Revenites (sp?) Why not just allow people to choose / be exiled from their current faction. Expand on the lore a bit give them a major victory and a planet, wah la insta faction.

Although I do agree with the O.P. I also agree with the people who are saying deal with it or close general chat. I never understood why a game maker would add such a feature. To me it is a pointless tool for the tools and morons to spout of idiotic B.S. It serves no purpose otherwise. I'd like to see a zone specific chat that you can only hear the people withing so many feet/meters of you. Sure it would make it harder to communicate en mass. Is that really a bad thing in an environment where you can't do anything to shut them up? The community is unable to police itself because we aren't trusted with the tools to do so. (with good reason) This is the true shame in it all. Someday some company will figure out the perfect balance. Until then just ignore them or feed them... it's your choice.

My first MMO was UO (feb. 98) and it seems everything that came after is easier... even UO itself. Although i long for the "good ol' days" I've grown use to easy mode. I wish I wasn't a carebear, but time and age has made me such. Although I refuse to complain about something being hard, unfair, or a waste of time. I may of become a carebear, but i refuse to be a whining nerf-herder!

My guild is not going to make the move. I am curious what is to become of those who refuse to move off the origin servers? I honestly don't mind the small population of our shard, since i am jaded to the masses of MMO players anyway. But no one can seem to answer for sure whats next? Are you just going to merge the remaining server populations or is there another solution? If you're one of those screaming the end result is deletion just keep it to yourself. BW/EA isn't going to do that. EA maybe an evil monster of a corporation, but come on that outcome is highly unlikely. Thanks in advance.

EA is a big boy, they can handle it. If they were so sensitive they'd of banned me for life years ago. I griped/raged a lot over the years about the state of UO. (and future direction of) Those in power at EA don't care what we think as long as they make a profit. They are after all a corporation and the dollar means more then anything else. *edit* typo
