  1. You have a dev/design team that asks for feedback, ignores the majority of the community, introduces untested game changes and 'more than usual' amount of bugs (because the didnt bother to test the content), and which they dont seem inclined to fix. Then we get a week of hyped annoucements for content that, again, the majority of the players found rather lackluster. This is a consumer product where the feedback asked for is blatantly ignored and the producers of the content continue with their own limited vision hindering growth of the game. An extremely poor way to coax the dollars from my wallet.

  3. Hopefully he has done some steroids or learned to eat, didnt like having an anorexic wookie...lol. But with this dev/design team, i dont expect much anymore..
  4. Devs, you really leave alot to be desired in this game. It appears you are quite out of touch with your player base. Here are some examples. In his post on Companion Balance Changes, Michael Backus made the following statements: "What we didn’t realize was how with Knights of the Fallen Empire gameplay had evolved. As a community, you were playing differently than we had expected." "With Companions being the power level they were, “everyone” began enjoying them. And that was the point that we hadn’t realized. By reducing Companion power, we took that away from a lot of you. You could still engage in [Heroic 2]s and beat them, but they had become arduous, even grindy to many players." Really? How differently was the community playing? This game has been out for several years.. and you dont understand how people like to play after all that time? Then you say you didnt realize that your players enjoying their companions and their power levels. How does that come about? What I gather from this is that you and your team dont really know your own game and what the community enjoys. You folks keep making changes (that apparently arent play tested) and instead of improving the game your running people off. I enjoy a game that is challenging AND enjoyable, not an exercise in futility. Just my opinion.
  5. Yeah, i agree with op, they (the devs) have created a distinct imbalance in the fp's with whatever they've tinkered with. I had my last fill of it today. Ran tactical blood hunt, was on my 65 dps commando, mostly 216 gear, grouped up with lvls 20-40, no healers. I drew most of the aggro, and as has been the pattern, make it to Jos and Vok, have multiple wipes till the group starts leaving. Then queue up and get tactical fp depths of manaan, people left before we even started. Finally get in to tactical directive 7, drew all the aggro, 7 wipes and Id had enough. Ive played this game for several years, im geared, i know my abilities and how to use them. Its just not enjoyable with the changes they've made. So I decided to unsubscribe. If you like it more power to you. Its just no longer an enjoyable game for me.
  6. With this game introducing bugs at what appears to be an exponential rate, is it too much to ask for you (the devs) to keep that thread updated and current to the best of your ability? So that when you copy & paste a CSR message which directs a player to check out known bugs/issues on the forum that they can do so and know that you are aware of the issue? The thread Im referring to is under General Discussion > Bug Reports.

  8. Great post! The videos were spot on. Should be mandatory viewing for the devs as this game certainly has fallen iinto the 'punishing' style.
  9. Companion Balance Changes | 11.23.2015, 11:01 PM Hey folks! A few follow-ups based on what we have been seeing in the thread. We have been seeing some concerns about Companion tanking viability, and the difficulty of some Heroic Missions. If you have specifics thoughts or feedback on those, please shoot them into the feedback thread found here. We have been getting some great feedback on those topics there. We have also seen some good suggestions around renaming Heroic Star Fortress. Keep all of your thoughts and feedback coming, and we will continue passing it onto Michael and the rest of the team. Thanks everyone. -eric Really? How much more feedback do you require to understand that you royally screwed the pooch with your nerf/nuke bat attempt to 'balance the game'. Its getting rather monotonous now. How about actually playing the game and try some random queues or something. Id like to see a post from a dev saying something like 'wow, we played thru 'insert random fp/op here' and found out that it is a tedious, fun-deprived experience. Hell, the forum posts alone, from dev and player alike have kept me off the game today.
  10. Just curious, on many of the games I play or have played the devs stayed in touch with the community thru hosting events that they actually participate in and/or post vids of their gaming time. Cant say Ive seen that with this game. With all the commotion over the companion nuke and reading the responses from the devs it just leaves me with the impression that there is a disconnect between the devs and the average player. Especially concerning what constitutes fun and enjoyability in this game. Just my observation.
  11. I found a post on here that said to delete the bitraider folder and restart the patch. I had the same problem. Sure enough, i deleted just the bitraider folder, started the launcher and had the patch downloaded in about 20minutes.
  12. I have 16 toons, one of everything essentially. Levels 29-65. Have played this game for several years now. I run a variety of companions, influence levels vary from 6 to 20. Since the release of 4.0 I found the game to incredibly enjoyable and fun. Im not a big ops runner as I never like having to spend two hours trying to learn mechanics on dulfy though I have joined a new guild which has made ops more tolerable. I run all the star fortress on both solo and heroic though I have not yet solo'd the heroic. I find them an sufficiently challenging and ENJOYABLE (the keyword here). Im a casual player. Im not looking to have the game turned into a tedious grind with low enjoyability. Why not make a hard mode heroic star fortress for those who feel that they need the threat of dying multiple times to satisfy their challenge level. Many of the player base are casual playesr who returned when word spread of the awesome changes. I love going thru alot of the old content, it was no longer a pain or cause of frustration. Im not saying comps need to return to pre-patch levels but you folks did screw this up royally with that nuke. And what ever you did to comps, as others have noted, they dont seem to use their healing abilities in a timely fashion many times. I love the new content but Im not looking for a tedious grind, when I want challenging from this game, I go and tackle hm fps and ops. If you nerfed the abilities by 75% as some suggested, then I would suggest returning, say, 40%-50% of the loss and see how that works. You guys did state something to the effect of returning to storytelling and improving the casual gaming experience. You had done that, a nuke was not required and hopefully your team can see it was poor choice.
