  1. Look Buddy! You will pay for it and like it! You got that?! :: punches you in the stomach and steals your lunch money ::
  2. You know that is not what I meant. Planting a bomb and capturing a terminal still requires you to jump into the thick of things and get beat down by overgeared players. My idea was non-combat related roles that helped win the warzone which could be done to avoid direct combat if a player does not feel they can win against overgeared players. Other games have them and they are quite fun. IE, Delivering ammo in a transport, Manning a mounted gun on a ridge, Scavenging parts around the battlefield which can be used to build/repair the transports and mounted guns.
  3. IDEA: Change the objectives in warzones. Add new ways to win the match. Add new non-combat roles that are necessary to perform in order to win the match in that fashion, so that non-geared players can focus on winning the match a way that doesn't require they meet the enemy head on only to get steamrolled by the overgeared players.
  4. TL;DR: Change the objectives in warzones. Add new ways to win the match. Add new non-combat roles that are necessary to perform in order to win the match in that fashion, so that non-geared players can focus on winning the match a way that doesn't require they meet the enemy head on only to get steamrolled by the overgeared players. I think they need to change the Warzone environments and objectives, so that a fresh 50 can focus on using that to do their part. Like if they added vehicles or mounted weapons you could get into and light up the field. Or an objective that almost completely takes the player out of the fight, but does something else important. Let's say the objective was to fly a transport from either end of the field delivering ammo for these mounted guns. But at the same time you needed someone to load the transport with the ammo crates and someone on the other end to reload the mounted weapon for you. Now you just added 4 unique roles in that warzone which are necessary for winning, but have nothing to do with a player's gear. WoW sort of does this with one of their battlegrounds, where you need to go get the catapult and drive it to the opposing faction's base then use it to destroy one of their walls so other players can get into the base. But at the same time, if that catapult keeps getting destroyed before it can take out the wall, the players can resort to jumping on to the airship and parachuting into the base. All I am saying is make multiple ways to win a match. And have those multiple ways include objective roles which don't rely on gear. You will still have players who want to jump into the thick of it and dps deathmatch each other the entire game, which can win them the match if the other side does the same and is outgeared. Or it can lose them the match if that side sees they are outgeared and resorts to other tactics (like flying the transport to deliver ammo or manning a mounted gun up on a ridge or even be the one carrying the ammo and reloading these guns). Maybe even have someone who needs to find the necessary parts to repair the transport in order for another player to fly it. Right now there is only one way to win a warzone, and that is by beating the other team into the ground and capturing the base in that area by clicking on it unopposed for long enough. That is massively boring. Winning a match really comes down to the first minute of the game, as to whether or not you sent enough players to the right areas. Once a team captures two nodes, as long as they defend they win. Therefore the game's outcome was determined within the first minute of the game and there is no hope of turning things around. That is why you see so many people quit a match so early on.

  6. WHAT THE FUNK? Is this true Bioware?! If it is, you need to change this IMMEDIATELY. All gear is supposed to be mirrored on each side, just like the classes and advanced classes. That type of enhancement is way better than the Accuracy plus whatever crap I am seeing so much of on the Imp side. Do we really need 105% accuracy? This needs to be changed now! I always knew Pubs had it easier in the Warzones, and this is just PROOF of that!
  7. What PVP bugs exist? How about mentioning them here. I PVP constantly but I don't really remember running into any huge bugs or exploits. Maybe I am just not focused on that though.
  8. I'm sorry but what are you asking for? I tried to understand that but it just didn't sink in. We definitely need some sort of equipment management, but I'd like to know more about your idea. I'd like to be able to easily switch between PVP and PVE gear without having to individually equip each item every time. Sometimes I like to run PVP in my tank gear and other times in my dps gear.
  9. You know what makes this sound the most fun? THE LEADERBOARDS. Why can't any MMO company get this through their heads? People LOVE organized competition. People love to have something solid to aim for, like a ranking on a leaderboard. If not to be the best among all the other players, then to beat their own times and scores. It's like the Olympics and competiting to beat a World Record, but in video games. I know if I could compare myself to the other players by something other than the gear I wear, I would have so much more interest in this game. People stand around in the fleet to show off their gear, because that is their only way to compare accomplishments after the fact. When WoW added their Achievement System people went NUTS trying to get all the achievements. I think that alone is what saved the game and made it last as long as it has. Without it I think the game would have died a few years ago. I really would love to pull up a leaderboard in game or on the website and see my character's name and ranking in comparison to all the other players who are also competing. It makes all the time and effort spent in game feel like it was worth something, like I achieved something. It gives playing the game a sense of self-worth. I play SWTOR because I am the best on my server. Or I'm the best in the world. Don't believe me? Well check the leaderboards. BAM! Right there it says how great you are compared to the other players. Do you think competition games like Battlefield 3 would be as popular if people weren't able to see their rankings online in real-time? No, they wouldn't. And MMO players love to brag. Boy do they ever love it. Everyone wants to stand out, and that is why they try to get the best gear, or the most unique looking gear. It's the only way they have to show every other player their skill and/or uniqueness. But really, all you need to do to win every competitive player over is build in some sort of Leaderboard competition. The PVP stats attempted this but failed miserably because it doesn't put you into a ranking with other players. Anyone remember grinding for Grand Marshal or High Warlord back in Vanilla WoW pvp? If you had it, you KNEW you were the best since only one person could have it at a time. That is all I am saying, give the players something solid to look at and see their in-game "worth". Rankings and leaderboards would renew so much player interest in this game, because then it goes from casual fun to competitive fun. If people don't have someone to compete against, they lose interest fast. It's one of the basic human needs: To compete against their fellow man. Simple as that.
  10. Well then, I guess F2P will be Luke Skywalker who comes in and saves the day. /Troll_Analogy_Extinguished
  11. You forgot to add a Flux Capacitor and a Super-Zooper-Flooper-Do.
  12. I am not unsubbing because of this, but it's something that greatly diminishes my desire to play. I rerolled back in March when my server was dead, because that is pretty much what customer service told me to do. Now that my old characters are transferred to a heavily populated server, I am still out of luck because that isn't the same server I rerolled on. I refuse to work on two different legacies. It's pointless and frustrating. Not to mention I have so many maxed professions which all of my characters benefit from. I don't want to re-grind all those necessary professions again on another server. If I could get all those characters consolidated on the same server I would be extremely happy. Although the idea of taking the higher level legacy is still stupid, rather than combining the two legacy levels. I have a level 24 legacy and a level 17 legacy. I can understand if they didn't want to make them into a level 41 legacy, but at least put me up to level 30-something. Otherwise all that time grinding that other legacy is overwritten and lost.
  13. ^ It really is just that simple. Keep paying and playing the way you want. If you want to pay to play, then the addition of F2Pers will not affect you. And vice versa. Why do people insist on making a mountain out of a molehill? You're all a bunch of whiney totalbiscuits.
  14. Sorry you're so angry man, but really it's not the end of the world. Going F2P will make this game much better. Like I said before, I had nothing but positive experiences from DCUO's F2P model that I kept paying for my subscription. All those things you complained about were or are being resolved. Anyone who left because of those issues will be replaced by new blood when it goes F2P. Sorry, but the community doesn't care if it has a million new or old members, just as long as it has the population. When the masses assemble, it brings more to the mass. The people who continue to pay will see so much more life and activity in the game, and they will be happy. Then old subscribers will read the forums later down the road and see how happy the current player base is and they will resubscribe. That is exactly what happened with DCUO and it is what will happen with SWTOR. This game is saved thanks to F2P. It will last for many years to come. Thanks Bioware.
  15. I have two DCUO accounts, one paying and one free account. The paid subscriber account definitely gets in faster than the free account. I mean WAY FASTER. The paid one sometimes gets no queue at all, while the free account will sit in a queue of a few thousand people. It's definitely NOT a myth. Why do trolls feel the need to spread lies and misinformation? What do they get out of blatantly steering fellow players in the wrong direction? I guess I will never understand these types of people. Also, as a paying subscriber they don't have my money. They just have my $15 dollars for that month. If I am not happy with the service, I can cancel and pay them nothing. So really, subscribers are a higher priority because they are continually giving them $15 a month, while a F2P player may only spend $5 dollars in the cash shop for the entire year. Your logic is flawed, bro.
