  1. 1. I always aim mid center. 2. I just upgraded them and I hardly experience any differences. 3. With or without my hits only hit for about 230 per tick. 4. Some times they do, some times they don't, I can't imagine that they're capable of having it up 24/7 for I sure as heck can't. 5. No I am not, I am sharing my experience.
  2. Me having to hit a target at least 10 times before it explodes. But it only takes them 3 hits to get me? Yes I am aware of converting power to engines, weapons or shields.
  3. So I reached 70 went to Ossus did the story quests and after taking over the Jedi Library it ends? Is the rest tied to reputation? Is it still being released? What's the deal?
  4. It's common issue with the ST type launcher ( streaming ) The guaranteed fix to this issue is changing the launcher to a non-stream launcher. open the launcher.settings file in notepad and locate the below line and edit to the below , "PatchingMode": "{ \"swtor\": \"BR\" }" Change to: , "PatchingMode": "{ \"swtor\": \"SSN\" }" , "bitraider_disable": false Change to: , "bitraider_disable": true SAVE the changes. Delete the BitRaider, Movie and Asset folders then start the launcher.
  5. He raised a valid point. He contradicted the OP for lacking in knowledge of the mechanics and locking in the wrong spec without the proper statistics to meet the standards of the challenge. And he did so via a rather comical sarcastic reaction. There's always a way to accomplish something in video games, you just have to find out how. Demanding nerfs and changes just to make it easier isn't rewarding and takes away any sense of progression and or success. Great example World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth.
  6. Unique class stories is a thing from the past. The subscription count is too low to support a fully dedicated expansion. Though I do believe they're making a lot of money via the Cartel Shop. So unless the community grows and throws in more money it won't happen. As for your other points I agree it had some good it had some bad, my biggest annoyance with the story and their quests are the vehicle phases. I am playing a dark lord of the Sith with tremendous power why would I need to diminish myself to an extremely slow automaton in order to defeat my enemies? It made no sense to me, it was also really slow and it felt as filler to extend your play time.
  7. It might be interesting to upgrade your ISP package to a faster connection. I for example have 400mb/s connection and when I'm playing on US servers my ping fluctuates between 90 and 130 ms.( EU player ) It's too high for competitive shooters but mmorpgs can coup with it just fine.
  8. I suddenly lost connection to the server and my game crashed. Naturally I tried to relaunch the game via the launcher but it keeps promting a warning message saying: "This application has encoutnered an unspecified error. Please try this patch again." Any idea to what's going on? UPDATE 12:11 It seems like the problem resolved it self, my guess is that the server went down for a while..
  9. It probably won't. The game hardly gets any proper new content updates. They keep releasing slightly modified stock model characters and low resolution textures. Most of the instances are under performing and extremely laggy and or bugged. Yet you're still being charged 12,99 euro a month. The game isn't bad but it's far from reaching a new high point.
  10. The game is experiencing a lot of bugs and performance drops... Isn't it great? Paying a monthly subscription fee to have a unstable product that doesn't deliver it's promised support?
  11. Then you've missed out on tons of other better titles. KoTor alone is already 10 times better than Swtor can ever be.
  12. Almost every mmorpg that uses a subscription based membership prices their customers 13,- each 30-days. 27,- for 60-days is outdated and only available through pre-paid cards in most other games. Besides that the real discount only applies to those who order a larger quantity which is normal in marketing, buy more pay a little less, hence the reason you're only paying 11,- per month when purchasing a recurring 180-day subscription deal. Now you could argue that a one-time 30-day purchase would be cheaper than a 27 day which is true but only by 1 euro which isn't a major difference or an actual issue. They're still getting more money than their current product is actually worth. I've addressed this is one my topic ''point of view, from a returning player'' Where the game never made any graphical enhancement or mechanic based upgrades. The game still runs on the same old engine, with the same old low resolution textures, with the same old rehashed stock models. Even the cartel market items are made using the same old model principles and resolutions. Besides never changing and or updating those features, it no longer requires the same amount of resources to host an 7 year old server platform. But back on topic... Like I mentioned before, no-one actually purchases 60-day subscriptions anymore when it comes to other more successful titles. ( think of World of Warcraft ) And if you truly wish to attract a new player base to your unstable game you will have to make it appealing. No one wants to pay 27 for a trial. Now the game does provide a 7-days of imaginary subscription time for free via referral links but that's limited to level sixtyfive or at least it is for me. You're still unable to participate in the new content to see if it's worth the price of admission. You're only allowed to enjoy the outdated content no one plays any more but this time without any restrictions. And that's why a 13,- for 30-days manual purchase would be effective. It's relatively cheap even though I personally believe it should be way lower than that. People are more wiling to give it a shot and if they're enjoy the new content and the game at its finest they will extend their sub via one of the recurring sub plans.
  13. It depends on your location, you're clearly American and I'm European we're not paying 15 dollars per 30 days we're paying 12,99 euro which is equal to 15 dollars.
  14. One time is obviously a non-recurring subscription as even stated on the store page as one time purchase for the 60 day option. I'm not sure what you're trying to point out here? My point is that there's still no one-time purchase option for 30-days. No one wants to spend 27 for 60 days and find out the current state of the game is not their idea of a enjoyable game in the next 3 days. having spend 27 with 57 days remaining but 0 interest of playing. This is the only superior feature Blizzard offers with their mmo product.
  15. Taking away a rewarding feature that heavily impacted your character's progression renders xp gaining boring and more like a chore despite how fast it has gotten. Subscriptions are based on the resources required to maintain the product and update the product and a small profit. Time has passed and tech has been upgraded yet the core of the game remains the same. It requires less to host and maintain swtor today than it did back in 2011 hence the reason I addressed the topic: "is it still worth the same price of admission?" And my guess is, no. And I doubt that audio dialogue deletion was a community wish. It's more likely they left it out in order to cut back their expanses, as hundreds of hours of voice recording sessions and editing costs quite a lot of money. If it truly was a wish by the community they would have removed it with the first expansion release which they didn't. Infact the "diehard fans" played the game for it's uniqueness story driven dialogue with top notch voice acting it was Swtor's selling point back in the day. 1000's, 5 or 100 hours doesn't mean I can't see errors with the current state of the product. Pre -expansions it took time and effort to progress your character making you invest and emerge more in to the game. Now you're applying your face to your keyboard and you're done. Like I said, Swtor Bioware/Ea are following the World of warcraft formula and what have we learned from Blizzard's Wow is that they lost millions of subscribers due to the fact they oversimplified the game to a degree anyone could do anything at anytime with minimum effort. So what Bioware/EA are doing is they're looking at their competitor's success trying to mimic their product in a unpopular game which ultimately will lead to more players abandoning Swtor. Hence the reason they merged all the servers together because the servers were practically empty and the few remaining players on each server, were basically playing all by their selves. Rather than truly experiencing a MMO universe. And don't get me wrong. If you're fine with a simplified game that hardly has a sense of progression or reward, outdated textures and models copy pasted til death then be my guest enjoy it to your heart's content, but that doesn't mean the problems aren't there and that I have to like them just because you're okay with them.
  16. I barely played at that moment in time and never got around to address these points. Besides that they're not complaints they are things I noticed why do people always enter anti-social flame mode when some one shares a different opinion or view.
  17. Can you address your point instead of making assumption that would portray me as a simpleton. The problems I described are valid and relative. The game has been dumbeddown. The quality has dropped Etc.
  18. As a returning player I am baffled to all the details that have changed during my absence. Mainly the talent system. I am literally surprised they went for a more simplistic styled talent system. It is almost as if they were trying to emulate World of Warcraft revamped talent system with hopes of attracting a wider audience. Sadly they seem to forget that the new talent system was one of the biggest mistakes Blizzard made. It feels too simplistic and leveling feels like a chore now with no real sense of progression. In the past you were rewarded 1 talent point for each level that you gained creating a sense of progression as you would specialize your character in depth along the grind to max level. I know Blizzard based their decision on preventing people from playing "cookie cutter builds" but that did not work out, as even a more simplistic system won't change that, people will always calculate the most rewarding talent tree setup. But that's not the biggest unappealing feature of it all, the biggest problem I have and many other people had was the fact that you're no longer able to creating a unique hybrid build. As I always liked the idea of having a unique build that concentrated on certain aspects rather than the meta this always gave a certain edge in pvp as people weren't able to anticipate your moves making it more immersive than it currently is. Further more.. I really don't see the logic in removing the classic role selection for flash point groups anymore. Sure it does provide quicker queue's, but what is the point of having 4 DPS/DD continuously dying on elite trash mobs due to a lack of tanking and healing? Besides that fact enabling DPS to have quicker queues by pairing them up with other dps will eventually lead to an even bigger concentration of dps players rendering unique roles such as tanks and healers even more rare. I am also curious to why the new NPC dialogue sequences from side quests nog longer provide audio? I get that the player base has shrunk and the game is no longer generating large quantities of profit. But I am almost certain this can still be done with the currently generated profits from micro transactions. It is after all the most used feature in the game based on the never ending RNG and 0,01% drop chances. Besides that fact, the game never truly got any proper updates other than new content and system alterations. New expansion still make use of the outdated textures and stock models slightly altered. One might actually wonder if the current 27 ,- per 60 days is a fair price for the product quality in its current state of the game. Granted they do add new items on a annual basis via loot boxes but those are locked behind micro transactions and do not add value to the subscription plan based on a game that was released in December 2011 ( 7 years ago ) I might come extremely negative and skeptical but do not mistake me for a "hater" I think the game still is enjoyable to a certain extend and I will always have soft spot for it. It is just that it no longer validates the full price of admission without actually updating the core of the game it self. For example I have looked over multiple new armor and weapon models and you look closely at them you can see they are still using a relatively outdated resolution and many models look very similar to one another which does not validates as a new product that required any hard work or effort. So in my opinion they should put more work in to them provide a visually improved version of the game or lift the subscription based barrier all together and solely rely on micro transactions and expansion purchases. Granted 1 month of subscription will unlock the current expansion permanently and all previous ones but still with severe limitations once your subscription is over. Limitation such as: 350,000 credit cap, restriction to artifact grade gear, limited access to OPS, PVP, FP and Star Fighter, reduced experience gains and limited character slots. What do you guys and galls think? Am I right or just over analyzing?
  19. Add a one time 30-day subscription time option for 12,99 purchasable via iDeal, Paypal and credit card. Why? Because many people like myself are always curious about the game want to experience it in depth with no limitations but don't feel like spending 27,- for 60 days with the risk of not liking what they're experiencing rendering the 27,- a waste of money. And if their experience was positive they will always comeback for another subscription. Besides that, not everyone plays the game continuously. I for example am a player that swaps back and forth between various games. I play for a month or 3 and then I'll swap to something different and comeback later. The current payment systems in place are severely outdated and mainly focuses recurring plans via Credit-cards. Now I get that the US has a standard of using credit-cards for online purchases, but this is an international market so do try to expand past your own border and mannerisms. For I sure as heck will not get a credit-card just for swtor.
  20. Ignore what he said. This game can be run on a core2duo with medium to high settings. So yes, your laptop will be able to handle the game just fine, but probably with limited visual settings.
  21. As a returning player that has been away for at least a year I'm still shocked to see that there's still no iDeal or paypal payment option for 30-days of subscription. I am willing and interested in seeing the new content and the overall current state of the game. But I don't want to risk spending 27,- for something I might not enjoy. Every other MMO I know of do in fact offer this option. I am using a referral link at the moment allowing me to see some details of the game in slightly more depths than a regular preferred status player. But I am afraid I won't fully dedicate to an actual subscription due to the poor outdated payment options still set in place.
  22. I am indeed using a reffel atm, haven't subbed since the last expansion. Didn't feel like subbing right away again, who knows I might not like it.
  23. Hey guys, I recently came back to swtor. Upon installing the game.. the launcher got stuck on 97.66% Now I managed to fix it by making it a non st launcher by edittin the .ini The game got fulyl downloaded and nstalled without any issues. Though each time I launch the launcher and login it keeps asking me to accept the terms of agreement blabla. Might this be because of the alternative route I took while installing the game? Or is this a current known issue? Cheers!
  24. So I have 6 recurring days of subscription but I do not have acces to the new story. Does anyone know the reason why?
  25. Yeah, I rarely read any announcements, And why should I? The achievement worked fine in the past. And it only began to bug in past few weeks. The whole situation is just completely strange and near theft of money: Forcing players to extend their subscription in order to complete an achievement. Not saying this is the actual thing they're planning..but one might and think wonder..
