Holy heck, you're totally right. That explains so much! I feel so dumb for not seeing it before. The story 'launch' option states that it is story mode, but when I open my mission log, it is permanently stuck on Veteran. Booooooooo. Thank you for pointing that out because I was seriously baffled at what was going on.

This is seriously freaking ridiculous. I have tried every little thing you could think of with my marauder and it's not working. They seriously screwed up on this fight. As someone said above me, it is basically impossible for some classes. I shouldn't be blowing through my credits fixing my gear because bio decided to throw a baffling veteran-level fight into story mode. If we wanted this level of difficulty, we'd set our story progression to veteran. This needs to be fixed. At least give us a freaking companion of some sort for heals. AT LEAST.

Yeah, I'm pretty effing livid at this fight. I'm a casual player who really plays more for the story progression and character creation.... I'm not an amazingly skilled player who tweaks this **** easily. I've been trying to beat this ****** for the past hour and a half and I'm just gamer raging like no one's business. This is extremely frustrating as the level of coordination and skill required to win this battle seems beyond my current abilities lol I haven't had an issue like this the entire game and I am very disappointed that I seem to be now stuck after ALL this god damn time... Really just very, very disappointing.

Good point! Haha yeah that's why I think it's so subjective because I think the companions' likeability really depend on who you're playing.... However, Andronikos and Vette just can't seem to do it for me. They drive me crazy but I know so many people who like them and hate my faves (Jorgan, Vector, 4X). I like that they've made it so easy for your faves to tag along at your discretion, though, because now we aren't stuck with a companion you hate just because their specs are best for you.

This is tough because it's so subjective... Overall likeability I would say has to go to the Trooper set with my least favorite of the bunch being Vik.... But even then I probably only get fed up with him because my Trooper was so self righteous and he was the worst companion for that lol Jorgan is probably my favourite companion in the game but I really just like the whole Havoc team. I love the IA set, too, but Kaliyo drives me nuts sometimes. Worst set (for me) has to be SI.... So gosh darn random and Andronikos is the worst romance in the game in my opinion..... Not a realistic fit for a SI....
