ask others for help walking you through it. Plenty of guilds will teach you mechanics. ^.^
  22. That's a really good catch! That could have been a huge pain down the line.
  23. Hi! When using the "Lacerate" ability on a Sith Assassin, a wardrobe malfunction occurs on the Tribal Champion's Armor Set. Specifically, the cape winds up being back-to-front. Video demonstration!
