  1. Ive been playing since launch and never seen this before... I can't find any info in Google regarding it...

    How can a stun actually miss, like you can with dps abilities, ie you get combat text to say you missed and it is also in your log... And the player doesn't have full resolve or buffs up to negate a stun and you both have 2018 expertise

    I can't ever remember this happening to me before, which is why I've never investigated it or asked anyone before...

    Is this actually possible??... Has there been a change to accuracy... ??

    Its only happened in one match and only a few times in the match a week ago... I've been keeping a close eye to see if it happens again, but it hasn't...

    People Ive asked says its not possible... Anyone else know any different

  2. I'm starting to get to that point of: "What's the point?"

     

    PvP hasn't had any new maps of game modes in years. Class balance is a joke. Every arena consists of 50% minimum of the same AC. This community is so small that everyone practically knows each other. The forums consist of the same threads by the same posters on just a different day ending in 'y'. We argue and bicker about what's balanced, what's not balanced, what's OP, what's UP, how casual PvPers don't matter, how ranked doesn't matter except 4s, how terrible class balance is, how mercs suck, how sins are OP, how snipers need survivabilty, the same posts just on different days.

     

    Ingame is the same players trash talking others, streams consist of the same forum drama just in a different setting. All this sameness for what? No updates to PvP in 1 1/2 year, no updates planned for the new expansion, no communication from the Devs despite our pleas.

     

    I've personally just given up on PvP. I'm honestly just thinking of turning in to a casual who only plays for story. Maybe then I'll be able to enjoy this game that BW is pushing to be more of a single player RPG.

    Are they ever going to tone down the massive amounts of AOE CC in this game? Whatever I guess, maybe I am the only one that gets frustrated.

  4. Ranked will be fine. Shadowland's ranked will die off in less than a month and everything will return to the way it was.

     

    Seriously this has all happened before, it will end the same way it always does.

  6. I've noticed this since 3.0 but I don't think it's really a bug. If I understand correctly what you are trying to say, then I believe there are certain scenarios that can cause that:

     

     

    • When your primary targets dies, from a dot damage or something else, before Chain Lightning travels to it, then Chain Lightning goes on cooldown but the instant buff is kept.
    • When you hit someone who has a force immunity, like assassin's shroud or concealment's rolldodge, then chain lightning goes on cooldown but the instant cast proc buff is kept.

     

     

    I've never actually noticed whether that proc is still displayed on my buff bar or not in those scenarios, but I am pretty sure the next chain lightning is still an insta proc if the buff does not wear off. The idea here is if your Chain Lightning does not do actual damage, then the buff is kept for the full duration

     

     

    For your particular case, my guess is that some weird bug is going on but you actually obtained the buff, through either thundering blast, lightning strike or force storm, and chain lightning is cast but never traveled to the targets to make the killing blow, in which case you are out of combat and the buff is seemingly "consumed". If that is not the cast, then you just earned a Nobel Prize of Bug Report

  7. Just a warning, Harbinger is a notoriously flighty server. I really fear that most of the community will be on there by next week. Besides the connection issues, the Republic will lose any and all competitiveness it once had. Which paradoxically will lead to lower population over time.

     

    Sigh.... I guess I better start that Madness Sorc to mirror my Balance Sage. :(

     

    I played on most of the servers, TOFN, Bastion and POT5 gives the best impression, despite POT5's ridiculous low population and Bastion's notorious gen chat trash talk. The quality there is very good! Scrubbinger, on the other hand, gives me some traumatizing memory that still haunts me.

     

    I had one ranked on scrubbinger where it was me playing a sorc and 3 veng jugg on my team. They told me to wait and "let them come to us".

     

    3 veng jugg said "let them come to us" on an orbital station...

    I feel your pain. These 2 rigs are monsters to SWTOR. Over built but will run the game for years to come.

    3.0 I noticed when I came back from deployment killed performance when the UI was on. With it off things are great. Generally I'm running 110 FPS but in a WZ it drops down quite a it no matter how I adjust the settings.

     

    Would a game engine upgrade fix issues? Well, which engine will work best for the end user while being worth while to mod, edit, import current game files into the new game engine?

     

    Funcom went through this when it updated Anarchy Online to a new graphic engine.

     

    Currently playing at 1440 and 1080 but would be interested in 4k but need a faster GPU for that. Plus I want more than

    60 hz monitor. I'm loving 110hz on my overclocked Qnix 27"

     

    Give me a 144hz true 4k monitor at 34" wide screen and I'd be happy.

  9. My suggestion: Let heal stay as is if the healer is healing himself, to ensure that healers are able to defend themselves and don't get easily farmed. But please reduce HPS on other targets. Nothing too drastical, just a bit.

     

    Heal is not OP tank guard swap is.

  10. Personally preferring a 22% crit scenario with higher alacrity (6.5%). My surge is only 68% but I put out top DPS every match so... I guess its working?

     

    Sorcs should always sit high in leaderboard since the hatred nerf. How much dmg per sec do you usually hit with that build?

  11. I am seeking ideas since the ling sorc dps guide on dulfy hasn't been updated since 12/18. So far I've been enjoying the 25% crit chance sweet spot in all scenarios, but has anyone found a new or a better crit rating spot since 3.2 doouble proc nerf (especially for ranked pvp)? Please share your ideas
  12. Maybe later on but not right now. One of the servers I play on, for example, have like a total of 2 tanks. If OP is enforced then we would all wait till said 2 tanks to log on to get any pops.

     

    With that being said, even if queue pop increases, but don't force queue to pop like that. Guard is wildly overpowered and T-D-H comp in ranked should just be gone or revised by redesigning guard mechanism.

  13. It's a great idea. Valor should not give gears that have better stats, but I'd love to see some rep items that looks very cool to reward me for playing one toon for a long time!
