  1. I know people hate the L2P posts but honestly the more matches you play =ship req and fleet req which then = upgrades and new ships. As you progress you learn your strengths and weaknesses and what ship fits your play style. Once this occurs you will notice you gain more kills and contribute more. Yes some ships have strong abilities but there are counters to these such as EMP and scouts destroy GS pretty easily. Speed is your friend in that fight honestly it's not hard to kill them especially if you can harass them till another pilot shows up.
  2. How about instead of self destructing they allow us to suicide bomb other players to even the odds. The ought history and lore this has always been a crazy but valid tactic. Sith/imperial pilots are suicidal lol so sacrificing yourself when defeat is imminent to kill the other player should be a valid option. Right now we fly right into each other like we aren't physical ships. Lore wise suicide runs should be a valid tactic incorporated into GSF and it should have an achievement attached to it, this would give noob players a better chance at face to face dogfighting. Besides what imperial pilot wouldn't love flying their scout into an enemy ace face to face and showing them that despite your upgrades head on collisions are not survivable. So pls Bioware pls.. Allow us the ability to ram each other for even kills.
  3. I'll take you for your word, I've seen it in action unfortunately I need to farm rep to get that upgraded.
  4. I enjoyed it as well, it seems like heaven sent for scout players!!! I love hunting bombers and gunships especially with sensor dampening they never see me coming! On a side note unfortunately for whatever reason after all the matches I have played today 20 at least I only got 2 death match modes....what's up with that Bioware?
  5. So more like support roles for each type of fighter?
  6. Bumping due to info related to 3rd (variants) that are sitting in the GSF deck on fleets.
  7. What about the scout version in the imperial hangar then?
  8. I feel you, just like my Imperial Blackbolt doesn't have the extended foils it is supposed to have. Plus the GSF deck shows it having them..... False advertising on EA's part.
  9. Overall yes groups that are maxed out are annoying as they could ever be. The biggest issue that I have is when I decide to stay despite valiant efforts for kills, obj captures, drones etc you will get a whopping total of around 200 req. that is why I quit now. If during this fights we at least for a minimum of 500 for staying it wouldn't be so bad. Once I got my sting I've done a lot better since I have the best of both worlds and dish a little more damage (not a fan of GS or SF). Hopefully things will dwindle down in the next few days but who knows. I'd prefer a solo option that strictly puts all players in solo not against groups. That is the only way to minimize the problem.
  10. I honestly don't know if this has been discussed or not, I do not enjoy bringing up or comparing old games like SWG. By far I really enjoy TOR. I was curious though: my favorite aspect has always been open world space like SWG had. Buying ships, customizing, and bringing glory to our factions. Plenty of good ideas with faction quest line regardless of class and the ability to purchase star fighters strictly for squad/fighter wing operations. GSF is a nice step in right direction but I would think some would prefer open world space over arena style matches. This is just a suggestion and I would love player feedback good or bad. Community input is always welcome.
  11. My only issue with the mask is the lack of rep to gain it now. I farmed credits to purchase packs for rep to get the mask for about a week. I acquired 6 packs per toon per day and still only reached newcomer standing. It would have been much cheaper to buy the mask at the time (6mil) but I figured having having legend standing would have been better in the long run. Of course now getting rep is a lot harder and the only thing many want from the revan outfit is the mask. It's of mandalorian design so it works well with PTs or SWs IMO. If it was in its own cartel collection block like the eradicator mask I would be much happier but of course who knows if that will ever happen. 12mil is steep but remember, if you get it as the cartel item it goes towards collections. *disgruntled SW player who is still trying to get that mask*
  12. As my AP spec PT I tend to do very well with a fully geared torian. I burn threw mobs pretty quick you just have to spend 2 seconds healing after but that isn't a issue with me. Gualt is also very useful if he is geared.
  13. If you enjoy soloing a lot I'd suggest re spec to AP or ST. Focus your mods on defense and absorption. I'm no expert or professional but it has worked well for me.
  14. IMO for good well rounded PvP PT I tend to go AP spec. It has good DPS without sacrificing to much defense. Spam vibroblade, flame burst, and flamethrower all day long. I've gotten a lot of good kills and you can still cover a healer to boost your points and they can keep you in the fight. The best way to find out for yourself is just play around with each play style. Get used to a good combination of spam attacks and see how you do.
  15. Well I'll be honest, lvl 48 PT spec AP and I tend to que up as TNK or DPS. I know the spec trees are different but I usually keep my toon geared with high endurance and absorption stats. Majority of the time we do very well but I did have one person who knew I wasn't spec correctly and asked. I just kinda laughed but I knew they were right. During lower lvl FPs I don't find it much of a problem but once you hit max and move for HMs you need to be in your specified tree. I think most issues come from those stubborn players who refuse to take advice when it is offered. In my experience most players are very genuine/mentoring when they give advice. I have never understood why people get offended in this game when they are corrected. DPS does tend to be a problem considering I used to play a Mara and yes I thought I was king of the world...boy was I wrong. It's nice to have a guild of professionals though who can help you learn the correct way to play at max lvl.
  16. I agree with this^ My BH only follows his code of honor and money, sometimes it involves killing people to get my paycheck which is not a problem, but occasionally there is a line where i will let them go... usually not. Now my SW is another story, he is the true definition of a Sith within the Empire, who kills all who defy him, makes choices (even LS ones) that benefit the Empire, and seeks his own ambition; My guy is not Blood Thirsty he just has bigger ambitions than to go looking for people to cut up. Overall I have come across some decisions i felt were mixed up in their alignment or further implications of your decision should be considered. Nar shadda is a prime example, I used the guys for my own ambition technically both of those were DS neither of them Light. Morality in TOR logic is =Kill people bad, let people live good. Thats basically all it is and that's what grinds my gears about this**
