  1. Ty for the compliment on my suggestions, and yes I agree on the cost. My idea to how it would work is not only do you require the command tier rank itself, you would also need command tokens - FOR EACH TIER - So, say the weapon tuning for example tier 1 - command rank tier 1 + command tokens tier 2 - command rank tier 2 + tier 1 weapon tuning + more command tokens tier 3 - command rank tier 3 + tier 2 weapon tuning + even more command tokens This would be how the upgrades would work on everything I suggested, and tier 3 stuff having really high command token costs would keep them nice and rare on each piece, and something to work towards for people.
  2. What better place for that than this thread then yeah? Also, the response to your signature in the livestream (well what it says, not yours specifically), was LOL. Actually derailed his attention from the stream for a moment.
  3. Oh, good question, something I didn't think of myself (I'm a sub so didn't even cross my mind). Def something hopefully devs respond to.
  4. So, the livestream hit annnndddddd.... The whiners and criers and doomsayers were completely wrong. Cannot emphasize how much I am laughing right now at just how pathetic and stupid this livestream made the whiners look whose assumptions were dead wrong on every account. Not only are ways being added in to target gear for both pve and pvp, both setups are completely reasonable and perfectly fine. Job well done Bioware on the fixes. Now YES, it should have been this way from the start, but hindsight is 20/20 and the fixes are just fine. First I will say again.... LOLOLOL @ whiners being made to look stupid on "RNG forever no changes" assumptions. Now, onto feedback to their questions. The pvp valor requirements. So to this, they wanted ideas to the valor level requirements on tiers, what I think is reasonable is this. Tier 1: Valor 20 Tier 2: Valor 40 Tier 3: Valor 60 These levels are reasonable, still require actual work put into PvP, but nothing too extreme like valor 100 req or anything. PvE Feedback For the non master mode bosses. Well I think only thing you can do is just have a small chance to drop a piece of the tier 3 gear. I mean there's just not really any other ideas for that, at least none that I can think of. Maybe someone else has a wild idea out of nowhere for that? Command Token Uses So for these, add a full suite of "stuff" you can buy with them. Nice things I would like to see: Weapon Tunings (3 tiers, based on command rank tier, upgrade to - tier 1, then 2, then 3) Mounts (3 tiers, upgrade as above) Cosmetic Armor and Weapons (3 tiers, upgrade as above) Titles (3 tiers, upgrade as above) Decorations Unique Color Crystal These are my ideas and feedback to the stream, and hope it helps you devs out getting some neat stuff in. Looking forward to the fixes coming in but I have to ask this. We need a dev response -------ASAP--------- to the current PvP and class imbalances and what changes are incoming as well as response to things such as the current PvP queues getting PvE'ers queueing into ranked, and afking and exploiting /stuck for fast cxp, at the rating loss at others expense. -Antreya
  5. As I said, the system isn't working at all like it used to. Now what the cause is, that is to be determined, be it a bug, something changed, or simply just the flood of pve trash flooding the system for AFK/stuck cxp farming. The more people that post in what they are seeing with their own 2 eyes in their queues, the more of a grasp we can get onto what FUBAR'd the system completely and, if we get some lottery luck, maybe just get a dev response or even some kind of bandaid fix for these broken beyond belief queues. At this point even the tiniest bandaid to this mess would be more than welcome. Ontop of these jacked queues, all these afk and /stuck cxp farmers flooding rateds need to be banned and cleaned out of that mess too. So many people are having their ratings and work in rated ruined because of this crap, and it should have been actioned by now for sure. I def feel for the people playing rateds to pvp having their matches ruined by these idiots.
  6. They really need to, and it doesn't need to be light punishment either. It needs to be full permanent bans for crap like this, make a full example out of these idiots who think it's funny to ruin other peoples rating and experience for their cxp cheesing.
  7. Not at all what I'm talking about. The queues worked as they always had -pre 5.0- key words there. -Post- 5.0 is where I have seen the problem to such an extreme degree. Pre 5.0 never had these issues anywhere even remotely close to what I have seen this past week or so. Just today for example, out of over 20 queues, only 4 matches or so were actually playable. The rest? lol nope, full premades (including a few matches of known queue exploiters getting in two 4-man premades against, you guessed it, all pug no healer) against all pug teams, no healer, vs teams with up to 3 healers. The queues are an absolute mess right now to such a degree that no, in fact, didn't happen like this pre 5.0, not to this consistency that at high luck 20% of queues are even remotely playable games, if you're lucky. The rest? Just leave and try again, complete waste of time. Whatever has gotten the queues off kilter hopefully gets fixed and at the very least gets things back to pre 5.0 queues with at least some playable matches, rather than leaver slot machine queues where you hope you jackpot into a partially playable match that doesn't queue all pug no heal against full premade teams.
  8. Has anyone else noticed this trend happening since 5.0. Right now at a rate of 3 out of 4 matches, I am seeing a full team of random pugs get queued up against teams with premade groups, usually 4 man, as well as healers, whereas the random pug team doesn't have a healer at all. This isn't just happening in the 8 man wz's either, it's especially happening in arenas with 4 random dps being queued against 4 man premades with tank healer. That situation I saw 3 times in a row last night, 3 different 4 man teams, all 3 games 4 random dps no healer. Don't know about anyone else, but I'm so sick of these matches that were a failure out of the gate because the queue system is completely broken/bugged right now, but this desperately needs to be fixed. I won't comment on rateds because everyone by now knows how much of a pathetic joke those are right now with the pve cxp farmers using /stuck to exploit rateds for fast cxp. Regular wz queues though need a hotfix patch or full patch fix or something, because the queue system is failing completely since 5.0 hit, be it bug or bad change, or whatever happened to it. Anyone else getting caught up in these queue problems? Or is it only certain people and not others? More information we get from what people are seeing first hand, the faster the problem can be rooted out and hopefully fixed for everyone to get the queues back on track.
  9. The defender lego set itself is already viewable on the lego site and it's already beginning circulation. Personally I have the fury set and it's a favorite of mine. The exclusive malgus fig was a nice touch and one of a kind far as lego minifigures go. I do wonder if eaware will make a lego fury and defender pet available ingame through the market. Would be a pretty good thing to throw up on the market and I imagine quite a few people would CC buy it.
  10. Read my above post to answer some of your questions but I will go into some more detail for you. You said you see the problem as being GPU, this is the reason for it. As I stated above, the virtual hyperthreaded cores on their absolute prime best day, will only run at an absolute max of maybe 70-80% efficiency of a physical core - and that is pushing it. The problem comes from this, these cores aren't working at the same speed of efficient rate as the physical cores, so MMO's such as this and most others get hung up on this. The reason why? Well, games are still coded in 32 bit pretty much, and game engines that are multi code aware are rare (NOTE: Battlefield 3 actually IS multicore aware, it is one of the few games that is). Now with this, game devs basically rig their engines to have a sort of... "faux" awareness of cores - meaning - they force them to be kinda sorta maybe multi core aware to split up some of the processing tasks between the cores to increase performance. This is where the issue happens. You see unlike a program such as photoshop, or video rendering which are SPECIFICALLY designed to be COMPLETELY multicore aware - both physical AND intel virtual -, they are programmed to split up tasks in such a way that even the less efficient virtual cores on intels do not have any issues processing data and increase performance. With games? Not so much. What you have is still to this day lower grade bit engines that do not have this programmed ability to split the tasks up without issue, so these game engines for MMO's get "hiccuped"(pro term right? ) because they aren't splitting the tasks smartly and it causes what you could call desync issues between the servers and your comp - IE: one foot waiting for the other, so to say. You can sometimes get cases where some people get around this through a random luck combination of pure net power, or even some programs on their comp taking up the virtual cores as their background resource so the MMO's aren't using them, but as you saw in another post, others disable the hyperthreading to help with the problem. End of the day however, the real solution is to just not buy an i7 UNLESS as I stated in other posts, you do a lot of rendering, encoding, and photo work - in that case, they are beneficial. For everyone else however, there is no gain to be had going from an i5 to an i7, it just causes problems at the end of the day. Oh and to answer some questions about other games and BF3 specifically. As I stated, BF3 actually was coded to be multi core aware, so like a photo program and what not, it splits up side tasks to other cores within reason, so unlike an mmo being server chained, it does not have performance issues and actually benefits from multi core. For other games, say for example I dunno, Starcraft 2? Well, these games can use other cores, but in actuality 99.99% of games right now that CAN use another core, will only use ONE other core, so they never even touch the hyperthreaded cores of the i7, hence, no issue. The rest of the cpu use in those kinds of cases is just everything else on your comp being pushed to the other cores / cpus being utilized by windows and all, normal games however just can kinda piggyback a second core for some backup. This is the kind of reason why I, personally, believe in one and only one thing when it comes to processors - architecture is king and the end all. This is why I don't use AMD, Intel architecture per core is for the past many years, vastly superior to AMD so for gaming it's just the (opinion) best choice, and of course, the i5 over the i7 unless you do above stated specific programs. In that kind of case however, I fully support someone buying an AMD more core processor, you will see wonderful performance gains in rendering and what have you with amd for those kinds of things, and more power to you for it. End of the day performance difference between the brands tier to tier though, is usually only a few frames in a game, so it's not really much of a difference. But hey, least for me, I wanted the top end capability for what I do, who doesn't right? So for that, my i5 was a completely victory for me, performs always to top end, and I put the $100 saved towards getting my M4 ssd instead of a mechanical hdd, god do I love having an ssd lol. Hope my long "WALL OF TEXT RAWR" posts help clear up some things for some people about these processors, and perhaps help that other poster decide what processor they will choose to go with for their new build ~
  11. Read my post before about this to give you a lot of answers. To resay however, hyperthreading has massive compatibility issues with game engines because they are not coded to be directly compatible with the differing process rates of the physical cores on the i7, and the less efficient hyperthreaded virtual cores of the i7(hyperthreaded virtual cores at best only get up to MAYBE 70-80% of a physical core). This disparity in the processing rate is what causes the performance issues because it is basically "hiccuping" the processing, which will cause the gaming FPS issues and "stutter" that will be the most common issue. HOWEVER. You do say you are using photoshop and illustrator. As I stated before, when it comes to things such as rendering, encoding, and photo editing, the virtual cores of an i7 WILL make a difference in performance - this is why even the inferior vishera AMD processors excel at these, because of the extra "half" cores that architecture has that these programs are SPECIFICALLY MADE to be able to take advantage of. Having said that, the actual real world difference in performance between an i7 and i5 will be small - maybe a few seconds off rendering times. It is a difference, but if you game, I completely suggest going with the i5 if you want that "make sure" compatibility. I stated my rig in my other post, I have an i5-3570k, a gigabyte windforce GTX 670, a Crucial M4 256gb ssd, and I'll even add in I use 8gb of GSKILL ARES 1600 ram, and this game gives me no issues at all, no performance issues, no fps problems even on packed fleet. The worst I see is the grass stutter issue on voss that is a game coded problem directly, and that's about it. I also have other games such as Planetside 2 - MAXED OUT, and get perfect fps in that at all times, despite how most of the playerbase complains about fps issues. I have RTS's I play, maxed out, no issues, rpg's, racing games, etc, all maxed out - no issues. This should be more than enough information and example of my own personal rig to help you make your decision. Good luck.
  12. It actually IS your pc. The problem is your 3770k. This game, much like most MMO's and many games, does not play well with hyperthreading on intel i7's, it actually causes decreased performance. Oh and for comparison, I have an i5-3570k, GTX 670, Crucial M4 256gb ssd, game maxed out and it runs at perfect fps at all times, I never see any slowdown or fleet or anything, only minor, occasional stutter on say voss with the grass issue everyone gets hit by on maxed out settings. I have the game maxed out, 1080p at all times. On a side note, I am guessing you do a lot of rendering or data encoding? The hyperthreading on i7's is terrible for gaming, but nice if you do a ton of encoding and rendering and all, but for me personally I passed on the i7 and instead went with the ivy i5 simply because of the common performance degredation issue hyperthreading causes on a ton of games. Hope this info helps, but understand, there is no fix or workaround for the compatibility issues with game engines and hyperthreading, that would of course require a games engine being coded specifically for direct compatibility with hyperthreading. As it stands, a multi core aware engine just sees any core, physical or virtual, as a core, and virtual hyperthreaded cores do not process at the same rate as physical ones, hence the performance issues in games it causes.
  13. Boba Fett did not die in ep 6. He got out of the sarlacc and ended up in it a few times before he blew it up. He even became a mandalore after ep 6 as well as a whole bunch of other story around him. Has a lightsaber for some reason, teaches Han's kid how to use a lightsaber, that kinda stuff.
  14. I run the game at absolute max settings and never see a slowdown or slow loading screen ever no matter where I am. Planets, wz's, full fleet, it makes no difference at all. Ivybridge i5-3570k Gigabyte Windforce GTX 670 Crucial M4 256gb SSD I built my rig ground up but that's the 3 primaries in my rig.
  15. Silver is the color I've been waiting for, but the other color I would really like to see ingame is Teal.
