OK i have a few theories i will explain each of them: Theory 1: the republic defeats the empire Evidence for: .we don't see the sith empire in any books or novels which take place after the SWTOR period nor do we see any purebloods. .Obi wan said, "For over a thousand generations, the jedi knights were the guardians of peace and justice of the old republic" implying that the republic never fell before palp. Evidence against: .Palpatine said "Once more the sith will rule the galaxy" suggesting that at one point in time the sith ruled the galaxy. .Only 20 people (now its 21 because ahsoka left the order after she got framed) in the history of the jedi order have left it. the jedi order by the time swtor happens, is like 20,000 years old. dont you find that a bit suspicious. It seems more likely that no less than 100 have left the order and that the sith empire destroyed pretty much destroyed the jedi order. Theory 2: the empire defeats the republic, rules for some time, and is overthrown by a rebel alliance Evidence for: .palp said "once more the sith will rule the galaxy" .there are many striking similarities between the galactic empire and the sith empire over 3 millenia ago. 1st of all, the harrower dreadnaught looks similar to the imperial star destroyer 2nd of all the starfighters used by the sith empire are similar to the TIE fighters. Lastly, the eclipse, the conqueror, and the sovereign might have been based off of similar superweapons by the sith empire which would have been more difficult if they didn't conquer the galaxy Evidence against: .what happened to the purebloods? If they didnt get wiped out by the pubs then what happened to them? .we hear no mention of the sith empire supposedly conquering the jedi beforethe galactic empire Theory 3: the sith empire find out about the emperor's true plan and attempt to evacuate themselves, the voss, some of the gree, and at least 2 of each race. To do this, they build an ark built for intergalactic travel. The republic eventually stops the emperor but not before the empire makes the long exodus for a new home Evidence for: .it certainly explains why there are no purebloods left. They all evacuated the galaxy .it also explains why we don't see any voss in any future novels to come .we don't hear of any mention whatsoever of the hypergate on asation so maybe all the gree who knew about it were on the ark Evidence against: .how did the empire build an ark so quickly? The only thing that could produce such a thing in enough time is the star forge which was destroyed. .how did the empire prevent the republic from finding out if the ark is known to the public? .the reason sith haven't formed a truce with the repblic and instead focus on other galaxies is because the sith not only want the galaxy but also revenge on the jedi. Though one could suppose that the empire thought the jedi would be killed in the emperor's ritual so they left

I am beginning to see a different problem. The citizens got dependent on the clones for protection instead of going to war. sure many pubs would die but the republic wouldnt be in danger of getting bankrupt. In some of the more padme-centered CW episodes, you find out that the republic was asking for bank loans from the IG banking clan to get more troops. By the end of senate murderers, a bill has been passed allowing 5 million clones to be produced. Although with 5 million clones, the sepratists have to try harder to win but if the republic passes too many bills authorizing the production of clones, they will go bankrupt with every planet of the former republic for itself. At that point the sepratists need only conquer each planet one by one.

See, that's the Republic's greatest weakness. It is too concerned with civilians. It is quite clear that one side is gaining the upper hand while the other is destracted with their weakness. Chapters 1-3 involved each of the republic classes striking devastating blows to the empire while all the imperial classes were just killing off their rivals, becoming champion of the great hunt, or eliminating a third party conspiracy none of which devastated the republic. By the time we reach lvl 50, the empire is on its last legs and the republic is on a short road to victory. All of that changed when Malgus decided to take advantage of the missing emperor and seize the throne. Many soldiers and sith from various species supported him. Malgus was defeated and with him, his revolution. His revolution has however inspired like-minded people like marr to stand up and say, "Alright the Emperor is dead. What do you wanna do? Get defeated by the republic or take the empire into our own hands.". That's when things began to change. For the 1st time aliens are joining the ranks of the imperial military and sith began to realize that in order to win they must stand united against the republic. Now here's where the republic gets destracted in its weakness. On makeb, while the republic was busy defeating toborro and evacuating Makeb's citizens, the empire was finding a way to get a rare miniral called isotope 5. After toborro dies at the hands of the republic, the republic spent the entire staged weekly evacuating citizens before makeb's "destruction" while the empire spent the stage weekly making sure that the republic doesn't find out about their mining operations of isotope 5. When CZ-198 entered lockdown, the republic attempted to stop that guy responsible for the lockdown (cant remember his name) while the empire wanted all of CZ-198's dark secrets. On Oricon, after the dread masters fall, as an imperial character you can either destroy all the dreadmasters built or you can claime their technology because it could be needed for the war. The republic ending, being cooler involves:

I agree, I could make the dread guard and the dread Host into an army with me leading it from the dread palace. My IA can find the plans for that fleet i destroyed and conquer the galaxy MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA. The republic will be no more and at last i will be giving orders to the dark council not vice versa.

I aggree the only one I disaggree on is the new republic era. I don't fan it for the most part but i do enjoy the legacy era. Darth Krayt and his one sith mark the official end of the rule of two. karayt restored the sith to their former glory. one sith means rule of one. one as in one ring (one sith to rule them all. the rule of two only allowed 2 sith to exist (master and apprentice).
