  1. I know However comma pause there is always the slim chance that as things change over time the idea may actually gain some traction in dev land.

OK here's the deal, IMHO with the addition of so many larger speeders the area around GTN terminals and mailboxes near them can and has become a parking lot as people idle whilst browsing GTN or mailing/receiving mail. Clicking the GTN and mail terminals become problematic and there seems to be a graphics performance hit for some/many with so many speeders AND people stacked up in one place. So the suggestion is, make the area around all GTN terminals dismount zones, if mail terminals are addressed individually then the mail terminals on fleet and those near GTN terminals should (IMO) be dismount zones, if adding a dismount zone to mail terminal is a global deal I don't think that there are any that someone passing by on a speeder would get any more than a warning flash as they passed by. On to the Less speeder restrictions. Places like The Senate tower, Alderaan palaces or any large complex that we, as players, *must* travel through repeatedly to visit mission contacts in person should have their dismount zone status removed, as things stand right now IMHO they are nothing more than a buff draining timesink.
  3. Sad but true .. except for advanced lightsaber hilts and maybe some enhancements the advent of +41 crystals in packs and the introduction of custom shields and focus for sale made 2 artifice sections useless
  4. Yeah ... add to that the implication that everyone was to get the new crew skill cap (later revoked but not in a general notice kind of way) and the confusion just got worse.
  5. This has been around since day one, add to that crafters eat into the cartel market sales and I wouldn't expect to EVER see a fix. As to the advanced skill missions the devs said there are no gift missions so the odds of getting a useful mission should be much higher

  7. Well .. there are some cute things they say .. but still IMO they tend to repeat the same stuff endlessly and thats why I'd like to turn off.
  8. Thought I would take a ride on one of my favorite dead horses again. The random stuff companions say is really annoying after a while, from Elara's continual "hold still" while heal spamming, Kaliyo and the "Dibs on the head" phrase and the gawdsawful nonsense spewed by any companion (droids #1) assigned to a skill task ... ... these thing while thye may have provided some entertainment in the beginning are now cringeworthy at best. Please .. let us turn these off.

Sorry but the endless repeating of a couple phrases gets to be annoying, ship droids being the worst IMHO but the rest aren't far behind, "dibs on the head" "hold still" "better check to see if I have all my parts" etc ad infinium ad nauseum I'm just talking about the random audible phrases during gameplay and skill workings, not the chat lines or anything else

I'm bringing this back from the dead for 2 reasons. 1) The CTD bug has made using the relog workaround suicidal in terms of game time longevity 2) I just had a runthough with a toon that has Investigation and Underworld Trading, level 400 in both, all missions all levels both skills were gifts and lockbox (Investigation) or Gift and fabric (UT) ... not a single compound or metal mission of any kind in any level. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?
  14. The bug listed t here is the level 6 crew missions returning less materials than intended, not the lack of mission types withing categories.
  15. For instance check out Underworld Trading mission list, I've had times when there are no underworld metals missions at all, just fabrics and crew gifts. There is a work around where you assign all your crew to the junk missions within a level list, force a load screen, then look for a useful mission, cancel current crew missions missions to take the new one. Not only is this a pain but doesn't always work. Price of crafting materials only obtainable through crew missions has skyrocketed on the GTN. Hmmm, wonder if those are also going to be available in the new pay to win cash store As to the reverse engineering now that you mention it it does seem like its taking quite a few more RE's to get a schematic ... guess that would also work towards killing off crafting prototype and greater items.

It seems to me with the crew missions in Diplo, Underworld, Treasure Hunting and so on being bugged (fabric and gift missions no metals, med supplies etc) combined with the GTN issues and other thing that the upcoming free-to-play (aka pay to win) has put crafting on the endangered list. Whats up? Will prototype and better gear cut into the future cash store sales that much? Really?

As much as I like the idea the chances of a rollback are on par with being a single winner of a mega lottery, and since some feel, and I tend to agree, that 1.4 was pushed live on directions of the corporate masters to coincide with the WoW release ... I guess EA/Bioware execs are frightened by assassin pandas or whatever it was.

  19. The selection of "no class" equipment sux, no matter what class is assigned at least it will open up some equipment choices.

  21. Really? Then how do they explain the people that have been standing in the same spot in the port for the last 9 months?
  22. So here I am looking at the first 3 levels of diplomacy and seeing nothing but gift missions, this after swapping out from a toon with underworld trading that had nothing but gifts and fabric. Now I know you can send companions on these missions then force a load screen to get some new missions but the question still is .. WHY?!? ... are the devs so desperate for time sinks that we have to resort to logout/login or other load forcing mechanics to play? Its not like you can find UT metals or Diplo medical supplies lying around to be scavenged, nor are gemstones available any other way but Treasure Hunting missions, can't they be happy with all the "mounts are not allowed" zones you have to trudge through to talk to someone for 20 seconds? Or the multiple load screens required to talk to your companion on your ship?
  23. Actually IMHO to "fix" this they need to change from total random to a set of fixed slots (this applies to all crew skills IMO). For UT it should be 1 gift, 1 metal, 1 fabric, plus 2-3 randoms. Whether the fixed slots are moderate or rich is still totally random but there should always be 1 of each type available. The other crew skills should also be set up the same way, diplomacy I've noticed tends to be a Gift-a-thon also.
  24. I thought it time to revive this in light of the massive annoyance this becomes when you buy legacy perks for shipboard use.
