Last night was weird. I was running the Tython FP with 3 level 20s, i didnt check achievements but i'm pretty sure none of them had ran those before and we never wiped. Sure there was this one guy who kept dying but still..

It's a game built on a horrid engine. You can run up-to-date games on max graphics yet have problems with this one. This game could've been so much more but oh well. It's still the only Star Wars MMO out there so i'm staying until a new one gets made.

I used to play on max graphics (aside shadows) with my old laptop, took a break and game back after 3.0 Only thing i could keep on high was textures after that and the fps still wasn't as up there. 3.0 messed something up.

You can buy the mats off from the GTN, just look for the seller named "Rauno" ;) Honestly i don't see the problem with the quest. So what if Yuun only takes about 5 minutes? This is a different quest, noone is forcing anyone to do this one. Whenever i see M14X with someone, i know the player had to endure 20 PVP matches to get him and give props for the effort. I wouldn't even mind if they made some of these companions tremendously long grind fests, just so they could be so much rarer and only for the people willing to put the effort.

Do you mean the launcher? Yes, restarted it several times. I'm not even patching anything, the game has been working great all day until this. Edit: I opened task manager and manually closed all the BitRaider applications. Then opened the launcher, everythings working again. I've never had any troubles with an MMO launcher until SWTOR and BitRaider.

It was fine just 2 hours ago. Damnit launcher, get your stuff together. Any idea what to do?

Or maybe - just maybe - you actually read through the thread and realise people with more than capable machines are having troubles as well.

And now i got my answer. Didn't think about the gear difference that much. Like i said, i liked the 4.0 comps as well and the thing i least enjoyed in this game was levelling and gearing u my companions. 4.0 removed that, i just hope levelling is more fun as well, even with the nerf.

Funny how eric posted about reading through all the threads in here, reddit, twitter etc. about the companion nerf while this thread has been in the top pages for a really long time with NO statemets whatsoever.

I'm one of those people who liked that the companions were OP but didn't really mind a nerf either. When i read 4.0.2 responses on the thread w/o playing it myself yet, i was worried since people were basically boycotting the game and saying companions are worthless, especially healers. That was until i played the game. I can still solo all the heroics easily (i actually have to have some tactics for bigger, tougher groups and use abilities i almost forgot were there). My gear consists of 216-220 mostly. I was using Lana as a healer with level 40 influence. I have only unlocked like 3-4 datacrons so my presence isn't high either. What's so tragic about the nerf?

Where do i get the appropriate Net 4 & VC++ redistributables?

As the title says, im buying a new laptop tomorrow and am wondering if its doable, copying the files to an external hard drive and then the new laptop? Will the game work? I really dont want to download the whole 30+ GBs again. Thanks

Hello. I've always been in the Progenitor server but the decrease in people lately and the HUGE amount of time it requires to get a FP pop (even for a dps) has got me thinking about transferring. I have no interest in RP. I joined the server back when it was labelled as pve-rp, now it's just rp and i think some people may be thrown off by the label and instantly choose RE. So far the cons i see are that i'd have to give up my name and leave my current guild behind which would suck. Obviously not doing anything until 4.0 drops but what would y'all recommend?

I finished the Ilum story solo missions when i was levelling but deleted the main questline soon after (25 mission limit) without completing the flashpoints and storyline. Is there a way to get the original questline back somehow? I can't seem to find it. Also kind of same question for Jedi Prisoner. Where can i pick that storlyline up again manually?

I still haven't done the Revan and Malgus (it was impossible to get the FP's while leveling) story lines. I assume these 2 would still be there, even if i was a 65?

I was against the idea to the point of even thinking about another MMO. Obviously this was just the first reaction and now? I'm actually waiting for the level sync. I can't wait to run around old planets again with actual meaning.

Hello. This may seem and possibly is a stupid question but.. say i'm on Corellia for example and a lvl 50 (and i'm 65 at that point) challenges me to a duel. Is my gear downgraded as well, making my gear, well.. useless? Or will it only apply to the pve part of the game?

I'm getting my laptop cleaned tonight, going to see how much the dust may have impacted my gameplay. If that won't help, i'll know the drop in fps isn't on my part.

This game is hella weird tho. I was looking at my old screenshots of the game and one was of the graphics settings i was running. It was all high, shadows off. Now everything is low and i'm still getting low fps.
