  1. I get your point. I was suggesting just adding time. Not extrapolate the dps. and It would also be a temporary state. I'd request that player to submit another parse.
  2. So I noticed this last night and thought about it a little. Some of the submitted parses are shorter than 5 minutes. I think we should make an effort to keep them at least 5. So I will go through all the submitted parses and change the time cut so that they meet the criterion of 5 minutes. If someone has a parse that is less than 5 minutes then I will add the extra time needed to make it five. I also would request please check your parse to make sure its at least 5 minutes. Thank you for your co-operation
  3. Updated. Got a better parse.... almost 5 minutes (10 seconds shorter. I dont think anyone would object at that. Lot of the parses are around 280-290 seconds duration. 1953.02

  5. From the crit percentage it looks like it is on the PTS. We are waiting for 2.0 to come live before we take that in because they might change stuff around.

  7. Yes. There is a small group of people on this server who enjoys open world PvP. If there was someway to involve other people in events such as this one, that would be great. But I haven't seen anything work very well yet. May be the issue is people who are used to PvE (like me) has an objective driven way of thinking and don't find open world PvP attractive enough. Or may be as open world PvP involves more 1v1, people feel their class is at a disadvantage (now this statement is going to start a huge debate. FYI I said 'may be' and 'feel' and I am not getting into a debate)
  8. I agree with Rsuhandy. If all of us can use Torparse that will make the list more robust. Also you can get rid of the last 10 seconds of the parse by selecting the parse time in torparse which is useful. We have got good response from the republic players of the Server. Players from the empire please participate.
  9. Thank you Scyn for pointing out the error. I am sorry. I corrected it. Melyn can you please upload that log into torparse? It also shows the rotation which might help a lot of people. Also please give a parse link for your gunslinger if you can. Then I can post it. Thanks for the response guys.
  10. Thank you Ushanev for posting your parse. The damage in PTS will certainly be higher. But I guess they might still change things a little bit so I think we should wait for 2.0 to come live.
  11. Best of luck friend. There was a bounty board. That got a very good reaction. But the problem is there is a very selected group of people on this server who will get excited with open world PvP which is not surprising considering this is a RP server. But if you can get people outside that group involved it will be great achievement.
  12. We have had enough experience with 2.0 to get a basic idea how to build our toons for PvE. Now its time to share our ideas with the community. Please post your parse on the level 55 operations training dummy and lets find out who comes with the best build for their respective class. Rules stay the same: 1. At least 5 minutes parses on the operations training dummy. 2. Upload your combat log in Torparse.com and share the link in your post. 3. The dummy should only have your class armor debuff (if any). This means if you are a trooper you can not have the gunslinger or guardian armor debuff on the dummy. 4. This thread is not intended to bruise or boost ego. Everyone knows its just a dummy. Real fights involve many more variables. Its purpose is to set a reference in the ideal condition. If you are matching that in a real fight it means you are doing something right. 6. You can share your build if you want to. I am sure some players will appreciate that. 7. Relics and adrenals are allowed so are all 4 class buffs. Nightmare Pilgrim buff is also allowed. But buffs from other players in the group such as inspiration is not allowed. 2.0 leader board Pre 2.0 leader board (To appreciate their contribution)
  13. People complain because you get the same premade team over and over again if you keep finishing every match and then queue again. Thus people learn to leave mid match and queue immediately to avoid that premade. Once everyone learns that trick the ranting will subside (I think). It is commendable to group up and do PvP. It makes it more fun. But not everyone is part of an active PvP guild. And if there are couple of teams out there doing PvP most of the prime playing time some poor PuG team is going to get face-rolled and would be forced to stop playing for a while just to avoid the frustration. Is there a cure? May be. But I dont think BW cares about this issue that much to take any immediate action. So if you are getting the same premade for more than 1 match in a row quit the WZ and re queue and you should be fine. Or try some PvE for half an hour or so and then go back to PvP. Why do you think the ranked system is dead..... because the number of 'organized' team is very low. and as long as there is nothing for the 'non-organized' people in the ranked system, it will stay dead.
  14. I understand that to make a commando dps viable for 1v1 or even 2v2 a lot need to be changed, but this game is not designed for 1v1 or even 2v2. In team PvP commandos can pull their weight. I stay within top 2 damage in almost every WZ i go in (exceptions are there such as when the team is facerolling the opponent and I get stuck with guarding duty or you end up with multiple smash gurdians in group but there are exceptions to everything). So I think a jump immunity after the push back will improve quality of life of a commando significantly. For all those posts discussing this, could you please post some links. Time for math.... with my current build if I aim for 100% accuracy I end up with 27% crit unbuffed. If I can give up some accuracy i can get 31% crit unbuffed. Now Full auto crits about 35% (current build) and full auto is about 35% of my full damage. My surge is 76%. if curtain of fire auto crits i get a 65% more crit (assuming all full auto is proc'ed) on Full auto which will give 75% more damage on that 65% more crit. So it will increase the over all damage by 0.35*0.65*0.75=0.17. So you are right. that will probably make a commando op. Thanks for pointing that out. May be a crit buff of 20% will be more appropriate giving a dps boost of 3.2% which will result in overall increase of 50 dps. Lets see how the 100% accuracy helps out with dps. With full auto always hitting a build with 97% accuracy is good enough. With that we can increase crit by 4% while keeping surge at 75%. that should result into an more ammo regen from crit and slight increase in damage may be 2% = 30-35. so an over all increase of 85 damage. That seems reasonable. What do you think?
  15. There have been lot of rantings in the forums to buff and/or nerf every class out there. My purpose here is not to rant. I have been playing a commando both in PvP and PvE for a while (Valor 71 and 5/5 HM TFB). I feel the dps commando needs couple of changes. I just want to see how the community feels about these issues. PvP: 1. Concussion charge should put a jump immunity on the casting commando for 3-4 seconds to prevent the JK/Mirror class from immediately jumping back to the commando. Justification: Except for Hutt ball, concussion charge is a defensive move for the commando. (We don't need concussion charge to break any capping. We have enough aoe for that) So it should give us at least 2 GCDs to create some distance between the JK/mirror class when we use concussion charge. I am not asking for an aoe root (which is very annoying) I am only asking for a jump immunity for couple of GCDs. 2. For PvP there should be an option to reduce the duration of reactive shield while increasing the damage mitigation. Instead of 12 seconds of 25% (I can never survive that long without a healer with an attacker on my back) let's say 6 seconds for 50% protection. PvE: I have been having this debate with a guildie for a while now. Commando dps lags about 150 DPS behind a sentinel and gunslinger (ok my goal is not to stir up controversy here. this is the feel i get from Average dps numbers posted on different parsing websites). Commando does have a lot of utilities: cleanse, off heal and killer aoe but with NiM Denova in mind you don't want your character to lag in DPS. So here is my proposal: 1. Curtain of fire will auto-crit full auto and make full auto 100% accurate. Justification: We keep our accuracy up near 100% to make sure that full auto ticks do not miss. With this buff we can sacrifice some accuracy and push crit a little bit higher to increase over all damage by may be 50-60. That will result in a dps lag of 50-100 which is acceptable considering all the utilities commando brings in the group. What do you guys think?

I'd like to thank everyone involved in yesterday's (September 27) Ranked war zones and special thanks to the organizers Ray, Reaper, DOA members (pardon me for my very bad memory) and everyone else. It was a lot of fun because the teams were balanced. The Voidstar match went down to the wire. I hope we can arrange these more frequently.
