  1. I love how even with the start of the new PVP season, no PVP pops because everyone left. The hubris of the devs to continue to double down on not getting server transfers in order to placate a tiny minority who care about the GTN prices. To Broadsword UNDERSTAND THE SERVER NEEDS AN INJECTION OF PLAYERS NOW OR THE SERVER WILL DIE, it may already be too late.
  2. Honestly they really need to get the server transfers going now and not wait until March. The server population is so low currently, it needs an injection of players ASAP.
  3. If you drop the costs, of repairs, gearing, decos/ships/strongholds and crafting by 90%, I'm OK with this. If you actually think 2 million per toon (32 million total) is going cover basic expenses to play the game then you developers are completely out of touch with your own game. Just placing an augment in it's slot costs 100 K, a single tactical costs 1 million credits, every time I die it costs me 30,000 credits, that 32 million will evaporate quicker than I can count, on nothing more than in game credit sinks and I won't be spending my downtime farming heroics just to play.
  4. No one is playing, and if there are no credits the few people left will quit. Players do not have enough credits in game to do what they need to, I for one am sick of playing my one geared toon and would like to play others, this cannot happen until credits come in. Also there has never been nor will there ever be cross server PVP in this game.
  5. In preventing economy inflation BS have just killed the server, no one is playing, groups aren't forming, PVP is dead and all the players who came back because of the of the APAC servers/low ping have long gone. GG BS your inability to make a decision has meant your experiment has failed. If you were going to make "SWTOR classic" you needed to make the economy in terms of credit sinks the same as at launch.
  6. Well despite having a different viewpoint. I don't like seeing anyone unsubbing this fledgling server.
  7. So does that mean you aren't subbed?
  8. On an already dead server, but of course they don't do group content so needing other players on the server is irrelevant to them.
  9. No because repair costs are game breaking (it was an anti-inflation move designed for American servers where raiders have billions, not here), not being able to afford a vanity item on the GTN is not, it just means you won't get to wear that pretty dress you want to the debutante ball.
  10. In other words, your play style is more important than theirs. Sorry are paying extra to sub?
  11. You think most people are making 2-4 per day farming heroics and dailies, lol in 30 minutes, got news for you those that are doing that are spending hrs every day doing those. I have more news for you most players are not going to spend hrs every day farming heroics/dailies to do the part of the game they want to do. Most have lives.
  12. These people have no interest in solo content. IWhy can't people understand that? They log in raid and leave. That's what they enjoy. And no 30 minutes of heroics will not cover 15 wipes in 344 gear.
  13. One of the factors in a prog raid team is wiping. You may wipe 15 times on one boss in one night, that's an awful lot of credits being wasted for repairs to play the part of the game they enjoy.
  14. I'm spending anything on my companions until I get my credits in the transfers and they will be much more expensive then. I'll do a comparison but even allowing for your current numbers 1.3 x 8 = 10.4 million, that's 1 crew skill with 8 crafters multiply that by 6 and you get the cost. (62.4 million) and the 18 million to get you skills up and you are looking at 80 million.
  15. The mats can be farmed, however getting my companions up does cost about 4 million a companion to 50 and yes that's important both from a time perspective and a critical chance perspective so that will be about 32 million per crew skill to get 8 companions to 50. I haven't even mention the approximate 3 million it costs getting your skills to 700. Thats 18 million right there.
  16. Did it ever occur to you that people have done the story (countless times), have PVP'ed. done GSF, Alliance chapters, seeker droids, run solo content (dailies/heroics etc) and found that raiding is what keeps them playing? I can say hand on heart if there was no PVP or raiding I wouldn't play and I've done everything in this game.
  17. Against my better judgement I'll respond, I have stated clearly with actual figures the costs involved in gearing, crafting and repairing and at no point have I ever said billions in transfer credits, my figure was 6 toons with 20 million credits per toon being the absolute lowest and 50 million probably a fairer number, at no point have you countered any of my credit costs so you are taking numbers as factual, if that is so then you will realise that most of that 50 million credits will disappear quickly from either/all of crafting, gearing and repairs. To gear in purple augs by your numbers takes about 600 heroic missions to complete, who honestly can say doing 600 heroic missions is fun? But to gear in gold augs takes 4 x that (currently) so who wants to grind 2400 heroics? Then you have the audacity to say players aren't really committed because they don't want to "grind" and "but the poor new players", show me any new player who wants to grind that?. Like I said before you know nothing about the server economy.
  18. Depends on how many credits the players can bring. If players can only bring 3 million per toon there is no way they will be 220 on SV.
  19. No what I want is the credits to get my companions to 50 and craft them myself. It why I said it probably should be 50 mill per toon given repair costs, crafting cost and gearing costs.
  20. because 50 million for an entire set is alot differnet to 220 million for 1 gold augment
  21. Yeah but unless that gets bound on transfer players can then resell on SV inflating the costs on that server. Because Augment are bind on equip. You also assume everyone has the credits to buy 14 gold augs on American servers.
  22. Yeah but the new players won't be able to min/max either.
  23. This is my last post responding to you. Don't take this personally, but you having no idea about anything in terms of the server economy. You don't know the costs of repairs, you don't know the cost of crafting and you don't know the cost of gearing. I'll give youj a lesson of the current state of gearing, currently if I wish to min/max gear I will be looking at around 55-60 million if I both PVE and PVP FOR ONE SPEC (not a class, a single spec) If I have have Tank/DPS class its actually double that because each gold aug on the GTN is about 3.5 million (on SV) there are 14 augment slots 14 x 3.5 = 49 million then you have tacticals x 3 (at least) then you need augment kits 100 K x 14 and then opening the augment slots is 100 K x 14. Just off that it's 54.8 million for 1 spec, maybe you should stay in your lane and know what you are talking about. Understand this changes for PVP because accuracy requirements change in PVP in compared with PVE so you are looking at least another 3 gold augs to min/max for PVP.
  24. If players who have already grinded have to regrind all their wealth back the server will die (I cannot say it any clearer). Cry about new players all you want, the players who have continued to play for the last decade will leave. They do not want to have to go credit farming anymore (they have already done that). The only reason they are here is because it's an APAC server and the ping is so much better, if the ping on the American servers was the same they would all stay there.
  25. Even if I've transferred my companions on another toon over maybe I want multiple crafters (this is how you make money by crafting a ton of mats, and having people too lazy to craft buy them off you, if you aren't lazy you won't buy what I sell). That 15 million was on SV it would have been 500 million on an American server Exactly, I've already done this along with pretty much every other veteran in the game and you expect them to go and run heroics to pay for repairs? That's a sure fire way for people to quit the game and when one player quits a raid team on a server this small it in all likelihood means the group dies and you lose 5 or 6 players. There's a reason they raid, apart from the challenge they do it for the social interaction, they have no interest in farming the same boring solo quests time and again so they can do the thing they actually want to do.
