  1. So I was sitting around crafting on Dromund Kass, and I was just chatting with other players when the someone asked if any new races were confirmed. People told him that Togruta (Ashoka Tano's race) was coming in later in the year, which spawned a conversation about which other races would be possible to add. I present these for the consideration of the forums, or to rip apart and tell me why this doesn't work. (also I am googling the names of the races, so forgive any errors, they aren't mine) 1 - Nautolan e.g. Bengel Morr (from the Jedi Knight Tython story) This is a personal request, even since I first saw this race, I've loved the look of them, would love to play as one. 2 - Kaleesh e.g. General Grevious Suggested by chat as a playable race, mostly because it would look good as a Sith warrior 3 - Jawa Yeah I know, this one was near unanimous though, people really want a Jawa as a playable character, no idea if it's possible, even less idea of how it would work, but given there are in fact force-sensitive Jawa, it would be an interesting race to play as. C'mon, you know you love them. 4 - Gungan e.g. Jar Jar Binks A bizarre request from chat, with plenty jokingly suggesting Gungan Characters are forcibly flagged for PVP, but an interesting idea nonetheless. Gungan could be possible as a trooper and having them as a race, would open the possibility to visit that underwater city. 5 - Rodians (the race that looks like flies) Not gonna lie here, don't want Rodians, they creep me out, but chat wanted them, so I'll put them here. People were also discussing the possibility of playing as Lucent (apparently a form of spider), Yoda's race, Tuskans (sand people from Tattoine), reviving the Pureblood Sith (as opposed to the "pure"bloods we have now), and someone mentioned wanting to play as whatever race the bounty hunter in Kaas City is (the red skinned one with two horns that looks vaguely demonic). That was about all the suggestions I saw, my personal ones are the Nautolans and Jawa. I love both these races, and would love to play as them. I know adding races is a tricky business, however, people really want the amount of races expanded, and I'm not gonna lie, I would love some more alien races to play as.
  2. Definitely. Even if just the cosmetic one go through, it'll still be cool to play, simply because my character will look awesome. I want the "warp to group member" because it is ridiculous to waste 30 minutes of game time standing around waiting, and I would love to play as a suave smuggler who gets slapped for flirting with the wrong person. But the one I really want is the starship customization. Imagine walking into the ship being greeted by trophies on the wall, or elaborate paintings you've purchased, or even something as simple as differently coloured and textured walls or floor. What makes coming home is the fact that you have a sense of "this is mine, I made it this way". In this game there is no sense of that when returning to a starship. I don't know much about programming, but I would imagine this would be a huge things to program. However I believe it is a thing that must be done, if only to continue expanding the customization options that is at the heart of MMORPGs.
  3. Love these. Although technically you can sit in the chairs in the cockpit of your starship. And I agree, we do need an overhaul of the legacy system, because as of now, it's a lot of work for so little reward.
  4. Thanks:D:D:D It took ages to write it all out. I do hope that these ideas get implemented in some form or another.
  5. I know this is a long post, but please bear with me. I have several suggestions to improve this game. I welcome open discussion and constructive criticism. Suggestion 1 Khem Val likes killing force users. So why not make him gain affection when the Inquisitor kills force users. I don't mean any force user, I just mean named ones, such as Darth Paladius. Suggestion 2 The last time I formed a group I was waiting for over 30 minutes for my group members to get to my location. (We were doing one of my Inquisitor missions.) We need a command, ability or item, that allows people to warp to their fellow group members. Suggestion 3 I have to continuously memorize the values of my companions equipment values anytime I want to change them. This is because when you hover over a piece of equipment, the only values shown are the equipment on your own character, regardless of if your on your companions screen. Suggestion 4 The skill in the Madness skill tree for the Sith Sorcerer, imaginatively named Madness (which eliminates cooldown on Force Lightning) Would be more suited to the Lightning skill tree. It could replace Exsagnuinate (which increases the duration of Affliction). Suggestion 5 In various areas of Nar Shaddaa their are civilians which can be attacked and killed. I think it would be better if you got Dark Side Points for this act as they are defenseless civilians which can be killed easily. Even if it just 1 or 2 points it would reflect the decision you made to slaughter innocents. Suggestion 6 The Ability to use equal or lower leveled characters as companions. This would not only allow people to level under leveled characters, (which is a big problem for me as a soloist, let me tell ya), but allow greater Legacy integration, with companions strength and abilities possibly changing due to the familial relations. (Allies will have stronger skills, Father and son teams will have higher endurance, etc). Suggestion 7 This one is a big problem for me. The lack of same sex flirt options. This should be implemented, especially since the lack of same sex flirt options, or indeed same sex romance options, alienated those who are homosexual. Suggestion 8 Backwards held lightsabers. I know this would require a massive overhauls of the combat animations, so read before making that argument. I recommend that you can have you character hold their lightsabers backwards while standing still and moving, but when entering combat, the lightsaber moves (whether through an animation or just warps) into the normal holding position. This suggestion would serve no purpose but to look cool, and add to character customization. Suggestion 9 Lightsaber crystal colours. I think there should be new colours. Specifically I think there should be an all black crystal, and an all white/silver crystal. The lore for them could be something along the lines that they are the dark and light side (respectively) of the force made into a physical object. They could be either given, bought or earned when you get to the maximum light or dark side of the force. Sort of an accomplishment. Once again, this suggestion has no other purpose than to look cool. Suggestion 10 This one is about auras. As you gain dark or light side points, you gain an aura. This can be used to look cool, or can be a buff, giving you a bonus to damage, (for the destructive potential of the dark side) or defense (for the light side never budges in its protection of people). It would allow people to look even cooler, especially at end game. Suggestion 11 Adding minigames. This is important, especially for people that don't like raiding or operations, and frankly don't want to go to all the trouble of raising and maxing out yet another character. Minigames could include: Pazaak - I never played pazaak when I played the single player games, but it would be a cool idea, as many people did, and enjoyed it immensely. 1 on 1 Fights - Think an arena. Whether against players or against NPCs it would be an interesting idea. Speeder/ Swoop/Pod races - I remember hearing that some guilds organised speeder races. It would be an awesome idea to implement. You could own race specific speeders, and upgrade them, with speed, acceleration and weapon upgrades. I don't really know. I just think it would be an awesome idea. Starship Battles - I remember hearing that this game had starship battle in it, and I got really excited. Then I played the rail-style battles and felt severely underwhelmed. It would be awesome to have space battles similar to the ones in Star Wars: Battlefront II. Suggestion 12 Starship customization. This one is very important for me since I believe that customization is at the heart of all MMOs. I think it would be a great idea to have the ability to customise both the interior and exterior of your starship. I think it would be cool to have the ability to hang banners, or put trophies of kills or lightsabers taken from important enemies on the wall. Even something as small as choosing the paint or wallpaper or carpeting of your ship, would make it feel more organic and give a new level of depth to the game. You could even have competitions to judge the best ship.
  6. I agree with all of these. And some of these would be simple to implement.
  7. Seconded. A players ship should reflect their personality. Even if no-one else sees it, it would be nice to return to a place you customized. That's why coming home after a holiday is so satisfying, you always have a sense that this is yours. SW: TOR lacks that aspect. I know its more about the characters and the story than about the customizing, however it would be nice, to have something you created yourself.
  8. Agreed. This is something that should be implemented.
  9. I thought of that, however the prices are already crazy. I have a Sith Marauder, with Artifice, and all throughout my game, I have had to constantly manage my credit use, and several times have almost run out of money completely just trying to keep up with the improvements and repairs necessary to not die while fighting enemies at my level. And often it hasn't been enough, because my gear is sub-standard to what is demanded at my level. The current level of credits received is ridiculous, with the high price of speeder (and other modes of paid transport) especially at higher level worlds, the insane cost of crew skills (seriously 1K for a 10 minute mission when it took me 30 minutes to complete the quest to get that) and the low selling price of loot, the current level of received credits is insanely unbalanced.
  10. 1 - If you have your weapons drawn, enemies will attack you in a wider range. e.g. If enemies can detect and attack you at 5 meters with your weapon sheathed, with it drawn they will detect you at 8 meters. 2 - More credits. I've said this before but I do feel more credits is necessary. On Dromund Kaas you break the Revanites, help stop several important experiments that would damage the Empire, and you barely get anything. A few thousand credits is all. You would think that you'd get more for doing such important work. 3 - Stat changes for companions in accordance with actions. If you are a violent person in the game, your companions would get increases to damage stats like strength. If you die a lot their HP or defense would increase. This would give your actions more meaning. 4 - Visual Dark/Light changes. I think it would be cool if your alignment affected you appearance more significantly. Imagine your high dark side character having cracked features and glowing eyes (like full renegade commander shepard). 5 - Red lightsaber crystals In every documentation I have read (including the codex in the game itself) it was stated that Sith use artificial crystals, that don't use naturally formed materials like the Jedi do. However you can still find red crystals of all sorts scattered throughout the worlds. I think there should be a mission in Archaeology that gives red crystals (with the appropriate grades of course). While these are small things, they would greatly add to the overall atmosphere of the game, making it that much more entertaining for all players.
  11. /signed I love this idea. I would love it even more if you could use ANY character of equal or lower level.
  12. Class Alignment Consequences Allegiance Shift Cheaper Crew Missions/More Credits Anyway that's all I can think of right now. If anyone has any suggestion or things to add to what I've already said, I welcome open discussion and even criticism on my comments.
