  1. I know you can create "Ops groups" that are max 32 players but I think you are prevented from gaining experience from certain quest types. Hopefully someone with more experience can tell you for sure.
  2. The planet loading screens are a bit long but considering how big the planets are I'm not too bothered by it. The quest instances are seamless for loading, they did a great job on that compared to Age of Conan's similar implementation with its Destiny Quests.
  3. Thanks for the response! Reusable stims seems like a market killer. I'm leveling Artifice and Armoring on two seperate characters. The crystals don't sell at all for the Artifice but the ear implants do move in spurts. None of my mods sell for Armoring, I've even listed them at 100 credits just to test. The stats on blues don't seem to be very good compared to some greens that I've gotten in a quest reward or drop though. It's all level based of course - I get that.
  4. Hi, I've been playing for little over four weeks and having a jolly good time. The narrative is quite wonderful, especially on the Imperial side, and a bit of a surprise considering it's an MMO. I've been leveling a DPS and Tank on the Imperial side and currently have them around level 30. I do have some general questions which I'm hoping you veterans can assist me with: 1. I'm finding having enough credits to be an issue. When doing a Google search on this topic it seems everyone recommends grinding out dailies. I don't mind grinding but I hate the thought of grinding quests. I'd much rather farm mobs/mats,is there an area to do this effectively? 2. Am I crazy or is the economy terrible? Is it completely level 50 focused? Basic things like stims are hard to find. Am I looking in the wrong place? Should I be using the trading tab? 3. What's up with reusable stims? They've been too expensive for me so I haven't bought them but are they forever reusable or simply a set number? 4. I don't quite get Orange gear. Should I be focusing on upgrading mods for orange gear or doing Flashpoints and Heroics for blue/purple drops? Is the intention here to give people a choice on how to level gear? 5. I've been trying to level crafting and sell my blues on the market. People aren't buying though. Am I missing something? Seems like a credit sink. 6. Should I be emphasizing fortitude gear/weapons on my Tank or stick to my primary stat? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
  5. That has not been my experience. Of the three characters I've rolled, none have had more than 20k at level 25. I'm also buying gear I want from the specialty vendors, GTN, and stims.
  6. Hey Brewsum, I agree that the buildings are quite large and require quite a bit of running around. It's a time sink, pure and simple. You'll get the option to ride a speeder at level 25, which helps a lot, but it's quite a money sink. The riding skill itself is 35,000 credits and if you didn't get a free speeder with a digital deluxe or collectors edition then you'll have to shell 10s of thousands to purchase a speeder from the vendor. The huge buildings do seem to be consistent with the lore presented in the Old Republic comics and games though.
  7. I'm relatively new to the game but I had no idea green gear was looked down upon for Flashpoints. Is that only for hard mode? I've done a few different Flashpoints with the LFG and though we had some wipes the groups have been very helpful and considerate. I saw one instance of a guy quitting because someone who hadn't done it before didn't want to space through the dialogue, but we were able to quickly replace them with the LFG tool.
  8. Qui-Gon made several serious mistakes here: 1. Going into a flashpoint with just a companion. Obviously didn't know about the LFG tool. 2. Wearing green gear. I expect with purple he would not have been chopped in half(spoiler). 3. Not binding most of his abilities. I mean, all he really kept spamming there was Strike and Slash. Used Force Jump maybe once. What does he have on his bars? Midichlorian mission scanners? L2P Qui-Gon. More like Qui-nub amirite?
  9. That does look pretty bad. I hope they change it. Put me in that, apparently, minority(seriously?) group that liked the previous animation. PS. Long text posts counting the number of times that an imaginary character throws stuff around in a movie made my week.
