  1. I would support this especially if you could replace a dead compie with Thana Vesh... there I said it. On the Republic side of life heck, I can see why this is limited as I'd have a skeleton crew and about half a crew of skeletons. Basicly, some companions I've noticed it most with Kira because of her annoying comment in battle coming out when I give her a gift. Nothing says thanks quite like "eat lightsaber jerk!"
  2. Thank you, someone had to mock the HK-51 quest line of bull... I would like to see more companion stories but, some of the companions would become more extreme versions of themselves e.g. Master Carsen ... *looks for Vette's old shock collar to post to the republic*
  3. I think Kira gives a great opening to the Knight for a possible start in this direction when resolving her child of the emperor situation one of the conversations has an option of "I don't think I'm really a Jedi" nagging self-doubt or moral haze that you see in the New Sith Wars for example (Bane Trilogy) Another great opening provided by Kira along these lines is the futility of the fight between the Jedi and Sith -one thinks they wiped out or devastated the other just for them to come right back and stronger than before. Yes, Einstein's definition of insanity as a factor. For a Trooper the source of disillusion might be that they don't ever make General or have a time-table for retiring from death defiant disasters of some dubious superior's making. Or the opposite case of the Trooper is totally institutionalized to battlefield conditions and the Empire promises War while the Republic still tries for diplomatic peace. Bounty Hunter and Smuggler here have the advantage in that they are from the start independents for hire so the other side could make the better legitimate offer. Since I haven't played on the Agent I can't speak to what about the job would finally cause the mental break for them.
  4. Most of us have a theme playing in our heads while thinking of our classes but, while playing a consular I couldn't help hearing a song play constantly while with a companion which made the experience hilarious to say the least. After that point I thought it best to make a list of tunes that seemed to fit different compies and see if anyone else had a similar experience and whatever taste in music seemed to fit for each companion. While this is not a complete listing it's more because I can't peg exactly one song, yet, to the companions not mentioned here. Sith Warrior: Vette: Light Jaesa: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKd06s1LNik Dark Jaesa: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DF7S5YX6M8 Quinn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EX0X0tx0TOU Jedi Knight: T7: Kira Carsen: Bounty Hunter: Mako: Smuggler: Risha: Consular: Tharan Cedrax:
  5. Interesting mechanics note on Thana if the Devs actually listen, she's a Sith Marauder -Medium or light armour, how you can tell this is she uses Ataru form which is in the Carnage tree of the Marauder, can't remember the same tree for Sentinel. While running the Spaceport with someone doing it for the first time I put it bluntly in the group chat "Let Thana go first, she's crazy." which isn't as suicidal as most tank companions running away from you into a fight they can't win. If Dev's want to give her to us as a compie the fun way to do it is we would run into her on Illum or Makeb seemingly by accident. "What did I tell you about following me.." ends much differently -possibly flirt options that land her more interestingly on your ship than if not taken and she would still be on board regardless. Some non-flirts would be her climbing in to make sure you stop following her or because her own ship is trashed.
  6. Male Empire best has got to be Dark Jaesa, if you can remember the 90's the character of Malorie Knox might seem familiar which for a Dark 4 or Dark 5 rated SW is quite expected. It goes down hill from here, even Kaliyo complains when you sell out Watcher to Jadus... come on is this the same Rattataki? Haven't fully developed Vette on the Light SW but, a hint is that it does help to go LS if you're building conversation affection while she does build some from dark choices they are too few and far between. That said LS Jaesa is horribly demure and I can approve of no romancing there... For the 'Pubs tops goes to Akaavi, she has personality and not the grating kind. With Risha I couldn't get past two major things, the biggest being that she seemed entirely useless for the first act and second was her additude -Curse you for not letting me ditch her on Taris BW! Dorne! Imperial disappointment I would sum up in Mako though to add some realism the IA Opt-out on Voss should be avaible to all classes and genders. [:Spoiler:] Female IA can opt to marry a Voss to gain entry to the Dark Heart. Which if your romancable compainion hasn't gotten remotely serious by Voss or proven less than ideal this would be a great fix, in the style of a Vette phobia "Have I ever mentioned I have a fear of commitment...not limited to mental wards. [:End Spoiler:] In the spirit of comparing Bioware past to present the KOTOR 1 & to a lesser extent 2 were far more believable, Revan's humour response of Bastilla giving a compliment was priceless. Contrast with present, I have to go Exar Kun to make Consular anything other than dull, Nadia also seems to come too late even in 'guest' status making it seem incredibly rushed - just a thought there. What can be learned here? Romance is gradual, Rushing the subject or completely oblivious reactions are extremities prone to failure. Humour is great, with Vette the laughs have kept it from falling flat.
  7. Consindiering the way I played both, the fight wouldn't happen between Wrath and Nox, it would happen when they got back to their ships shrugging their shoulders...
  8. Well, established, in-game there's Lord Draagh's commentary that we'd love to see elaborated on outside the Juggernaut Skill tree.
  9. Imagines Darkside Vette... there's a word for that, Brujah. Some companions are painfully one side or the other and no middle ground, this is worse with the 'Pubs and their Padawans ugh, unless officially labled bad-guys they don't like you killing at all which demands you take the additude of "I don't care what my compie thinks I'm doing it anyway..." Unfortunately, you have to take this additude with all compies as their moralities are often ambigious with the exception of your Mandalorian compies just have to do what you think best in character and let the chips fall. One thing I have noticed is that with few exceptions most Imp compies become desensitized to violence over time. e.g. Vette's threshold for "deserving it" drops pretty low after you get Jaesa as long as you don't expect her to torture anyone ala the Baras and Ravager scene.
  10. Crafting with the new level cap should be improved, 400 cybertech on my knight who can buy 23 purple armour but, can't craft beyond 22. Artifice on my marauder is 400 and there are certain enhances that don't exist for crafting e.g. Lucid 22 isn't there while it does exist at higher levels you can't craft it for reference the Darth Sion lightsaber is epic for a juggernaut/guardian build even in a jr form while leveling but, for end game you'd still be stuck with it at a lucid 21.
  11. Lord Draagh came back for Warrior after quite a fall and being set on fire, or for more EU style here think Lumiya... She could have some coy comment about it, Yuaan (Consular) comes to mind, "What's a few broken bones between friends?" If Bioware wanted to be epic about it they could write in a whole cut scene of her killing off one of your compainions if they wouldn't give a slot to her. Unlike HK-51 whom I've tried starting the quest trip with at 50 I know Thana would not be a waste of time.
  12. /sign I'll gladly trade Broonmark for Thana as she proves combat effective while the Talz comes in way too little and far too late. Pierce is also on my ship more often than not but, he at least has some personality... if I had to give up one of the gals to get Thana then DS Jaesa, psychotic as she is there's still something creepy about her being so dependent on your character.
  13. No Ewoks, No Hutts, No Shistavanens or anything that would require you to put down a pet deposit on yourself
  14. Belsavis, Social Points item, Prisoner's Headgear... when it comes down to it Quinn is useful in combat but, if you can max the affection on the others first do so instead of him. Having played KOTOR 2 the betrayal was obvious though one hint for those doing this is to take his gear into the inventory before the fight that way he's even faster to the choke. His default clothing will be there for the cutscense and yes I've thought killing him would have been much better.
