  1. I understand why we have the amount of companions we do, and I support it. I appreciate the variety we have to choose from. I simply wish we could use them for more. If we choose not to use them for story or combat. I'm not really sure what you're implying with the gameplay comment. As I suggested to counteract massive profits from this sort of change they could simply reduce crafting mission rewards. Or increase their cost. Ideally, I would like it to be easier for players who do not have the time, or simply don't wish to create several alts for crafting. It would be a lot simpler if you could accomplish more on one character, and may even encourage more players to craft. I do not like the idea of increasing companion skill through crafting, simply because not everyone wants to craft. It would be a lot more time consuming and tedious than the system we have now.
  2. People have been wanting this for years. I feel like it would be worthwhile to your cause to compile all of the threads about this in your first post. Should it ever come to any dev's attention. Although I get the feeling they know pretty much everyone would want this and simply claim they can't do it. Either way, I'd love to see a hood toggle.
  3. I have two suggestions here: 1. Allow quick travel in spaceports, shuttle areas, & oribital stations. It's trivial, I know. But it would save people a small amount of time and effort. I think this should be applied to stronghold travel as well. 2. Allow more than 6 companions to be sent away for crafting. A lot of people are upset about the abundance of "useless" companions after kotfe. While I appreciate them for story purposes, it seems silly that they can't be used for crafting past 6. This would simplify crating some, sure. But it would also make a lot of people happy. And crafting rewards can always be changed if you want it to remain a massive pain in the--I mean a challenge. Obviously.
  4. First of all, nice Mass Effect reference. Now then. I personally think it would be really interesting if it turned out where refusing valkorian really was the wrong decision. And somehow there was a consequence to saying no by the end of it. Although it seems like an unlikely path for them to take. An even less likely thing they could do would be to somehow make Valkorian a sort of hidden companion. Like a certain someone from a certain other game they made (cough) Dragon Age (cough). I personally would be VERY amused by this. But again, extremely unlikely. I imagine if you allow him to "help" you he'll probably try take take control of you. But since this is an mmo they seem to have less creative freedom. It's likely that he'll have some level of control but not enough to severely impact your choices. And even more likely that by the time it really matters there will be a solution for the outlander to get rid of him regardless of what choices you made.
  5. I haven't done any of the new ops. So I never thought of that. But I guess you make a good point. They could at least make melee classes and consulars a little more interesting to watch. I mean lightsabers, fists, and air/rocks are great but...could probably use improvement.
  6. My main is a sorc. And for this game that's pretty flashy. So is the pyrotech powertech. But it could be better. The animations could be fancier, more wild. Livelier. Just something to make them more interesting. Or maybe I've just been watching them too long. I just feel like they could do better.
  7. I want a pet Tooka. for those unfamiliar it's a space cat that was in both tcw & rebels. they're super cute and I love them. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Tooka there's a link to the wiki.
  8. I would like the option to have both. some of the heroic stories were pretty interesting.
  9. I like this idea a lot. It's something I've wanted for years. Before the strongholds even came out. I think this would be a great way to implement it if the coding allowed it. they'd essentially just be reusing the ship models as a sh. and could even like another person said, add rooms if they wanted to...like a bathroom...because...that's important. Or a kitchen. simple stuff. Alternatively ship dyes might be fun. You know changing the colors of the inside or outside of your ship.
  10. This game's combat system is so...boring. SO boring. But I think it might help it out some if it was at least colorful and flashy. I mean this wouldn't be the first game to go that route (ie Dragon Age) of course with swtor being somewhat more cartoony there's a lot more opportunity for more visually appealing animations than Dragon Age. Just a thought.
  11. So when Koth left Lana sent us a letter about how he was being dumb. I personally think he's going to come back eventually. And I hope he does. I miss that cinnamon roll. And I really wanted to romance him on my bounty hunter. There's a lot of possibilities that could come with his return. Will he come back as an enemy with a vengeance? will he be remorseful? who knows. Anyone else have theories on Koth returning or perhaps disagree? If so why don't you think he'll return?
  12. I have been wanting an option for wrinkles for years. YEARS. So I would love this.
  13. I'd forgotten about their size. Although I wouldn't mind them scaling it down. I could just pretend it was a baby. This game isn't really canon anyways so an abnormally small Krayt is no biggie for me. As for the second point, there had never been ewoks either. They aren't even supposed to exist yet as far as I know. They just kinda pulled Treek out of their bums and said here you go. At least with Krayt dragons there are skeletons and mentions of them.
  14. It would be cool if we could have a krayt dragon companion. If we can have an Ewok companion there's no reason we can't have a krayt dragon. Say it was resurrected from a fossil or it's the last of its kind. I don't really care what you tell me. It's Star Wars. I will accept just about anything. I think people would pay for something like this. I would at least.
  15. Houk Sith would be pretty hilarious. And surprisingly fitting. Especially for a Sith warrior. Think about it, Baras is big and...comical. And Houks are big and well. Houky. And with the options you can pick as a warrior you cannot tell me that class was meant to be taken completely seriously.
  16. I'm serious. I want to play as a Houk. For those of you unaware, this: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Houk/Legends They are adorable and they look like toads. Don't like Skadge? BE A BETTER SKADGE! They'd be great for multiple classes. And they speak Basic. I know what you're gonna say: oh but they have clipping issues. Fine. I can wait. Years if I must. Togrutas happened eventually. Why not Houks? It would be great. Seriously people, back me up on this one. You know you want this. Think of all the funny potential. Think about it.
  17. I think my companion of choice to get the boot would be Blizz. He was cute at first but I can't stand his squeaky little jawa voice. I don't hate him but he bores me to death. He has his moments though. I'd probably pick Skadge over Torian too though.
  18. Nice to see a few people that at least don't hate him. He's not my favorite from that crew. But it kinda bums me out to see him get no love.
  19. Clearly most of you have entirely missed the point of the word "appreciation". BUT THAT'S OKAY BECAUSE I HAVE ENOUGH OF THAT TO GO AROUND. I actually googled this just to see if I was the only person who actually genuinely likes this character. I'm not entirely convinced that most of this hate is solely based on appearance. Everyone knows he looks like a year old pile of dog ****. But he's actually pretty funny. Sure, he's the definition of Horrible Person, but isn't that what you play imp side for? Horrible people? I mean come on. Sure Mako and Torian are adorable puppies, but let's face it. Torian has no sense of humor, none. And half the time he doesn't bother to translate. The boy speaks two sentences per conversation if you're lucky. And mako is precious and quirky, her conversation line is incredibly well written, but you may as well crawl in a dark whole if you're not mostly or entirely lightside. No one likes being guilted and yelled at. My point here is that they can get boring. But if you're tough enough to go darkside, Skadge is great. And he says some funny stuff along the way. His conversation line is pretty entertaining too. It can really feel like two bros banging around the galaxy having a good time. Even if you just wanna pick on him he's worth bringing. He's a nice alternative to Gault if you want someone tougher and with a less whiny voice to compliment your big scary bounty hunter. So yeah. That's my essay of unpopular opinion.
  20. I think wrinkles would be a lovely idea. It's ridiculous that we can't have them. We already have the hair for it. Why not give us the rest? I mean come on. No one ages with perfectly smooth skin.
  21. I think I've got it down now. I've been using taunt more in my rotation and it seems to help. There's still the occasional one or two enemies that break away, but from what you and the others say that's normal. Thank you all for the useful info. I'll keep practicing and see where it goes. (:
  22. Well I've been making better use of saber reflect. Using it more often than I was (which has helped a ton). But I still have issues with chunks of the mobs breaking away from me. Especially when it comes to dps with better gear than me. For example right now I've got basic gear and say there's a dps with elite or ultimate gear, even with guard on them they can still pull enemies away from me pretty easily. And while taunts are usually a good fix for that they can only do so much. It's very hard to regain threat when saber reflect and taunts are on cooldown though. Should I be taunting regularly even if nothing has broken away from me yet? I usually try to save my taunts for situations like that. I mean I could just be worrying about this too much idk.
  23. I have read the guide, yes. As I said it didn't really help me out much. I've been following the rotation as said in the guide and swapping my guard depending on who is taking the the most damage. Somehow I still have a lot of trouble maintaining threat, especially mid-combat and onward. I'm fine with single target fights and even some where there are 2-3 targets (like most boss fights in flashpoints) but when it comes to spread out mobs and fights where enemies are immune to taunts it's just plain embarrassing. The AoE rotation from the guide helps a little, but again still having issues keeping the enemies on me. I'm level 65.
  24. I've started playing a jugg tank recently and while I've tried it in the past I've always been horrible at it. I'm fine with other tanks but for some reason I have a lot of trouble holding aggro on my jugg. I know it's not the class' fault because there are plenty of amazing jugg tanks out there. I've tried reading the dulfy guide on jugg tanking and it didn't seem to help me much at all. It's just not clicking with me. I was hoping maybe some advice from the players might help me out a bit. Also this is for PvE.
