  1. Sure Im disappointed. I still cant believe how they can make MMO feel so single playing game, and it only get worse people make more alts on different kind of servers, 2 month more and this game is full of individual jerks, if not already. My hopes are up for Elder Scroll Online in 2013.
  2. You seem like an intelligent person. Tell me, have you tried Elder scrolls Online which isn't meant to be released until 2013 and which also has little information out about it currently?

You are comparing swtor to an mmo that is not even out yet and could be a huge disaster for all we know. Think before you speak.

Theres already fresh ideas to add co-op for example. 100 vs 100 vs 100 how MMO that is for you? Best player in PVP can be promoted to Emperor? Thats MMO stuff.

  3. I see the reviews are already in. :p

Yes, I know that "AAA" means a big, expensive, well-advertised game published by a big name publisher.

    It also means "expensive crap".

Well, that isnt nice thing to say, dont you think. Sure MMORPG's takes always heavy critique but million of people enjoy them hundred of hour. TESO promises 120 hour for example.

  4. SWTOR only needs "saving" if it drops below 500,000 paying subscriptions. That's the number EA or BioWare threw out there as the "profitability" line.

Of course I'd hope that EA/BW wants to see bigger numbers than that and, if they do, I imagine they'll do what they believe are the right things to make that happen.

Its not too late. Definitely wait 2 month, give another free month to see if people are still interested.

  5. A game that isn't likely to see the light of day for years, if ever, has no positive or negative influence on any current game.

I have been a fan of Bethesda games since they first started out. However, even as a fan of Bethesda there are certain things that are a given with their products: They will be bug-riddled, they will be late, and they will almost be great games. All of their ES and Fallout games were vastly improved by user-created content that will not be a part of any MMO.

I wouldnt be so sure, 2013 is very realistic they started in 2007. 6 year for AAA MMORPG sounds ok.

  6. EA, Ubisoft, Nintendo, SEGA and Konami are the 5 largest game companies on earth (based purely on total development quantity), and it is easy to predict EA's dominance. All you have to do is watch their earnings grow as they acquire more and more studios and tear them down so that they can be absorbed into the EA infrastructure.

A minor stock downturn is meaningless. All company stocks are down, most for the past 2 years.

Dont get me wrong. I couldnt care less about EA. Im currently waiting Elder Scroll Online TBH. ;)

  7. It would make sense if you tried harder to make sense.

I don't own any EA games other than this one, so I'm not quite sure what you're on about.

My point stands. Electronic Arts will continue to crush their competition in this industry, because they don't put all their eggs in 1 basket. SWTOR is a small part of the framework of their operation, and the success of the company does not depend on it from this point on in the slightest.

The Sims franchise, the Madden franchise, the Battlefield franchise... they all make SWTOR look like peanuts.

Well, what you said doesnt make sense either, owning game industry? How the hell do you know if they stay in this industry. Also there are bigger fish than EA.

  8. How long has ESO had the engine? How do you know it is true? Please provide a link to whatever source material you are using, so we may know it too.....

ESO has been in development a long, long, time. We don't know when they got Hero. They haven't released that information. We don't know if they got the same piece of doo doo BW got, or if they got a complete engine to build off of.

Check the Elder Scroll Online forum. I dont have time to look it for you. Zenimax bought it like 1 year after Bioware. You wont believe but my source is trusthworthy.

  9. Reality Check...

Has anyone noticed that literally every company on earth's stock is down right now? :p

    But seriously...

EA is a monster. A mean old monster that treats it's employees like crap and makes some terrible games, but the strength of the company (as evidenced by recent past performance above) has nothing to do with garbage titles like this one. NCAA Football, Madden, NBA Live, Battlefield, The Sims... those earn the big bucks... and regardless of how much people love to hate EA, they will continue to own this industry for years to come.

They will continue to own YOU for years to come. Fixed it for you. EA is same ****** like before. Piss off 2 people to get 1 excited.

  10. Yeah WoW needed another game to be killed, SWTOR just needed BW :p

True, I wonder what happens to Elder Scroll Online. Sometimes I just dont understand it at all. . :D

  11. Actually most of the entire MMO community and the actual single player Elder Scrolls players are showing pretty much a negative stance towards ESO pretty much in unison , the info they have shown so far that it is so far removed from the Elder Scrolls games its not really ES just in name only, which a lot of people have already showed disdain towards...it comes off as (suprise) another WoW clone.

Of course because its not Skyrim MMO, its Elder Scroll Online. Just wait when they put on hype machine. Also its not end of single playing games either, they just want to try it as MMO. ;)

  12. As much as I hate to say this, I think GW2 may actually top SWTOR in hype to disappointment ratio.

Hhmm, no. GW2 is probably good game who like that kind of set-up, but aye, people just dont seems to understand what kind of shop thats in GW2. :p

  13. You are clutching at straws, SWTOR doesnt really run on the heroengine, they grabbed the source code from a pre production prototype version and re-engineered it almost entirely. The last software drop they had from heroengines creators was over 3 years ago.

    http://www.heroengine.com/2011/11/heroengine-meets-starwars/

This, its newest version they use for Elder Scroll Online, one notable note is better support for DX11. Hero Engine is built EXCLUSIVELY for MMORPGs, 100 vs 100 vs 100, PVP I know its true.

  14. What is a sandbox game?

    SWTOR can certainly have:

A "Jump to Lightspeed" style expansion - I can't think of one reason why this couldn't be added (except for development cost).

A RvR system like the RvRvR system currently being added to Rift (again a supposed "themepark" game) or like the WvWvW system in GW2.

There's no reason a supposed "themepark" MMORPG (which in SWTORs case seems to mean a very static MMORPG with full voiced quests - not entirely sure why that's a "themepark"), can't have sandy features or even a sandy expansion.

Things like this doesnt save the game, period. Most are waiting Elder Scroll Online, IMHO.
