  1. 2 Piece: I think this is perfectly fine. Leave this as it is.

4 Piece: I'm not so sure about this one... I know there are a lot of aggro drops in this tier of operations, however, Taunts are not used "rotationally" ideally. So, this can be fixed, I personally would like to see the old 2 piece back.

6 Piece: I think this is underwhelming, but combined with our old 2 Piece (or new 4 piece, if by some miracle my suggestion happens), I don't think it would be so underwhelming.

  2. Well, I wish this thread was a little less toxic. The combat team has asked a question, it is up to you if you want to answer it, but blaming Bioware and saying "Just fix Watchman already" and "You're gonna ignore us" is counterproductive. Anyways.... my thoughts...

2 Piece: This is actually pretty decent, I think this can be left as is.

4 Piece: This is kind of different in my opinion, because if my memory serves me correctly, this is very similar to our old 4 piece, minus the cool down reduction on Valorous Call, which is no longer there.

6 Piece: This is where the work is needed, in my honest opinion. The Auto Crit, is not particularly amazing for any Sentinel spec. In fact, it's terrible for Watchman. Merciless Slash is used every six seconds in Watchman, that's around 10 every minute.... 1 Crit out of 10 is not that big... especially when RNG can give that to you. For Concentration, It gives you a nice pretty number on your Concentrated Slice, but that's the only perk. For Combat, you get a nice Precision window, but once again, 1 Crit once only every minute, and one that you may get anyway, seems kind of underwhelming to me.

I can honestly suggest making the old 2 Piece Set Bonus the new 6 Piece. Why? Each Sentinel Discipline makes heavy use of Master Strike. While it doesn't hit as hard as it used to, it's still a heavy damaging ability, and for Watchman, gives us a Focus neutral or Focus positive filler that we can use on cool down. Since Master Strike is very very important to Sentinels, I think a damage boost to it would do wonders.

  3. The Revas Colonial Alliance will be staying put. Some of us will probably use a free 60 elsewhere, but, we aren't going anywhere.

Also, in regards to progression dying with DH, OC, and DWBI being gone...there is no truth to that. Perhaps the speed of progression wont be the same, but that is neither here nor there.

If it's progression you want, those three guilds are not the only options. :) So do not fret about progression. BC will be just fine.

Now, 'scuse me while I go continue progression without DH/OC/DWBI. <3

    Very much this :)

  4. I think It's a Secret would be perfect for you :) We have a growing player base, that is leveling and/or wanting to get into ops, and I myself know how to play most specs in the game :) We have a bunch of friendly and helpful people in the guild, and we even have a person who helps gear you while leveling :D We are mainly a Republic guid, with an Empire guild too :) We're a bit eccentric, but we are fun people, and a family. If you are interested in joining the family, send a mail to Ahzhihod in game :)
  5. The second boss in Korriban Incursion HM, while a challenge with a few neat added mechanics, seems to be too demanding for dps in the minimum required gear. The soft enrage is not survivable for more than a few seconds, and often times, this soft enrage will happen at greater than 20% health, meaning a wipe will occur. Now, while certain specs and geared people will have no problem with this DPS requirement, people just in 186 gear will have a hard time meeting this requirement, and thus, have a hard time progressing through the flashpoint. Thus, I suggest that the Extinction Mode ability be activated 30-45 seconds later than it is currently. This will have no bearing on well geared people, but will make it easier for groups that just want to get the flashpoint done to get their commendations. Also, even a nerf of just 20 seconds might make a difference. :D
  6. Well with how disciplines are now easy to balance, I do think Balance/Madness is going to be looked at in 3.1. Alongside the overperformers (IO/Assault, Tactics/AP, maybe concealment/scrapper) and other possible underperformers (Gunnery/Arsenal)

Would taking the 25% gimp off of Force Lightning do anything drastic? Or incorporating Leach into Wrath?

  8. Looking for that elusive emote to complete your collection? Well, look no further. I have a Beach Party Emote that I am looking to sell, so you can party like a Kennedy on Corellia :) My asking price is 5 million, but I am open to bargaining. Comment on here or send a whisper or mail to my characters Ahzhihod (Republic) or Validar (Imperial) :)
  9. Hello, all, my fellow players :) I have recently acquired a Dwedtoof pet, and I am looking to sell it :) So, if anyone is looking for or is interested in this pet, let me know on this thread, or contact me in-game on my toons Ahzhihod (Pub side) or Validar (Imp side, dat Fire Emblem). So, if anyone is looking for an bloodthirsty infant Drouk, let me know :D. I am also willing to bargain no the price a bit, I'm flexible :)
  10. Please remove Republic Elite from the list, and replace it with It's a Secret. The reason for this is because due to irreconcilable differences between the Guild's council, the Guild's most active leadership has formed a new guild, called... It's a Secret, no joke ;D

    Republic Guild

    Casual PvE/Social

  11. Because stance switching is a thing. You pop Potency in Shadow Technique and then swap back to Combat Technique, and get a double blast from your first Breach for a surprising amount of burst. Potent Shadows, used for the explained reason, and Circling Shadows, which has a large part of it not just restricted to Shadow Technique, are the only 2 talents that require Shadow Technique at all. Everything else is done back in Combat Technique. Also, Shadowy Veil wouldn't work in Combat Technique, read it again.

What I would be curious about, if I were you, is if the extra 20% Force Regen is important enough to forgo another extremely powerful DCD in Battle Readiness, which is arguably a full tank's strongest DCD.

You know what, you're right, did not think of that. Impact Control > One With The Force

  12. What confuses me about the spec you've shown is that it goes out of its way to include skills that only work when Shadow Technique is active when you specifically talk about Particle Acceleration which only works when Combat Technique is active.

If this is a Kinetic hybrid then you must be running Combat Technique so why spend so many points taking Potent Shadows which would do nothing for you at the expense of things like Shadowy Veil?

You run Combat Technique in this, and in no way is my build optimal, just a template. And Potent Shadows = filler and you can lower FP cool down by re stealthing. Yes, it is confusing, but it works.

  13. What is the hybrid spec these days?

Something like this is popular. Basically, you lose a bit of control, but you get a lot more active survival in PvP. You'd run dps gear in this spec, with a shield. You'd basically want to be keeping Particle Acceleration going to keep that Kinetic Field up, and you also has the neat perk of some AoE damage reduction, which is pretty big in ranked. You also get Infiltration Tactics for some extra burst, and you have a lot of burst. Still want to be tossing guard and taunts around, but you have some dps capability, like VG tanks do, and Guardians do (they run Vigilance spec in soresu a lot). Not to mention you can pop Blackout. You basically can confuse the crap out of people who don't know what this spec does and absolutely tear into people.

  14. Yes. I've had some good success with the spec in ranked, and while it may be more indicative of my familiarity of the class rather than the potency of the spec itself, I still think it is great. You may get knocked around some, but you still have great control and utility, plus that Resilience. Plus, hybrids are popping up in ranked that are pretty crazy ;D But either I still think it's great :D
  15. At this point, I don't know that there's that much more to be said. We've seen suggestions for just about everything. Some good, some bad (some really, really dumb), but we've given the devs a lot of reading if they want to try to get the Community's opinion on things.

And some keyboard battles along the way D:

  16. Deception is fine as is in PVP. On demand burst that hits pretty hard, though with little sustained damage as a consequence. Honestly? That's fine.

To paraphrase something KBN said that was excellent was that Assassin tanks were somewhat rebalanced. They got better at something they were bad at, and worse at something they were fantastic at. Without a shift in the metagame, though, we only really see the nerf side of the rebalancing. Hopefully, whatever the devs come up with in PVP as a way to make tanks useful works equally well for all tanks.

Also, lots of people want to see Maul back in Madness.

Then I think we have pretty much everything covered! :) I as a Tank like where I am now, but I would like to see the dps get some. However, since I only know the basics of playing the two dps specs (gearing and rotation) I would have little to contribute to that side of the fence :/

  17. Self healing on Kinetic Ward would defeat the purpose of removing self heals. They would add reactive self heals back rotationally, which was why we were spiky, and why we got changed in the first place. There have been suggestions to see a heal added to Recklessness + Force Lightning, but it's not very well planned out now, and almost certainly won't even get a mention because of that. There have also been a lot of other bad suggestions. The Dark Protection buff timer has been discussed, though, and made it into the feedback section, as it's not as pressing as the 3 issues that were selected as the questions.

Okay. I don't particularly miss the self healing while I'm raiding with my guild, but in PvP it's a double edged sword. I do both, but I love the class either way. However, there is something else. I do think that they should change Clairvoyant Strike to the way it was pre-2.0, as well as Discharge. I think it would help Infiltration a lot, however, I have low experience with the spec, and have little idea how it would affect it in PvE (I know it would be a PvP boost). Also, I would like to see Shadow Strike in Balance's rotation. Double Strike spam is boring, but a Shadow Strike in the mix would make it more interesting.
