  1. Pretty much what I thought about the red eyes when I started this thread. The red eyes are cool in their own right, but they just aren't canon. Kinda immersion breaking when you get them at Dark 4 imo.
  2. Not a very good idea. Hutball would be broken entirely by teams consisting of nothing but sages flash-stepping around every other class. Someones been playing an Evie a tad bit too much in Vindictus I suspect. Not every "mage" class in every mmo needs a teleport ability. It works there, but it probably wouldn't mesh well here.
  3. Good idea and I think they may be already working on something like that, but let's not go too far off topic.
  4. +1 /signed. Pretty obvious. Can't believe this isn't in the game already.
  5. I think you might be able to make a Sith Pure Blood with eyes like these, not sure though. But the Zabrak version isn't nearly as cool as Darth Malgus's version.
  6. Yeah both their eyes are freaking epic! They'd be perfect, but I like the progression mechanic Dark Side corruption currently has, we get eyes that signify our evil at Dark 1, but at 4 we get eyes that signify we are completely corrupted by the Dark Side. Mabey the pure yellow eyes currently in the game will suffice until we reach Dark 4, then we get the classic Sith eyes. Also, I think every once in a while they go through the Suggestion Box and read a few threads for good ideas, so here's hoping they see this one! And thanks for the Twitter support! The more people who show support, the more likely they'll put this in the game!
  7. If you aren't having fun playing a class, chalk it up as a loss and re-roll. Not every player will be great at EVERY class they play, and the playstyle for certain classes just doesn't fit with every person who plays it. You might have a hard time with this class but be a natural as another. ToR is a game, you're supposed to have fun playing it! If you've gotten to level 35 and you still aren't having fun or hit your stride with the class, just re-roll.
  8. Think I'll bump this thread, I think this idea has potential and really hope a dev stumbles upon this thread.
  9. And does the Cartel hood/helmet combo work outside the Test Server yet?
  10. Also, mabey it can be an optional feature. Under the appearance tab, we get a checkbox that says "Enable Classic Sith Eyes Yes/No", that way people already happy with the red eyes can still have them, but if they want to try out the classic eyes, they can. Another win-win imo.
  11. On a related note, anyone with a character on the Test Server have screenshots of hood/helmet combos that work? Is it only sets that work now or will a helmet from one set work with a robe from another set?
  12. The f2pers already have a lot of restrictions, what's one missing cosmetic feature going to hurt? Especially if they can pay a little price and buy them. Us subscribers just get them for free. Consider it BW saying "thank you" for all the support us paying customers have been giving them for so long.
  13. Yeah, it sucks that it got adressed because it effected a Cartel item, but on the bright side, at least it finally got adressed! Hopefully that fix will make it over to the public servers soon...
  14. Yeah, it would be a tad bit insulting for them to make us pay for something that pretty much should of been there from the start, but with f2p around the corner, you know BW is expecting a lot of needed income to come from microtransactions...hmmmm... How about this; every player with an active subscription gets these eyes for free when they get put in game, but f2p players just get the red eyes at Dark 4, if they want the Classic eyes, then they have to buy them from the Cartel. That way the players who already had subs get these eyes for free, but if the f2pers want them they have to spend some cash, giving BW some needed income. That way, everyone wins!
  15. Deception: Burst Damage. You'll kill enemies faster than you would as a Tank spec. But their survivability is much lower than Tankasins, due to Surging Charge (the charge you should usually have activated) not boosting your armor rating. If you stealth up and get the drop on most classes (aside from tanks) you can usually kill them before they know what hit them. Due to the fact that most battles in ToR are short skirmishes as opposed to long battles of attrition, speccing burst-dps would put you at a slight advantage, once you are in end-game gear. Darkness: Survivability. You'll do more damage overall compared to a Deceptasin, simply because your alive longer to do more damage. But you'll find yourself fighting the same person for a longer time than you would as a deception spec because the burst dps isn't as high, but the upside is, you can take pretty much any class in the game 1 vs. 1 including Tanks, since Tankasins do noticeably higher dps than other Tank classes. They aren't worse or better than eachother, just different. Depends on your playstyle. If you are having fun as a Deceptasin there's no real reason to switch specs, as you're just as viable in PvP as a Tankasin. If your good at either spec you will often find yourself at anywhere from 3rd to 1st place in damage. None of our specs can consistantly outdamage Marauders if said Mara is doing his job right, but both specs can give them a run for their money, as good Deceptasins can out burst Maras and Tankasins can survive a lot longer than them.
  16. They have dyes in most mainstream mmos. It would be easiest to just implement a dye feature based off an already existing template.
  17. I know right? They could make a ton of cash of the Classic Sith Eyes were a Cartel Item. I'd gladly pay irl money for my character to have these eyes.
  18. I read the thread on the PTS forum that said it was fixed on the test servers. It gave me mixed emotions. I was really happy because it seems this problem which we've been talking about for an extremely long time has been fixed on the test servers, but we've been complaining about it for so long and it only seems to have gotten fixed because it now effected a cartel item. That kinda seems like a punch to the face to me...we've been complaining about his for how long? Since beta? And they pretty much kept saying "We'd love to see this feature re-implemented 'at some point' but there are a lot more important things on our plate at the moment." Then one guy on the Test Server makes a thread stating that a robe/helmet combo sold on the Cartel doesn't look the way its does in the advertisment because hoods and helmets still don't work, and this could be considered "false advertisment" and illegal because he paid real money for it...3 days later hoods and helmets work on the Test Server. That's how BW does things??? A known issue gets the snub for months at a time - until it effects a Cartel Item - then it gets fixed in record time??? /end rant. Sorry 'bout that. Yeah I guess I'm happy for the guys over on the Test Server. Hopefully they'll bring whatever fix they made there to the Live Servers, and as you posted in the linked thread, hopefully they don't make it so the only hood/helmet combos that work come from the Cartel.
  19. I agree. That is also the attitude of about 95% of the playerbase. I don't see why they romved this feature in the first place. Agreed. I was especially dissapointed because ALL the Sith Inquisitor concept work shows them wearing hoods with masks/helmets under them. It's the iconic Inquisitor look, but it isn't actually in the game anymore. They even put a screencap of a Sith Assassin wearing a helmet under a hood on a banner on this website: http://www.swtor.com/free, even though we still can't do this in-game after months and months of protest. That seems almost, sort of mean-spirited to me.
  20. That's another issue that's been talked about since beta, but the difference is it was never actually in the game. We were once able to wear our helmets under our hoods, then they took the feature out. They might have to do a lot of work for the whole toggle hoods feature to work; for this one all they'd have to do is re-enable the feature they took out, which probably wouldn't be that hard to do.
  21. I second that. The skin and veins look great. If we just had the classic eyes...
  22. Oh goodness ^This. I was so reluctant to switch to my first moddable lightsaber because it's igniting sound was TERRIBLE compared to the sound of the one I had before. PLEASE allow us to choose our lightsabers igniting and swinging sounds. It'd be a little thing that makes the game a lot better. Also, this may be a little of topic, but mabey they could give us the ability to choose our lightsaber's hilt color? I don't mean anything crazy, just the ability to choose from 3 basic colors: white, metalic grey and black. For all saber hilts. Mabey even have vendors sell alternate colors for the same saber? When I roll an Imperial character there is no reason my lightsaber's hilt should be white. Ever.
  23. I agree, I'm totally jelous of their eyes as well I mean, there is no real reason your eyes shouldn't turn the canon Sith eye color at Dark 4...I think I have a theory as to why they don't though... We know Bioware is the dev team that made this game. They also made the popular "Mass Effect" game series. In those games you could control the main character and make him do Paragon/Renegade (Good/Evil) deciscions, similar to the DS/LS choices in ToR. In the ME game trilogy, making the main character do evil things made his(or her) eyes turn red. Originally, Sith Corruption wasn't in the game, enough people asked for it in beta and so BW said "Hey! You know how Shepard's eyes turn red in Mass Effect 2 if the player made him do bad things? Let's just add that to ToR!" as sort of a last minute quick fix. I mean, their heart was in the right place, but, they designed npcs with the Classic Sith Corruption Eyes before they even put Sith Corruption in the game. How they didn't make the connection to give the player these same eyes baffles me.
  24. This feature was around during beta, and was taken out at some point due to some of the larger helmets clipping through the hoods. At this point, you have to be aware of the player uproar. This was a very popular visual feature and most players want it back. Please bring it back. I honestly don't think the players ever really cared that much about the whole clipping thing in the first place. If we had to choose from 2 options - 1: to wear helmets under hoods and having to deal with a small amount of the larger ones clipping through some of the hoods, or 2: Not being able to wear any helmets under hoods. AT ALL. - I think the majority of players would take option 1 hands down. The clipping of some of the larger helmets was an extremely small issue, the way you guys "fixed" this issue - by removing the ability to wear helmets under hoods altogether - is leagues worse than the problem it set out to fix. You have to consider the time it's taking you to "fix the problem" compared to the severity of the problem itself: we could wear helmets and hoods together in the beta and that made players happy, it was found that some of the larger helmets clipped through the hoods so you removed the entire feature (which made the players very unhappy) until you could solve that problem... Close to a year later, your still giving the playerbase the runaround as to why we can't wear our helmets under our hoods. At some point, you have to say, "You know what, this wasn't that big of a problem to begin with." and make things how they were before. It's not exactly a game destroying bug for a few of the helmets to clip a few of the hoods. If it's taking this long to fix such small thing - or to even adress it due to higher priority problems getting more attention - just forget the trivial clipping thing and give us this option back. It would make the players very happy.
