  1. The new operation boss is a little confusing. Do we have to clear the first four bosses in VM in order to fight Izax, or if we set the instance to MM can we fight just him? For the title and special reward do we need to kill Izax on each toon we want the tittle on or once we have the achievement can we buy the rewards for all of our characters? If we need to clear on each character how will that be tracked. Will there be away to tell in game which toons are eligible and which are not before 5.9 releases?
  2. Why in the world did you spend resources developing a new stronghold and then not let me use it? I'm not going to deactivate a stronghold that I spent time and money decorating. Please cap the stronghold bonus at 100% and allow us to have as many strongholds as we want. That way I can partially fill the hooks in all 7 of my strongholds and don't need to put a chair in every hook. And you don't have to deal with conquest bonus inflation. If you aren't going to increase the stronghold cap please do not waste anymore resources developing new strongholds.
  3. Because other CM items work differently. The crystals and tuning go on items that have stats and I am not going to stop using legacy weapons. If I buy a tuning on my main sorc that tuning goes on to her lightsaber. That lightsaber is legacy bound because I'm not going to get another 248 main hand just for her and I have 10 other toons who need to use the lightsaber. There is no way to both let me use the tuning once on the character and not allow other characters to have it who use the same saber. But I shouldn't have to pay to unlock it to use once. If they stopped me from claiming additional copies then at least I wouldn't be able to to add the tuning to a blaster pistol or a blaster rifle without paying for the unlock. The game is in a very awkward place right now because legacy gear is basically required. The game all but forces you to alt and 248 main hands are decently hard to get. There is no way for me to use a tuning or crystal on just one character until they add it the costume slot for weapons. In the mean time I would like to be able to use my tunings and crystals without paying an additional fee to use them once.
  4. Ugh Keith please don't call this an exploit . If this is a loophole you want to have closed ok but don't call me a cheater for using a feature that was ok'd by a dev years ago. I understand that you aren't banning anyone but "exploit" is not a cool word to use under these circumstances. The fact that this will take until August to fix is not want I wanted to hear. Honestly I am pretty disappointed right now. Also the "fix" is an improvement but also not what I wanted to hear. When I buy a cartel item (either via a hypercrate or for $$$ credits on the GTN which encourages others to buy cartel coins) I expect to be able to actually use that item. I don't want to pay another fee to use it. If I cannot put it on 1 legacy weapon then I cannot use the crystal or tunning . To make me happy I would like to see the proposed system with a weapon costume designer slot. That way the stats are separate from the look and I can put the cosmetic items on the characters of my choice. If we can't have a weapon costume slot then please make it so that additional copies cannot be claimed without the cartel unlcok. That way I can put a tuning or crystal on 1 legacy weapon but I can't have free copies for the other weapon types. Once again if I can't put them on legacy weapons then I can't use the items at all (until we get a weapon costume slot) and its not fair to ask me to pay additional money to use the item once on one weapon.
  5. Please, please, please get rid of the cutscene when you load into the stronghold. I never had that issue with Nar Shaddaa which was my old main stronghold. Also the ability to re-order our stronghold in the list would be great.
  6. This is entirely unacceptable. This makes tunings and crystals worthless to me since I only use legacy weapons. I am not going to spend cartel coins to unlock a worthless item, I won't be able to use it!. Honestly I want a refund for the items I already have unlocked since I can no longer use the items. If you have to make some sort of change then please make it so no one can claim additional copies without paying to unlock it. If I buy 1 tuning I should be able to put that tuning on 1 weapon and anyone can use that weapon. I should also be able to change which weapon has the tuning. But if I want a second weapon with the same tuning I would be ok with buying a second or paying for the unlock. And no, tearing out the tuning or crystal every time I put the weapon in the bank is not an acceptable solution. That is too much of an inconvenience for me. Likewise I should not have to pay for the legacy unlock to put it on 1 legacy weapon. If I buy a tuning I need to be able to put that on any 1 weapon of my choice. I just shouldn't be able to put it on a second weapon at the same time even if it's on the same character unless I pay the unlock fee.
  7. Can we get some clarification about the change to tunings and crystals? If I can't put these items in legacy weapons and the legacy weapons in my bank then these items are worthless. I don't see myself spending any cartel coins if that is the case.

  9. I agree that sorcs need a nerf, and I agree they needed a large nerf in pvp. But has someone on the balance team tested this in NiM raid content? Obliviously I have not tested the changes but I cannot imagine that I will still be viable in NiM raids. You have nerfed our single target, burst, aoe, and energy management (which will be a nerf to healer dps) and slowed down some of our casts and channels. This seems like way too much all at once. Sorc heals are probably the "easiest" healer class but both Mercs and Operatives are capable of pulling as good or better numbers. Check out the raid parses upload to parsley all three heal classes are well represented. If all three heal classes are expected to have the same target hps I cannot see how Operatives and Mercs will not be seriously out performing Sorcs in raids. Of course I don't want to see my main nerfed but I really think that this is too much. Please make sure sorcs will still be viable in NiM raid content before going through with these changes.
  10. NiM prog raider here. Thanks for acknowledging there is an issue here and asking for feedback. The current NiM gear rewards are not ok and neither of the proposed methods are a solution. If 248 gear came only came from NiM then it would be ok but that is not the case. 248 gear is EASY to get with pvp. So 248 gear is not something rare or exclusive. Now lets compare HM raiding rewards with NiM rewards. HM gives me 242 tokens which I need to turn in to 248 gear (via pvp. If I missed getting a certain piece of 242 while in tier 3 of CXP this is the only way to get the token I need. The gear from HM is really useful for both my main and alts. Now in NiM I get purple or (blue!) tier 4 gear. This gear can not be upgraded and probably isn't even for my main class/spec. Doubling this gear is worthless. This gear is significantly worse than the gear from HM. The blues suck, no NiM raider is going to bother with a blue even for an alt. Please don't ever hand me a blue as a reward from a NiM op. The purples aren't tokens and can't be upgraded. They are only a slight upgrade from 242s so I would rather have a 242 token since I can chose how to spend it. 248 gear is easy to get in PvP there is no reason to slow it down in NiM PvE so I don't see why we can't have 1 248 token from every boss. If we can't have that for some reason then lets talk about other solutions. If you are going to double the current gear please take the blues away and give us only purples. We also need a way to upgrade 246 to 248. I should not need tokens from HM to get my NiM gear. Getting unassembled components from NiM would be nice but we need 242 tokens to go with them. In order to make NiM rewards better than HM rewards how about 2x the 242 drops or 1x 242 drops + unassembled components. No matter which path you take NiM rewards need to be better than HM rewards. Neither of these two suggestions are.
  11. Sure it should. But the balance there should be more like 4.0 i.e. first bosses drop implants, belts, and bracers and last bosses drop chest pieces and main hands. Now all you need to do is beat the first 4 bosses once per week and then you can get rewards from the last boss as many times as you have alts. And since the last boss gets you the weekly and the only guaranteed piece of gear you are getting almost all of the possible rewards for killing just one boss.
  12. I have some feedback for PvE and a question for PvP. Please rethink putting only a guaranteed drop only on the last boss in operation. The end result will be that the only thing worth doing is last boss lockouts. There is already too many groups who will only run last boss for the conquest and CXP now that that is the only guaranteed piece of gear that is all that will happen. Why even have 5 bosses in an operation if 90% of the rewards come from the last boss only. Last boss lockouts are boring please spread out the rewards so that groups have a reason to run an operation from start to end. A quick question about PvP, on the stream you said that the unassembled components would be rewarded based on match outcomes and medals. The medal rewards will cap at 8 medals just like the current system correct? If not then the medal system will need a serious overhaul since tanks can easily get 14+ while healers struggle to get more than 8-10 in some matches. But if rewards are capped at 8 medals it won't be an issue.
  13. What is being done to address the imbalance of classes that only have one role? My sage is going to take twice as long to gear as my sentinel since half of the gear my sage gets will be for a healer and therefore is worthless. The sentinel will be significantly faster to gear since at least all the pieces will be dps. Ops will be filled with sentinels and gunslingers since they will be the first ones geared.
  14. Well this is just silly, healers will need to be buffed as well to keep things balanced. 1. Sorcerers will be give a new skill called Giant Bubble of Doom. The Giant Bubble of Doom covers the entire team making them immune to damage for 5 minutes. At any time any one in the giant bubble of doom can click on the buff to permastun all members of the opposing team within 100m. 2. Mercs will be given a new buff called Revenge. Mercs receive one stack of Revenge for every time they died prior to 4.0. One stack of Revenge can be used to instantly heal a team member to full or one shot an enemy player. Friendly players healed this way do not take damage for the rest of the match. Stacks of revenge are refreshed at the start of every match. 3. Since operatives were too OP in previous patches all heals have been removed from this class. They will be replaced with a bottle of Tylenol. Once per match operatives may walk up to a friendly player and start a 1 minute cast to hand the player a pill. This pill heals for 10hp. If the operative is interrupted during the cast they drop their bottle of Tylenol and it is gone forever.
  15. I know that I would still be unhappy. If I buy the trophies for credits off the GTN I am still supporting what I consider a pay to win system and I am not ok with that.
  16. My issue with this update is not the vanity rewards associated with it. People who spend real money on this can have them and I don't even care that they are bound to a character. My problem is that I want my reputation maxed out with all possible factions. This is part of the game for me and yes I am a completionist. There is no way I am grinding this faction through spending real money or supporting such a system by buying the packs with credits. This is definitely pay to win because there is no other way to gain reputation with this faction and reputation is game content for me. The exclusive "fluff" items make no difference. My ideal solution would be for BW to add a way to grind out rep with this faction by actually playing the game. If this is supplemented by cartel packs then so be it. If that is not an option then at least consider giving subs a few trophies with this faction every month?
  17. As others have sad they may be collecting datacrons. I always dismiss my companions when I have to do any kind of platforming.
  18. Yes you can still reset your skill trees. There is a skill mentor in the combat area of fleet or on your capital planet. It's free if you are a subscriber and you can do it as often as you like. There is also a legacy perk that lets you respec anywhere you like for free. The only thing you can not change is your AC.
  19. Without logging in to check I think my main is at valor rank 68. Sometimes I pvp because I actually want to have a well balanced match. That's not going to happen if we're in pvp gear and the enemy team is wearing 40 greens. I would much rather lose a match 0-10 than win 600-0.
  20. This. If you don't plan on staying where the main fight is don't bother guarding me. I won't follow you on a sucide mission if I'm the only healer. Give someone else the chance to guard me or at least let me know that I am on my own for this one. If you do plan on staying by my side and tanking for me make sure I know who's guard it is. When I see someone guard me before the match stars I always target them and send a few heals there way to acknowledge the guard. If there are three tanks all gruarding someone and you aren't targeting me anymore then I have no idea whose guard it is. Please send me a tell and I will be sure to stick by your side and keep you alive. Also if you want heals wear your pvp gear. No really don't argue just wear it. If you don't have at least 900 expertise or are in full min/maxed augmented DG I won't heal you, it's not worth my time. Finally think about where you are standing. If there is a healing circle on the ground and you need healed go stand in it. If you are at 100% don't stand in it on top of your team mates with your SMASH HERE sign. Spread out as much as you can while still staying in the healers range. Do your best not to LoS us when we are trying to heal you. In a team with good healers and tanks its best for most of us to stick together. Wait and regroup before rushing mid solo again. If you are solo guarding and I've come to help you run towards me when you are about to die. I can't help you and watch the node when you go and cower behind the bunker where I can't see you.
  21. I have been subscribed to this game for months and will never go f2p myself. I would BEG Bioware to give recruit gear to f2p players. Its not endgame gear, as a sub I see no reason why they shouldn't get it. I am so tired of seeing players with level 40 greens. I don't want them on my team, I don't even want them on the other team. Give them the recruit gear and let them have a chance at staying alive for more than one second. Then you can encourage them to subscribe and buy WH and EWH. Honestly just having to wear the hideous recruit gear would be enough for me to want to sub and get modifiable gear.
  22. I will comment about the healers and leave the tanking questions for someone else to answer. My main is a 50 sage and I have a scoundrel in the mid 40s. I leveled both as healers and have done a good bit of pve and pvp. Its true that the Scondrel is a lot more mobile. You have 3 instant cast heals including your AoE. The sage only has one small instant heal and then the bubble shield. That being said I never felt like I was not able to heal effectively in PvE on my due to a lack of mobility. Force speed lets you move out of danger and get off a quick heal before you need to move again and you do have things to cast while moving. Most ops like to run with at least one sage healer for the AoE heals. This is the real strength of this class. The sage casts a fixed HoT circle on the ground that will heal up to 8 targets. The scoundrel casts a HoT on a single target that heals up to 4 players next to the target. PvP is a different story. The mobility of the scoundrel really shines here and stealth brings another level of utility for the team. The scoundrel has more stuns and escape options than the sage and is much better at casting under pressure. Sages are ok in pvp but it's much harder to get off heals under pressure if you pug and use a full heal spec. Going hybrid and picking up the bubble stun makes escaping much easier. Personally I prefer my sage, it has that traditional healer feel but I have had lots of fun on my scoundrel. Sage is probabbly better for PvE, scoundrel is probably better for PvP but both are viable for anything if you know how to play them.
  23. I run the same with my healer. How are you getting your PvE set bonus? Right now I'm running with one Battlemaster armoring in a Tionese shell and 1 Campaign armoring. Does anyone run with two campaign armorings?
