I know how you feel man. I've also been telling quite a few friends that sw will go f2p. But now after i've seen all that this "F2P" experience entails, i just tell them not to bother when they ask me about it. Feeling like an idiot for getting their hopes up ftw ^^

So I'm looking at http://dulfy.net/2012/10/23/swtor-cartel-market-items/ and whereas some things like purple gear unlock have "Subscribers automatically gain this Authorization" written beneath them, the unlock for Section X(q chain for HK) doesn't. Does this mean subscribers will have to unlock it with cartel coins?

have you guys spent any cartel points on the pts? maybe its bugged and they deducted those coins from your would-get amount when f2p hits.

don't get your hopes up on everything they say. it will lead to less frustration. log on, have fun and the update will come when it comes.

you anwsered your question. that's something called common courtesy. if you want to play like that it's fine, but prepare to get flamed/kicked from group alot if you're planning on doing it in end-game content.

1 quick bar was terrible... but 2 is actually good . you can adjust your active skills to FPs WZs or leveling before u start doing it and by the time you need more than 24 skills for that particular activity you are way past the point where you can decide: to buy additional ones for a few bucks or not(dont forget you should get preferred status with it also, which is a great idea btw). This isnt such a downer as many people would like to make it look. Oh and posting your skills which you use at lvl 50 is just lol because if a F2Per didnt buy a third bar till lvl 50 he sure as hell aint gonna do it at 50 for 3FPs and 5WZs a week. P.S. gotta go and laugh hard at the people who thought 1 bar was such a great idea. HA-HA.

Try to look from the new player perspective. You have just downloaded the game have a few spare bucks and the first thing you have to buy is additional skill bars. Yes if you liked the game that's no problem. But what if you are unsure?(and in this game the best parts come later in the game). Would you want to keep trying the game if your first purchase would have to be skill bars? P.S. anwsering your question i think the other restrictions are more or less reasonable, but this one tips it over the edge

I dont mind those roadblocks I'm all up for a healthy F2P model. I only think there are too many of those roadblocks. The way i see it : now they have too many. Too little will also be very bad. They need to find a golden middle and for me the current model is not that golden middle. Which is the point that I'm trying to make.

With all due respect(not that much really) that's not for you to decide what this game needs. As an active subscriber and a person willing to buy some stuff of the cartel shop(which I am) I'm all that this game needs. However for me this F2P model is utterly unappealing. A just point, i get that. What i don't get is why there had to be a 2$-3$ at almost every turn in the game. And when they see how much they have to spend to enjoy this game, I don't think most of them will like the idea and spend cash because as you mentionted they didn't want to spend that cash to begin with.

Yes. For me its not the amount(if it were i wouldnt be paying for this), it's the idea. That's my opinion and last time i checked im entitled to one and this is a place to discuss it.
