  1. Hi, new player here. I have a question regarding how Synthweavers go about getting augment recipes. I bought a few off the gtn and made several of the green level to discover a blue augment, but iirc it was the same level... 22 I think. How do people get the level 26 and 27 augment recipes I see in chat all the time? Does one need to buy a few green level 26 augments to re-engineer up to blue then purple? Gtn didn't have anything higher than 22 for recipes, though quite a few lower level ones. I have 400 synthweaving, archaeology and underworld trading. Thanks for any help.
  2. You can get two level 20 implants and ear from the pvp vendor. The implants are not unique equip so you can double up. I saw in chat there is some droid bot a level 50 can drop where one can purchase droid gear, but idk what level or price.
  3. I also didn't understand the orange gear at first. It can be cheaper to scavenge orange gear than buying off the gtn. For example I scavenged a crystal from a gun to fit in my saber. Ditto duplicate orange gear from flashpoints, check to see if the insides can be used to upgrade other gear. The commendations that drop from the various flashpoints have level related vendors that sell mods and such you can place in this orange gear. Now I just need to find some decent looking gear, I have a very gay looking head piece that at least looks a thousand times better than that nun hat I was last blessed with, lol.
  4. It's a pvp thing, you wouldn't understand.
  5. I think there's an acceptable level of sacrifice one is able to make when determining what level of f2p is cheaper than a subscription. The biggest drawback for the game is the substandard features it provides, in general.
  6. Here's an idea: if you are so scared of the pvp pixels, don't try and get the HK-51. Simple!
  7. Yeah I installed to my secondary hard drive, which could just as easily be usb for you. Though I do love the thread title.
  8. Buy pvp medpacks and sell them to level 50s via /1. Quick 99,000 right there. Underworld Trading metals sell like hot cakes too. I'm level 32 and on my second week with the game and have made roughly 800k. Fabric sells dirt cheap in comparison. Artifacts and power crystals from archaeology sell well too. Don't worry about underbidding the next person, just get it close. It seems the demand is so great that people will buy yours eventually. By and far the easiest money are the medpacks, especially if you enjoy pvp.
  9. People must love this game because it truly is different in a stone age kind of way.
  10. This Rakata gear is the same as we can craft through Synthweaving? Granted it's only two pieces, the waist and wrists iirc, but seems to be nice and purrple.
  11. I'm still rocking ddr2 ram and a gtx260. The game looks fine to me.
  12. After two hours of drinking, I'm thinking he's confusing the toaster oven with the computer.
  13. I still have to get out and explore. Too easy to sit in fleet and level profs while leveling through fp and wz.
  14. Nothing new here, just my observation that as a new player you should pvp like mad for the easy money. Buy the pvp medpacks from the pvp vendor and sell them to 50s for 1k each. They gladly pay it because they're saving their commendations for gear. I think level 38 would be the latest to wait before saving up to buy the conversion marks at 40. With the current comm cap of 2000, don't waste your warzones at cap. 99k is nice money for a noob.
  15. For me it feels like the focus is on f2p, so then why subscribe? May as well just stop paying the monthly fee and join the crowd.
  16. As a new subscriber I have to say all this f2p talk seems like an ominous cloud lurking in the distance.

  19. Someone mentioned in another thread making significantly more wz comms with their dps versus as a healer. Are dps generally rewarded more than healers, not counting wz objectives? -will do, thanks for the tips
  20. Do absorbs get counted as heals by the in-game system?
  21. You can get two implants and an ear at level 20 from the pvp vendor. As well you can buy your companion their flavor of those. I didn't quite understand the advice of keeping your valor level the same as your char level, but it seems to be working well. You even get some money after each warzone, which is handy for making a quick buck.
  22. Some people could care less about objectives and enjoy playing the game as they see fit. Add in new players and people that don't read chat. Doesn't seem smart to keep rolling pugs and getting mad.
  23. So legacy... does this mean once you've reached level 50 on one toon? Or is it the completion of that toon's class quests, presumably at 50? The tokens are given to the 50 as such reward, or given to each alt automatically on creation?
  24. Well they're both easy to replace and if you've opened the case, you're already in the minority as most treat computers like a kitchen appliance.
