  1. Awesome, I am reading through this. I changed to Concentration as I was told that'd better than Combat. Also, been kicked from 2 straight PVP ranked matches due to having 236. I get it, but bullying people trying to play and learn isn't fun. In fairness people can tell I have crap gear and sit on me anyway. I am 100% the focus target of every match. I'll see if I can record some matches. Can I ask how you are key binding? This game as far more buttons to press so I cannot keybind everything I need.
  2. I realize my item rating is only 236 but I cannot look up the top rated Sentinels to see how they are specced. Every BG I enter, I am sat on by the opposing team (maybe they can check my item level and see I am easy to kill). Current Spec: SKILLFUL: Jedi Enforcer Stoic MASTERFUL: Force Face Ardor Pulse HEROIC: FleetFooted LEGENDARY: Zealous Judgement Intercessor Any ideas? Or am should I be Watchman or Ceoncentration? I really just want to have some semblance of balance in PVP. Even 1v1 I am getting wrecked.
  3. Ok, I don't disagree with that at all. What is the problem with Bolster? The fact that they can compete (and sometimes dominate) players who have earned better gear?
  4. 1. Juggernaughts, Marauders and Sorcs need a nerf. 2. Healing needs a nerf. It shouldn't take 4+ players to kill a healer. Just look at the damage in WZs and the fact it takes 4 people to kill any of the classes in #1 but those classes alone in lesser gear can just destroy people. I think this is SWTORs effort to get more people to play the Sith side. After all if you have an unfair advantage more people will play that side. Just like WOW. Whatever the flavor of the month is, people will play them and the WZs are full of Warrior/Sorc classes who dominate everything else. You wonder why people don't want to play this game? It's simply unbalanced. Smash classes and Sorcs are owning the game, owning WZs and making everything else obsolete.
  5. This is the most un-balanced game since WOW came out. I really enjoy being stunned to death and destroyed by hackers, cheaters and players who only join WZ as teams/groups. I haven't won a PUG WZ in forever. I get killed in litterally 5 seconds. Honestly, I see no fun in this game when it's so un-balanced in PVP its completely pointless to even log in. This patch completely destroyed whatever fun I was having playing it where at least I could last in a match long enough to do SOME damage. Not anymore. Since WOW just lost 1.3 million users in the past 4 months, I suspect SWTOR will also go the way of the Do-Do bird and die right along with it. Games that are completely unfair and not fun to play always die out. And so will SWTOR. Unless there's some magical patch coming out to stop cheaters and hackers and balance the game, it's going to die, mark my words.
  6. This game, right now as it is, is worse than the worst versions of World of Warcraft. 1. Players easily using hacks in the game. 2. Severely unbalanced PVP matches (even WOW tried to balance PVP matches!) 3. Severely overpowered classes. 4. PVP match "quitters" leaving others to join an already losing match. 5. Imp side classes far more powerful than Rep side (based on the hackers or just bad programming, I haven't figured it out yet). If there is no balance in PVP or WZ matches, there's no fun. When you one side (Imp) completely dominating the other side (Rep) then one has to go "Am I having fun playing this game?!" The answer is: No. This is why games like SWTOR are going to die. Blizzard works overtime to balance PVP and PVE content so that the game remains interesting and challenging without losing players to sheer frustration. Blizzard learned to listen to players. I wonder if SWTOR is going to learn their lessons and make a better, fair and balanced game.

  8. Very sneaky but very, VERY, VERY squishy! But there was no way to "burst" anyone down as the damage output now is -- well -- pathetic at best. It was an old spec I looked up. Apparently BW nerfed it hard which is why they are all Kinetic or Balance. I just ran my first round in this spec and at least my damage output is better and I can stay alive
  9. I went Kinetic and thank you for the help. Playing a bad spec was the problem, I'll just have to get used to the new spec. If I don't like it I will go Balance
  10. Let's see, I get rocked by ... well, every class in the game. (I'm in full BM gear with every piece augmented so I have 17.5k health and 1000 DPS). I cannot even pressure a healer. I get steamrolled by Marauders, Operatives, Tanks and especially Sorcerers. Clairvoyant Strike x 2 Force Potency Force Breach Spinning Strike (If the target is at or below 30% but thye never are) Shadow Strike if possible This doesn't pump out much damage. On average my crits hit around 3k-3.5k but I'm often hit for 5K plus (once i was hit for 8k, not sure how that happened). What am I doing wrong? I stun them to get behind to try to do a shadow strike but against things like Operatives (with so many dang stuns) and Marauders, they simply far out DPS me. I don't have a DOT as infiltration that matters and DOTs/AOEs alone take most of my health. One a one for one ratio, other classes are simply out DPSing me. I've read guides and tried to follow them but it just seems like I haven't a clue how to play the game. This isn't counting a WZ where it's always 2-3 vs me, but in 1v1 scenarios, the listed classes above just pound me into the sand. Even using consumables don't help. I try to save my defensive moves when I know some sort of CC is coming but honestly, I've about had it with the game. Also, if you look at the DPS rankings after a WZ match, Shadow classes are around mid. AOE or Ranged classes are doing 3-4 times our damage. I'm wondering how the developers feel this is fair when, even if you're not the target, the huge AOE/DOT damage alone is going to kill you. Any thoughts?

  12. Can we please do something about AOE damage, especially in PVP. Dots are hitting harder than my melee damage and it's making any DPS class wearing light armor a punching bag. Not enough damage, not enough protection, no way to heal ourselves and basically get smashed in the mouth by AOE/DOT damage alone. Who programmed this game? I mean seriously, I know they cannot (read: WILL NOT) balance the game for fair play but watch Shadow Classes vs everyone else. We're simply getting steamrolled against every other class in the game. The damage alone from DOT/AOE makes my class look like a laughing stock. What a joke.

    WZ Leavers

    Many people are quitting because Rated WZs never pop. It's mostly IMP teams that are face rolling REP teams because we have no cross-realm WZs and the fact we have no ARENAs leaves us with a BORING and UN-BALANCED game. Cutting out the monthly isn't going to save the game. Fun, balanced PVP WITH Arena teams will. It saved WOW.
  14. They're already OP. Any further buffing will chase the last players left who actually enjoy PVPing.
  15. Agreed. BW can't balance the classes so it will be "as usual" with "Flavor of the Month" classes over-buffed while other classes nerfed. Blizzard got it close. BW is light years behind learning balance. And where are my damn ARENAS!?
  16. 1. Regular WZ's - How do you feel this aspect is doing currently on your server? -- It sucks. Rep teams play OVER-GEARED Imp teams. Reps leave the game, I walk into a halfway done or done WZ. ZERO POINTS. NO FUN! Rated WZ's - How do you feel this aspect is doing currently on your server? -- We don't have rated WZs as there are no WZ teams and the wait for a rated WZ takes hours. World PvP - How do you feel this aspect is currently doing on your server? -- What World PVP? I only WZ PVP. Class Balance/Changes - With some tweaks already made, and a few coming in the 1.4 update, how do you feel about PvP and the current class balance? -- Sorcerers, Marauders, Tanks, Operatives all OP. Every match in WZ is against either a pre-made or a full WH geared team. We lose every time. Server Stability - How healthy is the PvP playerbase on your server? -- All the PVPers on the Rep side are terrible. Guild Stabilty - How healthy are active PvP Guilds on your server? Seen an increase, decrease? Or perhaps consolidation of a few guilds into one guild? -- All the guilds on Fatman don't pvp. What guild? How do you feel about PvP as a whole in SWTOR? Comments, recommendations? -- Terrible or at the very lease, unbearable. It's completely NOT fun and a waste of time. No "quitter" de-buff which would stop people from quitting WZ matches. The balance is between classes is totally screwed up and there are ZERO arena teams. That's why WOW has survived is they made adjustments. This game is like a third world country. Far, far behind the times. ************** I'd like to forward this information to the PvP development team, or at least link them to this thread, so they may get an idea of how players feel about the current state of affairs of PvP. I'd like to ask everyone who replies to keep it civil as best as they can, and to stay on topic. I'm in hopes that either Gabe or someone in the PvP dept (other than AllisonBerryman) will weigh-in on player thoughts here. If you feel a legitimate question was not asked, please forward it to me via PM, and I will gladly add it to the list. Thanks peeps.
  17. 1. Gear scored Warzones. In other words, because the RANKED WZ pops are very few and far between (sometimes HOURS without a rank WZ popping) all of the geared Imps are playing a fully geared team against under-geared Reps. This makes our (Reps) win/loss ratio in WZs poor and hard to actually complete Weekly quests. Stop playing over-geared teams against under-geared teams. Not fair, not fun. 2. Implement ARENAS (like WOW) for 2s, 3s and 5s teams so we can actually earn our PVP gear. No point in making WZ rated gear available when there are hardly EVER any ranked WZs popping. 3. You really need to do something about Operatives, Sorcerers, Marauders and Tanks in this game. They are already overpowered as they are. As a Shadow, I die to AOE alone and have no way to heal myself yet I have the lightest armor in the game. We cannot pressure healers or tanks and gosh forbid in an Operative, Sorcerer or Marauder gets on me. It's "good freaking night". That game is not balanced for PVP. Sounds like whining and honestly I could care less. But as a long time WOW player, PVP balance and striving to get there is why people continue to play WOW. Because we have options (Arenas, not just the same damn boring WZs every day) and because there was some balance in PVP where skill mattered far more than gear or talents. Fix the game if you want people to continue playing. I personally only play for PVP and right now the PVP on SWTOR is beyond bearable as is. It's unbalanced, boring and unfair. Without arenas, there's really nothing to look forward to other than queing up for the same damn boring WZs.

  20. Yes. 2s, 3s and 5s arena matches. It would also give the developers a platform to BALANCE THE CLASSES (Oh my gosh, what a novel idea!!!). Again, as I said in an earlier thread, that is how Blizzard kept people interested in WOW was simply by adding arenas and it gave them a way to see how the classes fair against each other in smaller groups. Plus, its a better way to get your PVP gear (rated PVP gear) vs trying to find players to play on a rated WZ team and then the sometimes hours long waits for WZs to start. People want to be able to play Arenas where you have smaller teams (again 2s, 3s, 5s) where the waits are short and you can actually GET your rated PVP rewards....
  21. Again I am NOT talking about sub level 50 WZs. I am talking ONLY about level 50 WZs here. When joining a WZ I often find most of the Reps are in BM gear or Recruit gear (or a mix) against most of the Imps running in full WH gear. This leads to lopsided victories for the better "equipped" team, regardless of how hard we try to win the match. What Bioware needs to do is group up people joining random WZs with people in similar RATED gear. That way those with better gear face better opponents and those with lesser gear face only those in similarly rated gear. If the listen and set up 2s/3s/5s matches it should work the same way. This is how Blizzard was able to keep people interested in PVP and the game itself (because honestly PVE is boring) by making the matches fair and balanced. And it's also why Bio needs to nerf Operatives right now because most WZs I join have 4-6 Operatives in every match of 10 enemies. It's a stun/stun/burst feast where you're killed in 2 seconds because one "get out jail free" card every 2 minutes is of little value.
  22. What I mean is level 50 WZs should have teams pitted against each other with the same rated gear level. Not a team full of WH facing a team with just BM or recruit gear. No fun in that at all. Not talking about sub level 50 WZs.
  23. 1. People leaving WZs: There needs to be a 30-60 minute PENALTY to anyone who quits in the middle of a WZ. Too many people quit the game leaving the team down a player (or 2,3,4) and others end up joining a bad match or not getting any points because the match is almost over. WOW did this and it stopped people from "quitting" during a match. 2. Too much AOE damage: AOE damage needs a hard nerf. As a stealth class, I find myself being popped out of stealth and 1/2 dead due to just the initial AOE damage. 3. Tanks need a nerf and that "OH CRAP" button Warriors, Marauders, etc where they take little to no damage while they still do 100% of their damage needs a nerf and a longer cool down. 4. OPERATIVES: Need a HUGE, HUGE nerf. Way too many stuns, way too much burst damage. The WZs are flooded right now with Operative and Operative classes because they are the "Flavor of the Month" (re: Over-buffed) class in the game right now. 5. Hutt Ball: Reduce the damage from Fire and Acid pits. Too many players are abusing the ability to knock you into or pull you into either and lock you in place. 6. Getting knocked off a ledge and killed? Not fun at all. Who wants to play a game where you can't fight most of the time because you were running to your objective only to be immediately killed by being knocked off a ledge? 7. Spawn Time: The re-spawn time in WZs is too long. Can't tell you how many times I've been killed and dropped into the spawn that just spawned and I constantly get the "You will be removed if you don't leave the spawn area!" -DUH! I just died and rezzed in a spawn that just opened. Fix the stupid message (should only appear after not leaving in two full spawns) or shorten the respawn time. 8. WZ Grouping: PLEASE! Stop pitting under-geared players in level 50 WZs with people running in full WH gear. I'm running around in only BM gear at 17.3k health with everything augmented and I just get steamrolled by a team of FULL WAR HERO geared people. WOW fixed this by grouping teams based on GEAR rating. Honestly, you shouldn't be trying to grind your gear facing far superior geared foe all the time. It's a long grind to get your WH gear as it is, don't punish people grinding the gear by making them face people they cannot defeat. 9. Cross Realm: Not sure if this has been implemented or will be implemented but playing the same players over and over every WZ match is boring. We need some variety and the ability to face other realms. 10. Where are the 2s/3s/5s PVP ARENA matches?! That was the one thing that kept me around in WOW for the longest time was being able to play RATED 2s/3s/5s teams. Regular WZs are fun but not all the time. It's already hard enough to find a WZ team and then wait 30/40/50/60 minutes to wait for a RATED WZ to pop. Let's get some matches that are WAY more fun with TEAM PVP that works with the rating system so we can earn our PVP gear playing on a regular team. In other words, WE NEED ARENA 2s/3s/5s matches! I realize this isn't WOW but it's what is missing and/or needs to be fixed to make the game grow and attract players. That means no OP classes (Operatives/Tanks), it means Arena PVP for small teams (Not just WZs) and small fixes in the WZs. Cheers.
