Basically they are going F2P cuz they think their losing money so they want more people to play they havnt seem to figure out that they can GET MUCH MORE SUBSCRIBERS if they just FIXED THE GAME and LISTENED TO THEIR consumers but its more for the instant cash grab of were losing money make it f2p and focus only on making cash its sad that video game companies care so *********** little for the players and only about how much cash they can rake in. IF IT IS A GOOD GAME THE PEOPLE WILL PAY TO PLAY BUT IF YOU MAKE IT **** PEOPLE WILL BE HESITANT ON PAYING and then you get the f2p model to grab more payers cuz they dont want to work on the game

I think the only thing that really hurts us the most is the Armour nerf, we might as well be tanking nude hoping our shield procs mitigate damage and if it cant we really have nothing but our soft skin to take the hit. I would like to see Bioware add more threat instead of damage to some of the talents and give us back our armour we feel nude without it

Up in smoke Idk how this would do at lvl 50 but it basically utilizes all the fun stuff in every spec Force speed CD and root remove in darkness force regen n maul with +10 force n blackout regen and then deathfield with instant WW and raze procs. If someone at 50 could try this out and see if its viable would be appreciated *EDIT didnt look at upsies i swear i looked after good build though as well.*

Ive noticed people farely close to me as stealth isnt as potent as it could be but if you use blackout and force speed no one can see you for 2-4 seconds but stealth is stealth its the same for all stealth regardless of levels my 18 smuggler has stood in front of some 48's and not been seen but i know the stealth visual range so i try to stay far enough away until i want to engage
  6. so again im assuming gear means nothing cuz i can hit 3.4-4.5ks on other assassins n lower geared players makes sense

You can take statistics into play all you want and scew my point but it remains the same assassinate does not feel like a worthy <30% kill shot it feels more like back blast or another spell like stock strike and i say again IT FEELS like every other classes 6s CD therefor i still think the damage on it could be increased to make us more like glass cannons and feel satisfaction in using that assassinate move when they get low hp
  8. my point exactly they have the same stats so why does an under 30% have the same damage as a regular spammable 6s CD youve missed the point entirely not to mention backblast is such a cheap move what is it 15 energy on a 6s CD and usable at full hp that sounds more potent then my 25 force under 30% 6s CD assassinate but of course not to mention me being 42 and having more talents has nothing to do with it at all and the fact that my scoundrel doesnt have any damage buffing talents specced currently to increase backblasts damage. now to both of you i say ugghh

I think this is more then just a simple problem with the game, i believe their are internal affairs at work here as well witch are preventing Bioware from doing what they want, not to mention doesnt EA also have their title on The Secret World witch was released June 19, then patch 1.3 hits on the 26th nerfing our class to almost the point of not rolling one. I dont know if this is just luck or if EA actually made Bioware do this. All i know for sure is their are problems and either they are being ignored by the devs/higher up (most likely higher up) or they simply havnt found a way to fix it. But knowing bioware im sure its not the latter, witch shows with the lead designer saying "oh you guys just suck at the class we made it fine" Now to hopefully help deception assassins in PVP and PVE i would like to contribute some input into the class, I wont provide numbers because everything looks good on paper its not until you factor in RNG and real world mechanics and physics that you can see the finished product but heres my thoughts so far, (excuse some WoW terminology its but deceptions reminds me of WoW rogues so much) 1. Assassinate: For a <30% finisher move it really doesn't feel as strong as it should for being usable only <30% of their hp. To me personally i get the idea of a finisher move, one ment to be used after you have worked on them and are looking for a nice big hit to finish things off nicely. Now from my testing (42 assassin full 40 pvp gear with 42 pvp weapon VS 16 scoundrel in well level 12 gear and 10 weapons) Assassinate hits for on average the same as my backblast on my scoundrel witch is usable at anytime and only has a 6s CD on it. Now this is taken from an average of about 30 WZs with varying classes against and such but well use Marauders as my standard targets for an average. 2.The Lone Wolf class: Now personally i have no problems with this and understand where your coming from. The class has some high burst potential with stealth and restealths and are the only class with a sprint buff (excluding sorcs unless theres a class that has one and ive never seen). But our vanish is on a 3min cd 2 if your spec into it witch most should but for deceptions its a bigger tool then any other spec, and with Marauders having a 45s vanish really makes me cry because ours in comparison is crap, and smugglers have one too. In other words ours doesnt feel any more special or viable then a smugglers or marauders so why should someone pick us over them. Damage of maras and smugglers is also much higher and more sustained then ours (smugglers get a 45s energy restore move on a 30s cd? wait wut!! and fury for maras give them a nice window of unfettered hurt on 2 targets too! ouch!) My suggestions? Make the deception vanish talent higher up and add 1 more minute to the CD reduction of it so our vanish would only be on a 1 min CD keeping it on par with our shroud. It would give Deceptions that much needed restealth for either more force regen ( witch could solve the force starvation issues) or as an escape tool so you can Hit and Run. 3.Hit and Run: Alright so were to hit and run sounds easy on paper but not in game. Too many classes have knockbacks that snare, mainly the ranged classes. Witch i get your ranged you dont want melee all up in your grill all the time, but with the current state of deception we get snared and we have to trinket or die before it runs out. The snares leave us sitting there useless looking at our hp drop as a sniper fires off on you. Now Force Speed is a great tool with great utility potential, One problem roots n snares make it useless because you cant move, slows make it only about half as potent as it should be and has a very short duration for its CD. My suggestions? the 2 talents in the darkness tree for reduce CD on it and making it remove impairements and our force shroud last longer ARE PERFECT for deception but are for some reason in a tanking tree O.o? wait wut? tanks need high utility and mobility and snare removers in pve? doesnt your free trinket do that for you. Why are these 2 talents not mixed together and made into one and put high up in deception. IT IS PERFECT to add that much needed utility to allow us to hit and RUN or even just run if need be. 4. Patch 1.3: Something i will never understand, Darkness was in due need of a nerf because they were basically unkillable nukes, and i agree thats not what an assassin should be, an assassin shouldnt be a tank period but you believe we can do it in light armour, well after 1.3 no armour essentially. For 1.3 you target the ASSASSINS armour and self heals, this ment that not only did darkness get the nerf it needed but the other 2 specs also suffered greatly from this as they are not even tank specs but pure damage making us so called glass cannons. Well that armour nerf absolutely crushed deception i have to spec into the armour talent now just to not get 2 shotted. Madness self heals were possible too OP at the time i really couldnt say i found i was dying if people wanted to kill me still. My suggestions? Why did you not focus on what made the darkness tree so powerful, The self heals and the DAMAGE, i notice i pull stupid amounts of damage as darkness because alot of talents increase damage of my moves flat out. Now why did you not just remove the damage aspect of these talents and just increase the threat generation, This game needs threat tanks not Damage tanks. Maybe nerf the FL talent to not give hp back? IMO it would bring the balance the class needs without overpowering it. 5. Glass Cannon: Really not much else to be said here other then we need more damage to fulfill the cannon end of our glass cannon title. My Marauder easily pulls more damage then my assassin AND has 2 damage reduction CDs 3 with warzone adrenal and ive literally hit maras lower levels and less geared then me on my sin for 40-70 damage on some high moves maybe 130 or so if its a force move that crits. I really dont see that Cannon aspect of us at all except on other sins or lower geared players, and thats only because of a gear difference witch means other classes get essentially a damage buff on him as well. Overall our damage just isnt comparable to any other AC hybrid like us or any other pure dps. My suggestions? Look at our base stats, maybe increase our melee damage since force hits much harder then our melee? i cant really say what can be done here just that i know force hits MUCH harder then melee making me feel more like a melee sorc then anything not an assassin who is supposed to slice people, i find myself shocking em to death more because of VS My suggestions so far after some serious thought, I do hope bioware looks over this and atleast considers my options or comes up with better ones because of it i just love this class so much its so unique and is the only reason i really play this game id hate to see it go in the toilet
  10. Another thing about assassins, Assassination ment to be a killshot but feels just as powerfull as any other 6s cd move. maybe making it feel more like a real killshot by buffing the damage more since its only usable under 30% hp

  12. I do not see a single point in having a Lone Wolf class in this massive team based game, it makes absolutely no sense. Not only that but hit and run mechanics? since when has hit and run worked in PvE please if you are so inclined to tell us we suck at our class and simply cant play it then please do tell how this hit and run mechanic is viable in PvE. Last time I checked when I "ran" in PvE the mob would evade and reset, I would still be dying. PvP Lone Wolf is another thing, I understand 1v1 we should win and yea we should, but only if their undergeared and not a tank/dps hybrid AC like us, because their in heavy armour dishing out stupid damage being more of a Lone Wolf because he doesnt need to worry about 1v1ing and picking his fights. Ive watched powertechs just roll over teams as DPS spec because they were geared. OP has a valid point alot of the deception threads asking for buffs to some abilities are not because we want to be the FOTM we just want to be able to stand on some solid ground with the other classes that share our AC roll. 1.3 Nerfs: i understand you wanted to nerf the OP darkness sins in PvP and future PvE content, but im still at a severe loss as to why you nerfed the CLASS and not the darkness tree? Perhaps you can enlighten us on the reason why the other 2 specs had to suffer armour loss on an already light armour class not only that but we are the only light armour class so our other 2 specs had poor armour compared to any other class. Why didnt the dev team target the things that were too strong in the darkness tree and not just slap the AC in the face with the nerf stick. The more i try to understand biowares changes to assassins the more i realize id have better luck understanding why pots illegal.

Can you focus more on maybe the game and its mechanics that dont work and how much you need to make the game more interesting because I TOTALLY WANT A NEW COMPANION thats like what i ABSOLUTELY WANT right now. no that is by far the last thing i want from this game. Do you listen to anyone on the forums or are we all just trolls here doing nothing but wasting time trying to make a game decent and help fix things and what does bioware care about, YOUR COMPANIONS my god! Please lay off the meth pipe and wake up this game has potential and still hasnt failed but you need to listen TO YOUR CUSTOMERS because they are the ones THAT CARE, we play these classes we see how they react in PvE and PvP, your designer minds are too busy trying to just slap a hot fix while you develop new companions to socialize with. Your customers are getting pissed and it shows in the drop of subs, not just that but with each patch more problems, more nerfs for no reason, and it all comes out of nowhere with no real heads up and no way to let the public know whats going on with development of the mechanics of the game. like maybe if you listened just realized that the trolls have almost all died and that people are hoping this game wakes up and starts listening to the people that matter
  15. 1. How do you think your Assassin spec is perceived by other classes? as a mediocre off tank with some dps properties. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? A weak pve tank with poor damage capabilities and survivability. Since patch 1.3 i do not see assassins roll tank in pve FPs very often and when i do they dont do as good as the other tank classes. however in pvp i see EVERY assassin as darkness. why? quite simple its the only decent/viable spec the assasssins have for pvp right now with some good damage and amazing force regen compared to the other specs. When i started playing i picked the inquisitor because of the description for them, when i read that they did massive damage with dual bladed lightsabers i got excited and wanted a true stealthy dps toon that would be fragile and mobile with high burst. what do i end up recieving? a wet paper bag. my damage is absolutely atrocious and how bioware can sit back and assume they have done good with this spec is beyond me ive quit my assassin and have started an operative whos damage and energy regen far outbalances my assassin by any means not to mention i have self heals so i rarely die, oh yea did i mention that my most damage moves cost maybe 10 energy and i get an energy regen that i can keep up constantly with more CC then my assassin. the only thing my assassin has over ANY class is sprint and thats about it. i really think the damage trees need a buff to make them either more viable or just as viable as the darkness tree thereby giving assassins more freedom to play the game then make cookies with the same generic cutter specs like wow has been doing as of late TL;DR darkness more viable in pvp then other dps specs, no pve darkness tanks. remove darkness make it a dps tree? or just balance out the dps trees/force regen issues
