im relitvily new to the game but i find for a first toon the best approach is get a craft skill the works with character type ie synth or artifice for jedi/ sith and armor mech or armstech for combat classes. it saves you money and yonce you make a good orange you like you can trade out the mods as you lvl from your plantary coms.
