  1. I haven't run into this bug myself, but reading posts about it here and elsewhere, so far Guss seems to be a common thread. He might not always be the visible trigger, but has anyone had this bug who hasn't recruited everyone's favorite con artist?
  2. So, I have discovered that, sadly, the pet reward is not tiny like the critter you have to feed. It isn't taxi sized, but I was hoping for a 'so tiny, so content' outcome. Just FYI in case anyone else is hoping for a baby flirron.
  3. It's for an achievement and pet: https://mmobits.com/2019/10/23/onderon-hidden-achievements-guide/#Flirron-Friend
  4. Now it is just time to QQ about queue. Everyone and their droid is rushing the gate.
  5. I like Korriban as well, it seems to flow best, one area into the next. The city planets are lovely to fly taxi over, but the actual questing is dull. I wish they had more areas open to the sky in the techno-canyon landscape. That would've added a bit more visual appeal.
  6. WoW has critical mass going for it. Played it for a few years, leveled, raided, spent time with a few guilds. The big, huge difference between WoW and everyone else is the simple enormity of the player base. More people to group with, more chances to find a guild that suits you, more people dissecting the game and putting up sites with walk-throughs, specs, item lists, etc. All of that leads to a certain quality of game life that allows WoW to make money -in spite of- the game quality, not because of it. WoW was simply a good enough game that has remained good enough, that came at a time when it managed to catch an amazing chunk of the market, and it is that chunk alone that sustains it in spite of better games coming and going (though part of that is no one realizing that any 'WoW killer' game will still take -years- to actually do so.)
  7. This game needs new people, recent subscription numbers prove that. All games have trolls. I've seen pure P2P (WoW), P2P converted to F2P (Aion), and pure F2P (Allods) communities, and they are all more or less the same. Some folks are nice, some are elitists, some know their stuff, some can't find their arse with a map. Going F2P might encourage the folks who try to sell game currencies for real money to show up (until they get banned hard enough, or find no one buying,) but that's about the only doom of F2P from a community standpoint.
  8. Add another voice to the chorus. I work 3-11, so my prime gaming time runs from roughly 1am to 5am. The typical SWTOR maintenance window cuts right into that, and the fact that it seems to be at least twice a week 9 weeks out of 10, well... Personally, I just wish they could find a way to get it done with. Make it an 8 hour maintenance if need be, just make it once a week. And planned, so I don't need to check the forums every day to know if I ought to bother logging in when I get home from work.
